Wusthof 24-1 12-Inch Magnetic Knife holder

this is O.K. for small knives, but the magnet is not strong enough to hold much more. I have two other magnet strips that are both better than this one.

The dimensions on this item are incorrect. The magnet portion may be 12 inches but the overall dimensions are closer to 13 1/2, so don't buy it thinking (like I did) that you will put it in a 12" space.

Purchased this model largely because it bears a reputable brand and it's one of the shorter ones out there. Two stars because the molded plastic frame is nice and hefty. However, the magnets are on the weak side and the metal strips framing the magnets are not nearly true, causing the knives to rock and thus be even less secure on the already weakish magnets. I'll be returning this in favor of a hanging knife rack.

Great find on Amazon. It was a gift for someone who loves to cook and wanted a better way to keep knifes than throwinng them into a drawer. Great addition to his kitchen and makes him look a little more professional when cooking.
