Zwilling Cronidur 8 Bread KnifeI've owned a variety of top-of-the-line Henckels knives over the years but the Cronidur line beats them all. The bolster (where the blade and handle meet) is perfectly shaped for a professional chef's grip, offering both security and comfort. The knife balances nicely in my hand as well. This knife is expensive but the Cronidur steel Zwilling uses, developed for aircraft use, will retain an edge far longer than previously available alloys plus is highly resistant to corrosion.

Most importantly, this knife cuts thru even the most crumb-producing loaf as if it were butter. I've been looking forever -without success -for a knife capable of handling freshly baked homemade bread. This knife masters the task easily. Recommend it highly.

Knife looks and feels awesome. Razor sharp for a serrated edge. Fit and finish better than any of my Shuns, MACs, F. Dicks, etc.

This knife is made of crinidur 30 steel, which is an hard one (± 60 Rc), and the edge angle is smaler than for usual bread knife. This knife is realy sharp.

The finition of the hande is good but the finition of the blade could be better.
