As a gift for one of my staff I purchased this knife. He has one at home that was given him by a family member and he mentioned it a few times so I bought one.
It is a heavy knife, but that does enable some smooth cutting and in our American way of knife use effectively bashes through whatever you put in the cutting board. Nice and sharp, but already after just a month or so has dings in the blade. Maybe from mishandling.
