These are everything I expected and more. They make such quick work of chopping herbs that I went a little crazy with them today. Don't be an idiot like me and run your fingers over the blades...they're sharp! I don't know what I was thinking. The built-in blade cleaner on the guard is PERFECT.

I can't tell you how much easier this makes using fresh herbs!

My 2nd review: I was using these shears incorrectly and that led to my criticism of them earlier. They actually work pretty well if you don't try to snip too many herbs (like thicker parsley) all at once. I like the way these shears can chop soft herbs like cilantro and fresh thyme leaves. If you hold the fresh herbs by their stems and snip the leafy parts bit by bit, you get a nice pile of chopped herbs.

I am kind of obsesses with Wusthof brand in general! About this particular one, I can only complain about cleaning: kind of sucks to get blades completely clean. But effect is amazing and works 3-times faster than the regular cutting.

Overall the blades are very sharp, smooth and of good quality. Time saving and a lot safer than knives. It's very easy to use for prepare softer vegetables such as green onions and mushrooms. Fun to use too. Food tastes a lot better after shredded or sliced. With this, we cooked more fresh vegetables in our meals.

However if you have small hands it is a little heavy and the handles might be a bit too big. The only drawback is that the red plastic cap does not fit the shears so we had a hard time squeezing the blades into it. Now we just give up and the cap is useless.
