When I bought my dishes several years ago, I didn't think about how the deep narrow bowls would be annoying to eat pasta out of. My mom has a set of really old pasta bowls from Crate & Barrel that I love and I've been looking for something similar for awhile now. I've been unsuccessful, until now.These bowls are perfect! I only got two in case they weren't quite right, but as soon as I pulled them out of the box I knew I'd be buying two more so I can have a set of four. The bowls are very wide and the depth is perfect for pasta, veggies or one of my favorites, shrimp and grits. The vibrant red color is gorgeous and will go well with my other red dishes. And let's not forget the price, this is a great deal for Le Creuset. I haven't had these very long so I can't speak to how well they'll stand up to washing and being stacked in the cupboard. But Le Creuset is a quality brand, so I'm not concerned.

This is a very shallow but wide bowl. I've used it for pasta as well veggies and other food items. It is very well made; very sturdy and makes for a colorful display.
