Progressive International 4-Piece set Food Safety Paring Knives

I have been using this knife set for nearly a year. I purchased these knowing that they were an inexpensive set of knives, but thought I might get a few years out of them. I am disappointed to find that within one year the knife blades are all rusting to some degree. A couple of the knives are only showing rust along the handle boarder, but a couple are showing rust along the blade closer to center. I use these knives daily and they go through the dishwasher often. One might be tempted to write the rusting off as a condition of the use my knives go through, but I have several Henkel knives that are put through the same use and these do not show any signs of rusting after 5+ years of use. In terms of initial value, these knives are fine. They have sharp blades, convenient covers, and sturdy handles. I know taking two stars off for a single issue may seem harsh, but rust is rust and, in my opinion, has no place on kitchen utensils. Also, I believe this takes away from the "value" of the knives if they don't even last a year.

These set of knives do the job! I put them to the test from day one. They were sharp enough to slice bread thin and for peeling an orange just fine.

I had a solitary green knife for well over one year that i took from Mom's drawer when I went over and it is still sharp. When i found the full set on Amazon, I had to have them!

I bought these knives so I'd have one to keep in my lunch bag and it's perfect for that (I kept the green one and it even matches the monogram on my bag). I gave one away and will either keep the others or save them for later. They're not super-sharp, but I didn't need a very sharp knife just one with a cover, and these are perfect for me.

these knives were bought after using those belonging to a friend. They were disappointing...not as sharp as hers or an old stainless steel one I've been using for years.
