Norpro 1122 Grip-EZ 4-1/2-Inch Tomato Knife

We have had a 4-1/2 inch Forschner Victorinox knife for quite a while. We called it our "magic" knife because it performed so well and we used it all the time. It went missing almost 3 weeks ago. Figuring that we had just misplaced it, we waited and watched for it to turn up of its own accord. We have quite literally taken the entire kitchen and breakfast area apart trying to find it. I needed to do a bit of research to find when I had purchased it and what it was called. Fortunately, Amazon keeps quite good records that told me it was called a Tomato/Bagel knife. Unfortunately, Forschner does not currently make such a model. The website suggested this Norpro item (the only one it suggested in a similar price range to our original). We have had the replacement for just one day but, have used it several times. The new knife appears to be longer and is more pointed at the end. It is very sharp and has cut up fruit, vegetables, and bagels very well. We will have to use it a while longer to determine if it has magical properties.
