I'm not a person who cooks everyday, but I use these knives for cutting vegetables, meats, and fruits several times per week. They work well, and hold up fine in the dishwasher. I don't use the stand, because I store them against a magnetic strip on the wall. The knives look good in the kitchen because they're colorful, but they're practical, too. The colored coating seemes to keep food from sticking too much to the blades. The only thing that I had a bit of trouble cleaning off was darker juices from red meats. When all is said and done, these knives do a good job under moderate use.

Colorful, practical, and economical.....a great deal for the price. We have a kosher kitchen so the colors make it very easy for us to separate the dairy knives (colors) vs steel for meat.
