The article is not as described -it is not "crystal clear." It had a brushed pattern on the top that I did not like at all -the whole point was to let my granite countertop show through, and that was not as expected. And it doesn't feel right when a sharp nice slices down against glass. This can't be good for your sharp knives. I do not recommend this product -I returned mine.
