KitchenAid 16-Piece Black Triple Riveted Target Handle in Natural Block with Built-in Sharpener

KitchenAid 16-Piece Black Triple Riveted Target Handle in Natural Block with Built-in SharpenerThese are the best knives that I have ever had. Sure they will get dark spots over time, but if you wash and dry them thoroughly after you use them, they will stay sharp and rust free. The dark spots is the carbon working out to the surface, and is common on all high carbon blades. I also will spray some cooking spray on a paper towel and coat them lightly a couple times a year.

The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is the price. I guess that comes with the Kitchen aid name.

I read the reviews below and had to add my own. I bought this exact set at Target for my wife for Christmas 2 years ago. We really like these. They really need to be used on wood or soft-ish plastic cutting boards or the dull quickly, however they are easily sharpened in the attached sharpener. After using the sharpener, they are always super sharp.. my mom sliced her hand open with them about 2 months ago cutting produce because she was used to her dull knives...

Anyways, we ALWAYS / religiously hand wash these immediately after we are finished with them. No letting them sit dirty while we eat and cleaning them later when we do dishes. These get washed, DRIED, and put back in the rack. People who wash them and let them drip dry on the dish rack or stick them back in the block moist shouldn't be surprised that they are rusting. We're 16 months in with these and not one speck of rust or any sign of wear.

They look just like they did when I took them out of the package, and we cook a LOT.

Just sayin..
