LamsonSharp 2.5" x 2.5" Server/Turner

LamsonSharp 2.5' x 2.5' Server/TurnerI've used this spatula for almost a year now, and it's still as good as new. I use it in cast iron skillets, so the edge gets a good workout scraping the skillets before I brush-clean them. Edge remains sharp; the handle is solid and intact. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.

Be careful about damaging your pans with this one and the shape is very awkward unfortunately. I would pass on this.

I have a set of LamsonSharp forged steel knives and love them for the sharpness, quality, and balance. This LamsonSharp spatula is also high quality and is the spatula we use the most. The edge is thin enough to get under even the most delicate food and the width is great for nearly everything. It is easy to clean and has a good weight to it, definitely not flimsy. Highly recommend!

Cutlery Roll 7-slot

Cutlery Roll 7-slotI bought this based on other rolls I've seen and read reviews on, and it is what one would expect. Cut / tear resistant, thick and durable nylon material, a flap that comes down over your cutlery and two velcro straps to keep it rolled up nicely. Good purchase for the price.

Joseph Joseph Cooking Gift Set, Eggplant

Joseph Joseph Cooking Gift Set, EggplantThese are great! I am very happy with them. The tongs alone are worth the money. They worked so much better than the old metal tongs without scratching my coated pans and the little 'stand' kept my counter clean. The streamer basket is heavier yet much more flexible and sturdier than flimsy metal baskets. The scoop colander is great for scooping vegetables out of a crockpot so you can thicken the broth, do much better than trying to spoon them out, leaving all the juices in the pot.

Wavy Vegetabl Slicer

Wavy Vegetabl SlicerVery time consuming because of its style. Difficult to cut even thicknesses for pickles. Would not recommend this slicer. Might be ok for small slicing tasks.

sturdy with a good grip--BUT it has a very "shallow" wave. Not really a crinkle cut. I bought another with a deeper wave

Nice little vegetable slicer, but alot smaller than expected. . .

Will see if it will keep its sharpness, as stainless usually doesnt keep a sharp edge.

Strong tool for slicing. I use it to slice brick cheese, and there's no other way I would try. It gives you the best leverage and control.

Does what it promises but metal in slicer may not last too long before it will show signs of wear and stop making a sharp cut.

Oneida Michelangelo 3-Piece Serving Set

Oneida Michelangelo 3-Piece Serving SetI have been wanting a serving fork to match my flatware for years and I'm SO excited to have ALL 3 pieces! I have had a solid serving spoon for years but not the slotted spoon. They are very good quality and match my 23 year old flatware! I am SO thrilled to have found a website that will ship FREE!! (I have Prime but this website is not available) I will be adding to my collection now that I've found someone who will even ship individual pieces if needed.

Got this at my bridal shower and I love it! It's classy without being silver so I feel I can be classy all the time. And I really needed these items. You can see some seams where the pieces are attached, but I don't mind. Totally recommend these!

Wallace Hotel 77-Piece Flatware Set

Wallace Hotel 77-Piece Flatware SetI guess my review is just the opposite of another reviewer's. I've been looking for a new set of stainless to replace my 25-year-old Yamazaki, which has disappeared piece by piece as my family grew up. I'm disappointed at the decline in quality of most stainless I've seen on the market now, probably the inevitable consequence of increases in metal costs and out-sourcing manufacturing. Many of the venerable producers seem to be making flimsier sets now. I think the photos of this set were of the original pieces this set was modeled upon, or were photo-enhanced. The patterns are the same as the photo, but were obviously stamped into the sheets of stainless, versus casting, resulting in pieces that seem flat and "soft-focus"---lacking in depth and clarity of details. Some of the bowls on the spoons are a bit rough on the edges, and the reverse of the knife blade is boldly stamped "Wallace--China". That said, the weight is reasonably heavy and the concept of the pattern a winner. It's definitely better quality than the emergency pieces I picked up at the big-box store last Christmas Eve! I will probably keep the set for that purpose--backup stainless for large gatherings. I guess I was spoiled by that original wedding stainless 25 years ago, but at this price-point (about $12 per place setting) one certainly can't complain. However, I do like nice stainless, as it is something used frequently every day. I'll keep looking for my next set of durable, hefty everyday stainless to last my next 25 years!

I bought this service for 12 to prepare for hosting Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank Goodness I bought ahead of time or it would be a late dash to the store.

The design on this set is beautiful. Simply gorgeous. The problem comes in with the knife. The knife's handle is rather large but extremely light. So light that it is obvious that the metal is around some hollow plastic of some sort. The knives in my set also has some black markings in the creases of the design...like it was tarnished or had some left over plastic from a mold of some sort. Either way it looked crappy and felt really cheap.

I had to return the set, sadly. I really liked the way they looked.

Some reviews said that this set was cheaply made or looked tarnished but nothing could be farther from the truth. Very heavy, sturdy flatware and so beautiful. I highly recommend this item.

I bought these to have something a little different than the usual. These are beautiful and very interesting pieces. Included in the packing is a brief description of the hotels design. Everyone who has seen them just love them as well, great conversational dinner ware.

This was a set I picked out for a wedding present! I really enjoy the different patterns on each piece.I love the quality and durability of the set and it looks beautiful displayed in the special box I purchased as well! The pieces were each individually wrapped for protection, however the serving fork and a spoon were scratched up pretty bad on the front. I think for the price and beauty this set is a great deal!!!

Mercer Cutlery Renaissance 8" Chef's Knife

Mercer Cutlery Renaissance 8' Chef's KnifeI've used Mercer Cutlery for over 7 years now and their product seems to get better. These knives are probably the best valued knife in the market. They hold their edge relatively well with proper honing on the steel on everyday use. If you're looking for an intermediate priced knife at home or a knock around at work this knife fills both.

Got it following a recommendation of a chef from my cooking class, and I am completely satisfied.

Very nice balance, good length (I am 5'1" tall), and I love the fact that it can be sharpened all the way through the blade (no dull edge near the handle).

Having said that, I did not have to sharpen it yet, so have no comments on the sharpening process.

This has become my favorite veggie dicer and meat slicer. I've sharpened it once since I got it (after about 6 weeks, using a ceramic sharpener) and the new edge brought it back to out of the box condition.

There are larger knives on the market, but I prefer 8 inch ones because they are easier to clean and are nicer to handle. I am a male with average sized hands -I think 10 inch chef's knives are too big.

Mercer knives are used by many student chefs. I am sure there are better (and much pricier) knives out there. I started reading knife discussion forums and after a point I realized there are knife snobs just like for other products, and a lot of the discussion is ego-driven hooey. But coming from a house husband who cooks for a family of five, this is the finest knife I've had so far. So if you are considering Henckels, Wusthof or other big store high quality brands, you might want to test a Mercer against them. (Don't price compare this to Henckel's budget International knives, but to one of their better knives.)
