Simplehuman are misleading their customers by saying their dishracks are RUST-PROOF. Our System Dishrack developed rust within 7 months of use. We decided to buy this overpriced product because we thought it would last longer than our previous products boy, were we disappointed.

The dish rack itself is simple, functional, and good looking, BUT the lower tray where the water drains is just poorly designed. It has a drain spout that can be adjusted to drain from two different sides of the rack. You can remove a plug and then move the stainless steel spout to either side depending on how you want it to face on your counter. Well we found out the plug leaks! No matter how well we inserted the plug it still leaked. Water was all over the counter and running down the cabinets. Water also pools by the edges of the tray because it isn't contoured to allow the water to flow in any direction. It's just flat. The lip around the tray is not high enough to keep the water contained therefore the water just pours out the sides onto the counter. I'm disappointed and going to take it back and buy something else.

This dish rack isn't rust-free and not made of durable plastic.

It broke after few months of using it.

They have no replacement.

We really love this drainer. However, after 6 months of (careful) use, one of the plastic pieces holding the metal drainage part has broken off, so that the drainage part falls out continuously, into the sink. I'll check the warranty and see if we can get another, but really for the price this shouldn't happen.

Update: It has a 5 year warranty and Amazon have exchanged it already, within 2 days. I now have a brand new dish rack, with a much sturdier drainage spout housing than the previous one. This really is a great product and I'm very happy.
