Items are very poorly packed, resulting in heavy damage in shipping due to faulty packing. Knives are not the hollow handled thicker ones that are depicted on box and on Amazon. They are cheaply cast handles, solid, flatter and unbalanced and too heavy. Very poor and false representation.
This flatware is heavy and has a good feel in the hand. It's very shiny and looks impressive and elegant but not overwhelming as part of a place setting. My dishes are casual and it works with them, and I also think it would work very well with more formal china. What really sold me is that it's 18/10 stainless--except for the knives, which are 13/0--so it should be more durable than the 18/0 flatware that's become the norm.
