These butter spreaders are very versatile. Equally adept at spreading butter on toast or pate on crackers. The Le Prix line is well made and slightly heavier than most flatware with plastic on it. The spreaders feel substantial in your hand, not cheap and flimsy.

Dear Spreader Customers, please do NOT buy these. The rule of thumb is you get what you pay for and 99% of the time that is true. Certainly, in this case, it is very true. This set of spreaders is inexpensive and the price reflects the quality. The bottom part of the handle of one of them was gapping open because the rivet didn't go all the way through and in general they were cheaply and poorly made. I returned them immediately and I really should have known better than to order in the first place.

I like these little knives so much that I am on my third set. I lost a couple of them while tailgating, replaced the missing ones with a new set and then lost all of those when our house burned down. So I replaced them again. They are attractive and sturdy and perfect for appetizer spreads. I just hope I don't have to order any more!

These white handled "Ginkgo " Le Prix spreaders are a great colour for most occasions. I use the red handled ones at Christmas time, and these new white handled ones in combination with the red ones will add a candy cane effect.

The blades are very stiff and just the correct length and the fake ceramic handles ( plastic ) are made for an adult size hand. They are well balance but do have a little weight to them, but that is a plus. Most spreaders are too tiny and far too light.

Remember: All "Ginkgo" Le Prix plastic flatware handles are NOT DISHWASHER SAFE regardless of who states what, or where you may read it. This applies to the Ginkgo Le Prix Flatware 20 pc sets as well.

The rivets are 100% fake and the plastic handles will soon split and separate from the steel insert blade. If you constantly wash them using a dishwasher they will not last 3 months.

The handles simple can't handle any long term or severe heat so " Wash All Ginkgo Le Prix Products by Hand " and they will last you forever.
