Madesmart 2 by 15.4 by 6-1/2-Inch Spice Drawer Organizer
These spice drawer organizers fit:
[3] 4 & 1/4" up to 4 & 5/8" spice bottles in each row [total of 9 bottles/per organizer]
or [6] 2 & 1/8" spice bottles, stacking 2 in each row [total of 18 bottles per organizer]
This product helped me reconfigure and organize my kitchen cabinets. I put the plastic storage containers which are lightweight up in my overhead cabinets [in a cardboard box that easily pulls out] and made room for a spice drawer. Although my husband doesn't understand it, it works for me! I can see all my spices with one open drawer instead of spinning various lazy susans and trying to shuffle through bottles to find ones that have slipped to the middle.
Nice quality, easy to clean.I got this rack to organize my spices, but once I loaded it up with my (standard, 4" high) spice jars, I found that it's too tall for my drawers. They have 3.25" of clearance, and the rack with jars in it is 3.75" tall. Other than that issue, it seems well made and easy to clean.

so glad i found this organizer! I don't like to have things on the counter, but installing a special spice drawer was out of the question. now i can have both. the organizer fits in half of my drawer, and i keep my spoons etc in the other half so i have everything i need to cook right there. it's very handy and i like that it keeps clutter out of sight. i would recommend that you check dimensions carefully and make sure you check the height of your spice bottle so that your drawer will close.Read Best Reviews of Madesmart 2 by 15.4 by 6-1/2-Inch Spice Drawer Organizer Here
I bought 2 of these initially and placed them side by side in my kitchen drawer. Loved them so much , I bought another pair that stacks right on top of the two. Definitely require ample and DEEP drawers which is what I have.Very useful and quality is excellent.

As another reviewer may have mentioned, some people might have a problem with the size of the salad forks-they look like children's utensils. The forks don't really bother me and I think they would be great for appetizers.
Overall I think that this is a great set for the price.I was very disappointed in the size disparity of the utensils. The salad forks and teaspoons are very small. There is one "sugar spoon" that is the size of an actual teaspoon. The tablespoons are too large for eating they are more like serving spoons. Also the gold is barely recognizable. The weight is light, but for the price is passable. Since this set is mass produced in China, its okay, but you get what you pay for.

This huge set is definitely a value for the money, and is somewhat heavier than I expected, that's a good thing! The salad forks are actually too small to use for salad, and more the size of an olive fork. Having all the serving pieces is a definite bonus. I was disappointed that the gold plating on the handles is only on the top of the pieces and not the back. But considering that it is a 72 pc. set of pretty stainless for a bargain price, I'm quite satisfied. This set is so much sturdier than I was even dreaming of. Beautiful design. The case was much sturdier than I was expecting and it even comes with combination locks. The salad forks are smaller than most sets come with, but then I have never been a fan of the shape of traditional salad forks. For the price I paid for this set, I am totally pleased. The description is perfect I love it very much. I needed a gold trim flat ware to match my dinner wareZwilling J.A. I bought the meat slicer for a christmas present for my husband and after we both have used it for slicing several different thing's, we both love it. It slice's just as it should, easy to clean and handle. We found the power is good, and is able to slice through meat, cheese, pickles, bread or whatever else you could put in it. We would suggest this product to anyone.Sherry McCoy

When the Kalorik slicer arrived we just happened to have finished cooling a fresh loaf of bread and a smoked corned beef brisket. We set the dial for 1/2" and quickly sliced the loaf into perfectly equal slices in about 3 minutes. We moved on to slice the cold brisket at a 1/16" slice and were absolutely astonished at the speed and uniformity of the slices (not to mention how the thin slice enhanced the smoked flavor of the meat). A few notes...the manual fails to give the specific number of "usage minutes" before allowing the motor to cool. (It directs you to look at the label on the bottom of the slicer which is a little messy if you forgot to look before beginning.) FYI, the maximum usage minutes is 10. Also, another point I missed regards where the sliced food will drop...I fixed a lovely little landing strip in front of the machine...unfortunately, the slices dropped out the back. All in all, a great product for the price.Want Kalorik 200-Watt Electric Meat Slicer with 7.5" Blade, Silver Discount?
Good Product. Good Price. Cleans easier than others since sliding bottom tray also rotates away from blade for access. CAUTION: The documentation does not specify that the screw holind on the blade is a left hand thread. Also the plastic peice behind the blade is hard to keep in place when putting the blade back on. I needed to lay the unit down so the blade could be laid in place horizontaly. The pusher to hold the meat in place is also plastic (I wish it were metal). I would recommend this product.Shun DM0902 Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Classic 8-Inch Chef's Knife

WMF Manaos/Bistro 50-Piece Fall Flatware Set, Service for 8
I bought this as a gift and it looks like I stole them from a restaurant.
A nearly $600 set with NO packaging. Even $20 bargain sets are packaged. Shame.I recently picked up the WMF Manaos/Bistro 50 piece flatware set as part of a lighting deal, and I'm very glad that I did. Included in the set are 8 of the following; soup spoons, tablespoons, teaspoons, dinner forks, salad forks, and butter knives. Also included are two salad serving spoons. The utensils are packed in a plain cardboard box with each piece individually wrapped in plastic.
The Quality of the pieces is very high. They have a nice weight to them, and are well balanced in the hand. The tines on all of the forks are nicely lined up, and the knives have a very sharp non-serated edge. The high polished chrome is bright and brilliant and the pieces all survived multiples runs in the dishwasher without problem.
Design wise the Manaos/Bistro pieces are very simple with little flourish. Indeed, while some may find them a bit plain I appreciated the subtle bevel on the end of the handles and the elegant and smoothly contoured handles that narrow towards the middle.
All in all... an excellent and durable set of elegant flatware.

I just received my WMF Manaos/Bistro 50-Piece Fall Flatware Set, Service for 8. It comes in a simple box but each item is bagged/protected in an individual plastic bag.Having already a WMF set, I became suspicious of the weight and the quality while unpacking. Hitting my "old" knife and the new knife slightly on the counter, sounds were completely different. I noted that the new knifes have no serrate although the knife on the picture seems to have.
I bought also other itens to complete above set, like a second serving spoon, a source ladle, ice cream spoons; all Bistro/Manaos. Most of the pieces are made in Vietnam, others in China. On some items the stamp even says: WMF ...Vietnam. One serving spoon made in China, the other one in Vietnam...and you can see and feel the difference!!!
My opinion: I am quite disappointed! Thought I would get quality made in Germany, like my old set. But for day-to-day, it might be OK; even without the serrate. I will let my wife decide if we return the product to Amazon.

Shun DM0500W 8-Inch Ken Onion Chef's Knife
Buy Shun DM0500W 8-Inch Ken Onion Chef's Knife Now
My wife and I are loyal Shun knife users. That is a disclosure of bias. We were converted to Japanese steel and design via Shun. I had always owned excellent German knives, with their heavier, traditional designs--different--but neither demonstrably better or worse overall than Japanese knives. Clearly both are used by professionals. We simply changed our preference to Shun. My wife has small hands and was less comfortable than I was in terms of the build, weight and balance of our German knives. We both love the simplicity and ease of use of lighter, possibly somewhat sharper, Japanese knives. (That itself is a contentious issue but overgeneralizing is too easy to do). One of her favorites, a combination of Eastern and Western influences, is a Shun DM0707 Classic 10-Inch Chef's Knife. The corresponding traditional German knife is too heavy for her. This is basically about one's personal taste. I do not think it can be otherwise. It might take a trial and error process to find what you like best as it was for us. You probably know what both nations' alternatives offer in their distinct advantages. Sometimes the two traditions are combined like Ken Onions's designs. I will discuss our first Ken Onion designed knife for Shun in this light.Shun knives are costly but we employ them so frequently and truly enjoy using them that they have proven to be good value--to us. We also see them as tools with a job to do. That can be done better or worse according to each individual. Having preferences, even strong presences is not a problem; just find out what works best for you. We try to judge them in both their handling and in food preparation results.
This 8-inch Ken Onion Chef's knife is a very different design both in the handle and blade--radically different--from Shun's Classic and Premier lines as examples. You pay a premium for the difference in his design. Depending upon the specific technique(s) you are used to or were taught, this knife, and how & where you are used to holding and using it, you will likely have a strong opinion about this one. Slicing and dicing with it can be fast and efficient. That is best if you feel comfortable and know how to efficiently direct your force. What is most fundamental for me is that we might differ about just how comfortable or effective it is to hold this knife but it certainly can function well. It should or at least could, offer most of us the control we want. A professional would do wonders with it although that is not a relevant point. We must match as best as possible our own limited level of technique with an array of very fine knives. Unfortunately, ultimately one needs to actually use it. No doubt there is a suggested technique encouraged for this line of knives but that does not guarantee if it will be personally compatible or preferable for you. The single biggest advantage to me is that left handed users can have equal access to this design compared to choosing either of the two versions, left and right, of specialized "D" handle knives available for their regular lines. If your household has both left and right-handed persons in the kitchen this could be a crucial factor.
Initially it took a while to adapt to the Shuns and so it could simply take more time to adapt in reverse to the Ken Onion design. The differences in the handle should be obvious but if you are new to these knives please note the very thick, and prominent bolster on this knife. Compare that to Shun Classic 10-inch Chef's knife which lacks this feature except where it meets the handle. The blade and especially the heel are quite different from Shun's other knives. In practical terms the Ken Onion bolster offers quite a different feel if you usually like to hold that part of the blade. Of course it will have an effect over time when sharpening and at least for me, not a good one. I do not miss a Western bolster when easily sharpening Shun knives at the heel. Of course a prominent bolster like this is clearly a Western convention that you may already use daily. But in the meantime, I prefer the Shun style of knives that I have grown accustomed to already. Since I disclosed from the start that I already chose to leave my German style knives I prefer classic Shun Japanese knives' weight, straight handle and blade. Conversely, if you love German knives but want to try Shun steel, here you have it. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with Ken Onion's design and indeed, he has purposely redesigned his line as a Westerner using this fine steel. The right thing to do would be to report back later if this largely subjective evaluation changes. It is a reasonably well balanced knife with the sharpness I know and appreciate, with the same hard clad steel, just rendered in a different shape with new emphases for Shun. The sculptured forms of wood and metal are relatively thicker and/or more undulating. They combine in delivering something new in appearance and relatively unfamiliar.
Ken Onion knife is yet another example of a variation of Western design using Japanese materials. There is obviously a market. To some this design might offer the best of both traditions. Certainly others have experimented with exactly that both in Japan and Europe many times before with which you can compare. So far, I can mainly appreciate its potential but I do not deny its quality. I deducted one star for my individual, hands on experience.

Cheese Knife/Server with Bamboo Handle (Stainless Steel)
Aside from the excellent price, these are sturdy, reasonably sharp (helped by the serrations on the blade), and are easy to clean. I especially love the handle, which is bamboo, and strong and less porous than other woods.
Regarding the multi-purpose use I mentioned: this knife works beautifully with dry sausages like salami as well as cheese. When I have larger gatherings I will put out a spread of antipasti and aside from Olive Strainer Spoons for olives and Appetizer Tongs these knives are the only serving utensils needed.
Please see my customer-supplied photo at the top of this page for the relative size of this knife. The cheese shown in the photo is a little over a half pound, so that should give you an idea of scale.
If you host parties or have large family meals these are handy to have around. The quality is better than I expected and the functionality is perfect for the uses I described.

I just received the Hamilton Beach can opener a few minutes ago, but this 76606 works as well or better than the old Krups so far.
I'm not sure why this isn't the way all can openers work. I don't see the point of can openers that work the old fashioned way.
The video speaks for itself.I loved my Krups Open Master 404 until it stopped working recently. I found that The Krups, which had NO BLADE that touched the food so as to leave food on the blade as with most canopeners, is no longer made or avaialbe except on ebay. So, I started looking to see what is now available. I tried some other brands. These "other brands" had the typical "blade" that cut into the top of the can and the blade TOUCHED the food inside the can. Thus, food was left ON the blade. To me, after using the Krups for 7 years, this was/is VERY unsanitary---having part of the juice or syrup of the food left to dry out and collect germs on the blade. The only way to avoid having food left on the "cutting blade" of most canopeners is to wash the blade EVERY time you open a can. This isn't difficult, but it takes a minute or two which seems like a lot of effort when you're trying to fix a meal for yourself or your family. Enter the Hamilton Beach 76606. THIS ONE DOES NOT GET ANY FOOD ON ANY BLADE. In fact, I didn't SEE any blade on it that touches the food! So, it's as good, or almost as good, as my old Krups. Praise the Lord! :o) boland7214@aol.

This is undoubtably the best electric can opener ever made. It cuts the lid along the side of the can under the beaded lip. It does a perfect job,it is quiet, and does not leave any metal shavings. It will also cut the lids that have pull ring tabs. This saves your fingers. Everything written about this can opener on this site is true except!I bought the unit after a lot of research and all the positive reviews. And they were all true excellent unit,....until shortly after the one year warranty expired (isn't that always the way.) Went to open a can it whirred, spun around, did all the usual stuff except the can wasn't opened. After a lot of looking and examining, it appeared the piercer/cutter blade was missing apparently broken off (altho I never found any pieces.)
I called Hamilton Beach after checking, the lady said there " were no replaceable parts in the unit." So, I've got a paperweight. I asked her what brand she suggested I buy next time around she said "well, H-B of course." I told her all my previous can openers had lasted 20 years or more and I replaced them just because I got sick of them. I didn't think one year's service with no way to replace the cutter was acceptable, so, despite my admiration of the unit, I'd have to look elsewhere.
Using an estimate of cans opened and the purchase price, I calculate the cost to open each can came out to more than 10 cents/can!

I favored the results of my research prior to purchase. After receiving it, I was impressed with the size & weight. It's easy on the eyes and I like the way it operates. Since I use a lot less in the way of canned goods than most people I know, I didn't actually try it out for several days. Once I did, my reaction was "wow!". I do believe I have the best can opener *ever*. If this unit holds up well over a protracted period of time, I'll remain a 'happy camper'. Now, for the reason I only gave it 4 stars i/o 5. Upon opening perhaps the 3rd or 4th can, I noticed something *very* disturbing. As I removed the lid, I spotted a very thin strand of metal (about 1-1/4 inches long) jutting out from the top of the can (perpendicular from the body of the can).Promply removing it, I could only think that had it fallen *into* the contents of the can I might have ingested it! To better illustrate, I *could* have proceeded to empty the contents into a bowl or saucepan and had that metal fall off in the process. Hopefully, this won't happen again....but....anyone buying this can opener *should* be aware of the possibility & be vigilant in it's use. At this time, I really think this *is* the best one on the market and I'm darned glad to have it. Hope this helps anyone considering the purchase.

I am a bit of a tool nut, and I own German Wusthoff, French Sabatier and Calphalon knives made with German steel. They are fine knives, but let's face it, they can't do anything the good grips knife can't. Yes, a bit more weight comes in handy when you're doing serious chopping for hours on end, but I try to avoid that. I also favor a 10" cooks knife, but most opt for the 8" model. This is an ideal primary knife for a new cook who is ready to go, but too smart to drop a bundle on a brand name.

This is a great knife good balance, good feel in the hand (the grip is excellent). It is an outstanding value for the price. But, like all good knives, you MUST take care of it to maintain sharpness. Clean and dry it (by hand) immediately after each use. Don't even THINK about putting it in the dishwasher. It is preferable to use it on a softer cutting surface (like wood).
Take care of this knife and it will take care of you. It will hold a sharp edge without frequent sharpening.

I bought the "block set", but I use this knife way more than any of the others. I has great balance, stays sharp, and feels great in my hand. I Never put it in the dishwasher (no quality knife should ever go in the dishwaher). I frequently put a few strokes on the round steel that came with the block, and it's back to razor sharp. After 2 years of use, I can't see any reason to spend more on a more expensive brand, which is why I'm buying another one for my mother-in-law.
Brooklyn Bagel Slicer, White
This device is very bulky and clumsy. Yes it handles big bagels, but at the cost of being hard to use. Also because it's so big, young hands (and even grownup hands) have PLENTY of room to contact the very sharp blade should anything ever slip.
The sharp blade is protected but the only way the slider works is to hold the other end in your hand and cut DIRECTLY toward your hand. A very BAD idea to teach the kids and very disconcerting.
Plus, depending on the bagel, your hand gets very messy. Was hoping I could put the bagel on a plate or napkin and slice, but it needs to be held more firmly because of the clumsiness of this slicer. My wife and I have been using the Brooklyn Bagel Slicer for about a year.
It always gives an easy and clean slice and makes it unnecessary for us to worry about cutting ourselves. It's easy to use, it's safe and it WORKS.

We love the safety feature on this tool. Years ago, our daughter cut herself while slicing a bagel and was rushed to the hospital for stitches. This would never happen with the Brooklyn Bagel Slicer. It's a particularly handy tool, too, when slicing wider bagels and rolls.
Definitely a five-star tool.I am an avid bagel lover, so I was thrilled when I found out about the Brooklyn bagel slicer. I have used it for about a year now and couldn't be more happy with the product. Never once have I cut myself while using the Brooklyn bagel slicer. It cut the bagel perfect every time.
