This is a fine, larger, firm plastic cutting board. I also own the older discontinued Farberware 12-by-18-Inch Poly Cutting Board with Microban (also bought from amazon, product B00005JRIB) and this was the closest model I could find when I wanted another. This one is thinner (1/4" thick vs. 7/16" for the old one) and lacks the channel grooves around the perimeter to catch juices from meat or fruit. It also doesn't have the Microban feature, although I can't say whether that really makes a difference.However, it still does the job well, and fits (barely) into a standard size dishwasher or standard kitchen drawer.
The older model has held up well with frequent use over 5 years of ownership, with the usual cut marks and a little discoloration, but with many more years left on it. This one, although thinner, seems to be the same quality white plastic and should also last for years.

After purchasing a smaller Farberware Poly Utility Cutting Board, I purchased this larger size. They're made from a dense material so knives don't gash into them as easily as some others I have. The boards are thinner than standard boards which makes for easy storage in my small kitchen, easy cleaning, and easy handling. They're extremely sturdy, no warping or bending problems here....solid as a rock. This larger size still fits in my standard dishwasher with no problem. Based on my use of the first board I purchased I expect I'll have these a very long time.
