The blades are not that sharp either, so mostly dull soft veggies are easily cut with this. Such veggies include carrots, potatoes, celery, squash. It does not work well at all for ginger, beets, turnips, butternut squash, summer squash or any other harder veggies.

I bought this to make my carrots a little more interesting, and found that I'm either really easily fascinated, or this thing's got more uses than you can shake a stick at. It's probably a little of both.I've found that it works wonders on cucumbers, waffle-cut fries, zucchini; literally any hard veggie I throw at it shines. However, it works its magic on many, many more things. I've had luck with hard boiled eggs (cool them well first!), fudge, tofu(!), sheet cake slices, the list is almost endless. So many things to use this little guy on, you're only limited by your imagination.
