Bagel Biter

Bagel BiterThis bagel cutter is everything the manufacturer claims it is but, in my case its of no use!! I buy my bagels from Costco and they are a good bargain; fresh, tasty and uncut. But, when trying to put them in the slicer they are too fat and wont go in without jamming! So I have two fine products that are incompatible. I investigated further and now know that I should have bought the commercial slicer.

Of all the bagel slicers I have tried, the "Bagel Biter" is by far the best. It's easy to use, cuts bagels evenly in half, precludes using a bread knife and is exceptionally easy to clean. I've tried at least four other bagel slicers and this one tops them all!

We use one of these at work, and it is the best thing to use to cut bagels safely. When I saw this online at such a great price, I had to have one myself. I don't know how many times I've cut my fingers using regular knives to cut bagels! This holds the bagel for you, and all you do is push the blade through the bagel. The blade is sharp enough to easily glide through with one push. It is great! If you've gotta have a bagel, make sure you've got the bagel biter!

This product is one of the best gadgets I have in my kitchen. We eat bagels at least 3 times a week and I love using the Bagel Biter. It cuts even and fast. It is so much easier than cutting with a knife and much safer. My daughter used to be afraid to cut a bagel because she's cut her finger more than once. She uses it all the time too. My only recommendation would be to put the Bagel Biter on a plate before cutting because all the crumbs come out the bottom. It is also really easy to clean. I usually just wash it in the sink but, I have also put it in the dishwasher and it came out great.

I bought one of these after using one in the caffeteria at work. Then I bought another after my mother took the first one!

Possibly inspired by the French revolution, the Bagel Biter borders on overkill but you can't question it's effectiveness. Drop in a bagel, drop the blade, start schmearing cream cheese. It's very quick, very safe (if you can figure out how to hurt yourself with this, you're too smart for that nonsense in the first place) and very easy to clean. It's nonstick blade should cleave every conceivable bagel in your life.

It misses 5 star perfection on account of messiness its straighthrough design deposits crumbs right on your countertop. A crumb catcher of some sort would be the garlic spread on the potato bagel :-)
