You would expect to spend this amount of money for just one of the knives of this quality. Well balanced, VERY sharp, and a great looking bamboo wood block with a classy stainless steel support. Fits our kitchen decor very well. Received this as a gift, and were happy to get it to replace our 30 yr old Chicago cutlery set.

First off this set is NOT dishwasher safe, so DO NOT purchase if that is your intention.. Okay this is a very well built set for the price and being made in China. The knives are sharp out of the box although I did hone them all quickly to be sure the edge was perfect before trying them out. I have single knives that cost over 3 times what this whole set is and I am very impressed with the way these perform for the price and they look awesome. Great for your home kitchen counter or as a gift to make someone else happy.. Looks and performs like a $100 set..
