Heavier than it looks, nice (relatively) fat handle. Starts cuts on tomato skins more easily than most of my steel knives. Pretty much perfect for a paring knfe, just remember to be careful how you set it down, and don't pry with it. And if you drop it, just get out of the way and pick it up after. I broke my ceramic paring knife recently and replaced it with this one much cheaper and the same great quality as the $40 one I purchased several months ago.Want Farberware Ceramic 3-Inch Paring Knife with Sheath, Soft Grip Handle Discount?
The knife I received would barely cut an apple. Too dull to be useful, sharp enough to be dangerous the classic problem with a dull knife. I've heard good things about the sharpness of ceramic knives, but this one didn't live up to those expectations. Dull, and can't be sharpened.
