Edgeware 50141 Ceramic Edge Electric Knife Sharpener

I was pleasantly surprised with this sharpener. It could not perform any better than it does. I guess the ceramic edge makes the difference. Had a Chef's Choice sharpener prior to this one and was never happy with it.

First of all, the section that sharpens serrated knives is MANUAL, not a wheel. It only sharpens smooth edge via the automatic process. However both portions did the job well. I don't believe its a good idea to use the automatic on serrated blades, at least that is impression I get. Its also difficult to find one that does sharpen serrated via a wheel and not manual pull through. But as the title said, dad wanted it for fathers' day and he is pleased! Watch your fingers!
