Farberware Ceramic 3-Inch Paring Knife with Sheath, Soft Grip HandleI loved the first one I bought so much that I got another one for the motor home. I thought I had alredy reviewed this, but Amazon is asking me again to do so. I used to let a metal knife go dull so that I would not cut myself slicing bananas or strawberries, but then the knife would get too dull. This gem cuts through fruit like butter, but shows no inclination to cut me.

I had used ceramic knives at my brother's house that seemed sharper than this, but even so, it's a nice knife

Heavier than it looks, nice (relatively) fat handle. Starts cuts on tomato skins more easily than most of my steel knives. Pretty much perfect for a paring knfe, just remember to be careful how you set it down, and don't pry with it. And if you drop it, just get out of the way and pick it up after. Ow.

I broke my ceramic paring knife recently and replaced it with this one much cheaper and the same great quality as the $40 one I purchased several months ago.

The knife I received would barely cut an apple. Too dull to be useful, sharp enough to be dangerous the classic problem with a dull knife. I've heard good things about the sharpness of ceramic knives, but this one didn't live up to those expectations. Dull, and can't be sharpened.
