I bought this set because I really wanted some descent steak knives. They are better than any I ever used even those in fine dining establishments. When I was reaching for the paring knife and it was being used I grabbed one of these instead and it cut any and everything for me like a breeze. The expression hot knife through butter is how I have described this knife to friends regardless of what I was cutting. I do recommend these to people even eye to eye because I know they will have no remorse. If you have never had nice steak knives try these, it is one of those treats that you didn't know you were missing until you first experienced it.
