Furi FUR626 Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener
My wife was given an expensive Furi knife as a gift. I didn't want this to be relegated to the bottom of the kitchen odd-and-ends drawer because I couldn't sharpen it properly. I have (or had) number of different sharpeners, all useless or difficult to use: tungsten carbide pull-through, traditional steel, can-opener &c. So I got the Ozitech because it's Furi's own sharpener. It's brilliant and easy to use. Not only does it keep the Furi in good shape it did a terrific sharpening job on a lot of other knives I haven't used for years. A quality Victorinox boning knife is now razor-sharp and a pleasure to use. I resurrected a couple of cheap-and-nasty stainless steel Chinese knifes even they are now useable. We tried the tomato test with the cheap carving knife just pressed it flat. Ten strokes through the Ozitech and it slices it neatly and easily, and I went to on to carve the roast lamb with it later that evening. It might not hold an edge but with the Ozitech it's quickly restored with 3 or 4 strokes.
The Ozitech isn't in the bottom drawer. It sits next to the knife block on the bench ready to be used when required.Tried this on my favorite but often dull chefs knife and after 4-6 strokes was very very sharp. Works great as promised. casing cheap so not sure how long that will last or if it will hamper it's operation. compact, stores well, would be great for motor home or other small kitchen. For $29, makes me wonder what the $99 version does that Amazon also carries. knocked a star off for the cheap plastic case.

Easy to use and it works as advertised.I had one really dull knife and I did 6 swipes through the thing as suggested. Didn't do much. I thought the gizmo might not be any good or at least not up to this particular task . Another 10 swipes and this knife is sharp as the deuce.
I'm pleased. Beats trying to get the angle right on a steel or living with dull knives.
You can see the diamond pieces and really feel them sharpening as you pull the knife through the fingers. An ingenious device.
They give you ample warning, but be careful opening the thing. It's plastic and you can break it in an instant if you try to force it the wrong way.

I bought this knife sharpener because I was tired of knives that would not cut & the vender I brought it from, The Handy House, told me that it worked and I had bought things from her before on her word. And it works. My knifes are old & dull. This sharpener is a God-send. Trying to sharpen knives is always a pain. There is a real art to doing that and I am definitely challenged in that respect. Using a stone is really hard to learn but just pop this open and away you go!The only issue I have is the cheapie clips on the side that you have to pop open to open the pack. Why use such flimsy plastic that will eventually crack instead of some sort of a hinge?

Great sharpener for the price. Easier to use and store than a lot of other tools that claim to sharpen knives and scissors.I have an avid knife guru for a husband. This sharpener is very lightweight and compact which is great for camping or a survival situation. Due to the fact that its made of light plastic I'm not sure it is that durable. If you want to sharpen a cheap knife or folding knife, then this is the perfect product and it does really work on serrated knives. What they don't tell you is that it shaves the blades to a sharp edge and this is not good for expensive kitchen knives. For the high end knives your better off using a stone or sending them in to be sharpened by a professional sharpener.

Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4
I already had a service for 8 in the Oneida Flight pattern. I needed more. While I was washing my new silverware, I was disappointed to find that the quality is not the same as my original pieces. I checked and Oneida no longer makes their product in the United States. OK, I accept that. What bothers me more is the quality is not nearly the same. Especially, with the knives the weight and even the design is different. If you did not own any of the Flight pattern previously, you might be satisfied. I am not.I've owned this flatware for four years and have not been happy with the quality. All but the knives are thin guage metal. In fact, I've had to tell my children not to use the spoons for hard ice cream cups because they were bending. The surface has held up OK, with the exception of some minor marks from dishwasher detergents. I expected a better product from Oneida.Buy Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4 Now
I forgot that I had put them on my wedding registry! So when I received a set of these as a wedding gift, I was pleasantly surprised. They have held up great throughout the years and I still absolutely love the simple, but elegant pattern to them. The butter knives are a good weight making them comfortable to use, I just wish they (the knives) didn't take up so much room in the silverware tray/drawer.Read Best Reviews of Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4 Here
My husband and I registered for the Oneida flight pattern. We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. I'm very happy with the weight of the product. Forks never bend, spoons only do a tad when I try to pry really really hard ice cream out of the container.. but I should really be using an ice cream dipper and not a spoon... so that's my fault. Showing a little wear... but I consider their wear perfectly acceptable. I am purchasing the Flight pattern for my inalws for Christmas.Want Oneida Flight 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4 Discount?
I had this set already and was ordering an additional set to add too it. The knives are thinner and all the items had a big fat made in china stamped on it. I was very disappointed with it. They don't feel like as good of quality as my original set direct from Oneida. I would recommend ordering direct from the company because if you order here, you are not getting the same quality. I'm sure nobody else would notice the difference but me, however, it is really upsetting to know I could have gotten flatware that matched exactly what I already owned.TWO IN ONE KNIFE SHARPENER

Schmidt Brothers Cutlery, STICH08, Titan 8 Inch Chef Knife
I bought this knife as a gift for my father (he was aprofessional chef for 25 years and he uses his kitchen knives every day). When the knife arrived I opened the package to check it out. After a few passes on my steel this knife was razor sharp and it handled beautifully during a quick "test-drive" in my kitchen. My father isn't overly critical, but I had to make sure that his was a quality knife before I gave it to him because I didn't want him to be stuck using a knife he didn't like out of a feeling of obligation. I couldn't be happier. After one week of use my father said he really likes the way the knife handles (well balanced), and he was pleased that it is a relatively light knife for its size. He also has minor issues with arthritis in his hands, and he finds the cushioned grip more comfortable than the hard handles on most knives.I realize that there are prople that prefer heavier knives, thicker handles, etc.(like me, for instance), but I found the quality and function of this knife to well surpass its cost. For a very reasonable price Schmidt Brothers Cutlery has produced a great knife. Of course, time will tell if this knife will retian a good edge and keep performing so well, but I am confident that the high carbon steel core and titanium coating of the blade should do just fine in this regard.
Five stars all the way.I am one of those home chef types that is satisfied with most of his tools, but this knife makes me grin ear to ear. It is lightweight, feels somewhat heavy in the handle but has been a workhorse prepping everything (it is used every day). Out of the "hanging package" it is very sharp (as anything claiming to be a knife should be), the soft grip handle is great (though the packaging cord left a permanent dimple in the handle) for wetwork. It will look a little discolored until you wash it before use (don't freak out!). Staying sharp (yes it is), looking sharp (great design, should help those lacking in the "skills" dept.). Awesome value and a excellent step up to quality cutlery for most home users.

In starting a new venture in the culinary world, I wanted to have my own knife. Schmidt Brothers was recommended to me by some people who are career cooks/chefs and so it was one of the first names I looked for. I saw this stylish black knife and was immediately drawn to it. What a great decision it was to purchase it two months ago. I am very happy with the comfort and feel of it in my hand. It's also holding it's edge extremely well. I've used steel on it only a few times because I've only needed to do it a few times. My co workers in the kitchen also told me that they really like it as well. Very Happy!Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware Sets
I have had the 10 piece set for a little over a month now, and I can honestly say I love it! And let me tell you, I cook ALL the time 7 days a week, and at least 2-3 meals a day. So figure I have used these pots/pans at least 60 times by now. I have cooked everything from rice to steaks to vegetables, soups, pastas, sauces, and even things as delicate as eggs! The bottom heats very evenly, and quickly, and the handles DO NOT get hot, which was very surprising for me. Before I purchased, I was willing to accept the fact that I was more than likely going to have to deal with hot handles, as is the case with most stainless steel cookware, but with these I was pleasantly surprised. Even after being on the stove over high heat for a long period of time, the handles are still cool! But that is not to be confused with the handles on the lids I find that the handles on the lids may become very warm after prolonged exposure to heat, but that it is generally to be expected if lid handles are not rubber coated, but that doesn't bother me in the least. To me, the weight of each individual piece of cookware is just perfect heavy enough to feel sturdy and durable, but light enough for me to comfortably lift and move them with one hand while cooking (assuming I don't have something heavy in them). That is something that was very important when considering cookware. I know a lot of people say "the heavier, the better, because that means it is better quality"...but seriously, I don't want to have to use 2 hands and develop forearms like Popeye just to lift a pan from one burner to another. Yeah, I need something durable and practical, and this set is it for me.
To the person saying that the lids do not fit correctly, I have had no problems with rice(or steaming vegetables and such)cooking properly. From my experience, the lids keep the moisture in very well.
And to anyone who has never owned a stainless steel cookware set, and is hesitating because of the "NOT non-stick" factor here is a tip that converted me to stainless steel forever heat the SS pan directly on the burner, and get it nice and hot to the point where if you put a drop or two of water directly in the pan, it will bead up and dance and glide around bottom. When it gets to that point, remove from the heat source, (or you can turn down the heat while it is still on the burner, but it will take longer), and let it cool off slightly enough to where it wouldn't burn butter if you added it. Return back to the burner and turn heat down to medium(more or less, depending upon what you are cooking), add your butter/oil, and whatever you are cooking, and Voila! non-stick! It has to do with getting the pan getting so hot that the heat causes the metal to microscopically expand and fills up the tiny pores in the steel that food would normally sink into while cooking (sticking). But then you have to to turn it down to your actual cooking temp so things do not burn, and while doing so, the steel will remain expanded until the pan is completely cooled. That is advice passed on from experienced, professional chefs.
Anyway, overall, this set is beautiful, functional, and of great quality. Even "if" this set wears out in 10 to 30+ years down the road, I will definitely be buying another one. There are no words to describe how pleased I am with my new cookware. It is so much fun to cook again now that I have purchased this set!
Prior to my purchase, I did a lot of research on cookware to make the best choice for my cooking needs and my budget. I definitely made the right choice by purchasing this set.
So far, the performance of this cookware has been outstanding. Heating and boiling are much quicker than with my previous non-stick set (Calphalon), and the cooking is much more even.
My favorite part about this set is that there are pour spouts on some of the pans, and measurement markings inside of them as well. A couple of the lids have strainers, so if you are cooking something that needs to be drained (like pasta or vegetables), it's a one-pot job.
Even though this cookware claims to be oven-safe up to 550 degrees (lids to 350), I have not yet put any of the pans in the oven. Obviously, handles will be too hot without using oven mitts if you are going to cook in the oven, but as far as stovetop cooking goes, my experience has been that the handles remain cool to the touch.
I have seen a couple of negative reviews (on other websites) about some of the pots melting. There is a care sheet that comes with the cookware explaining that the pans can melt IF you place an empty pot on a hot stove for an extended period of time. There are plenty of other helpful tips included on the care sheet. In order to get the most out of your Emerilware, I suggest you read the instructions carefully. They are included for a reason.
I am also very pleased that this cookware comes with a lifetime warranty, and All-Clad will repair or replace defective cookware (excluding damage from misuse or abuse).
This cookware is prone to water spots when running them through the dishwasher, but the spots are easily removed by using a soft cloth and some Bar Keeper's Friend. That stuff is incredible. Get some after you purchase your Emerilware.
Get this cookware it's awesome. You won't regret it.

Emerilware Stainless 10-Piece Cookware SetI have had a set of Emerilware for some time and loved it. I ordered the 10 piece set to get additional pieces to use. The style has changed and the lids do not fit well. The lids are loose fitting and allow too much steam to escape during cooking. The pour spouts with the holes in the lids seems like a good idea, but it allows food to pour out as well as excess liquid. Do not like the new handles and the new style is much lighter weight. Just not happy with the new style cookware.

I think this set is great for the price!I switched from a set of Circulon pots and pans that I'd worn out over the last 10 years and decided to give the stainless steel a try. These pots and pans are great. They have weight to them and they hold heat very well. Frankly, I don't turn them up past medium, since they conduct the heat so well.
The glass tops are great. I don't have to take the lid off to check my food.
They're also not that hard to clean with the proper powder cleaner.
As for cooking eggs in the pans, I have successfully with butter to coat the pan and low heat. I'll probably still go with the non-stick fry pan I keep around though, it's a bit easier.
Can you find better pots and pans? Probably, but they'll cost you a lot more. So unless your a pro, or a pro wannabe these will do you good for a long time.

This was my first set of SS cook wear after years of cheap non-stick pots and pans from different manufacturers and I'm sorry I waited so long. The saucepan, as well as both fry pans, require far less heat to get the job done. The "brown bits" left after cooking fish, chicken or steak allow me to make a flavorful sauce with these dishes I could never do with non-stick.
Clean-up is easy and the pans look brand new after a wash and some Bar Keepers Friend. The bottoms of the pans heat evenly and I haven't had any "hot spots" on the cooking surface that would cause problems with my old set.
I've had to experiment a little with the correct heats to keep fish from sticking. Once I learned where I needed to be, sticking no longer was an issue.
The saucepan has a pouring lip and the glass lid has holes in the rim to allow for straining of pasta after cooking which eliminates the need to use (and dirty) a strainer. I've gone from stove top to oven with fish and steak and had terrific results. I've only had one instance where I forgot to use an oven mitt for the handle that was enough to help me remember next time.
Another nice little feature is liquid measurements etched into the inside wall of the saucepans so if your recipe requires a certain amount of liquid, you can just measure with the pot instead of dirtying a measuring cup.
Overall, I have found nothing to complain about and find myself cooking more than ever just to use the set. I wish I had bought them years ago.
WMF Profi Plus Lid Gripper
I received this gripper about six months ago and have been very happy with it's performance. It can close up enough on small caps (such as soda bottles)that it will hold tight while I open them. It expands to a large enough diameter to open tops on large jars, as well. It provides good leverage, making the opening of jars much easier for me, since I have arthritis in my thumbs and have trouble gripping anything. It's only drawback is it doesn't work so well on some odd things: I can't use it to get off the bottom of the blender container if it's screwed on too tight, for example. I'm not sure it was meant for that sort of work, anyway! But for all-purpose, kitchen jar and bottle opening, it's a great gadget. My mother and myself we always won the jar opening competitions in our family. My three very strong brothers have been useless! Sure enough, we both had our tricks. But some years ago I had to realize that my mother could not open jars anymore. The strength in her hands had been gone. I found the jar opener for her and she loves to work with it. She had been so impressed that I bought one for myself too. And I can say too that it is a very helpful tool. The opener is easily adjustable and holds the jar tightly for the opening of the jar. No spilling, no mess, just useful.Buy WMF Profi Plus Lid Gripper Now
I got this as a gift and thought that it would collect dust in my junk drawer. Not so! This is an AMAZING product. I can open ANY Jar without banging it with a knife or runnig water on it. Pasta jar, olive jar, hearts of palms, and even twist off beer bottles. I am no longer waiting for my husband to come home or breaking the jar to get the goodies out. It makes it a breeze to open stuff up! This is one gadget that everyone needs! The quality is much better than expected. Finally no more struggling with difficult lids. It works on small beverage caps to wide jar lids. Wish I had heard of it sooner. This is worth the price! If your only problem in opening jars is getting your fingers gripped around the lid, and you have the arm strength to hold the jar still and pull on this opener's handle, then this is the product for you. If, however, you're someone who just does not have hand or arm strength, period, then the WMF Profi Plus Lid Gripper will not help you.Wusthof Classic 4-Inch Boning Knife (4601-10cm)

Though it is a small 4 inch blade, the handle is sized like a 6 inch knife so it is easy to grasp when your hands are wet or slippery. It easily cuts up a chicken. It's good for cutting peppers and cleaning the seeds from the insides. It's good for things that you're not going to do on a cutting board and makes a pretty good steak knife at the table too!Arrives incredibly sharp...wasn't careful and cut myself. Got this to use in place of the plastic utensils at work. It's on the heavy side but I have no issues with that. The edges aren't really sharp but they are VERY sturdy and have sort of a pointed edge so it does cut through many items better than you would expect. My wife laughed at the need to buy a Knork but I like it. It's also shaped so it works very well scooping ice cream. Professional Flexible Fruit & Vegetable Carving Knife
Its a very delicate knife but works like magic..!!! perfect for making delicate rose petals. Must take a good care of the blade as it can bend easily.Seller shipped the item fast, which is the only good thing about them. Knife looked great in the picture but did not perform well. The handle is very low quality and the pattern around it started peeling after the first use it. I used this knife to carve a red bell pepper and after that, the blade turned dull, black and spotted (see picture in the product page). I called the seller and explained what had happened. I had a very rude customer service rep who said that I was lying and the only way for that to happen to the blade was that I burnt it with a lighter. Are you serious?! I asked for the lady's name and she refused to give it to me, when I asked her why could she not tell me her name she said "you do not need to know my name, when you call us next time you won't be talking to me anyway since we have a lot different of reps".Seller would not give a refund nor send a replacement. Why would anyone burn their knives? It just makes no sense. I have bought way cheaper knives that lasted longer than this one. I Hope that in the future the seller upgrades the quality of these knives and their customer service. It's not even about money at this point, it's about customer service and standing behind what you sell/advertise. If the seller had stated in the description "crap knife made with low quality materials" then I wouldn't be complaining. Stay away from these knives and seller and save yourself some money and time. Cuts raw potatoes very well too.

Bambu Bamdino 5-1/2-Inch Kids Knife, Fork and Spoon, Set of 3
My 15 month old mainly uses just the spoon right now, but all 3 pieces are well crafted and sturdy. I do not find the fork tines to be overly sharp, unlike another reviewer. My daughter bangs on everything with the spoon and it goes through the dishwasher daily with no problems. A benefit I did not expect is that the texture of the wood helps keep food on the spoon, instead of slipping off halfway between the bowl and her mouth and landing in her lap. I'm very pleased with this set.Our family has been inspired to reduce our children's exposure to plastic by Beth Terry and others that concern themselves a material that lasts forever in the environment, yet it is readily used for single-use items, despite the health issues it causes for people and the world we live in. Most baby and toddler flatware and dishware come in plastic, exposing them to endocrine disruptors, carcinogenics and still undiscovered risks. This bamboo set is a nice alternative for our 2 year olds. Plus, like their glass LifeFactory bottles and their stainless steal Sugarbooger cups, they are cuter than all get out. So our babes can enjoy non-toxic meals while being fashionably cute.

They have stood up to 2 1/2 years of use by our son and now our daughter. I do put them in the dishwasher and they have held up to that wonderfully. They do not have any kind of food stains on them at all like you get with the plastic utensils. They are also very safe for little ones. Even the knife is very safe. It won't cut little fingers, but my son has no trouble cutting his toaster waffles with it. Our daughter much prefers to use the regular utensils at the table, but we got these for her anyway so she could have a knife to use. She wasn't very into them but they are still great and durable. I like to stick my bamboo stuff in the dishwasher (even though I know I shouldn't) and these endure that well. We'll probably start the youngest on them once eating age is reached.Tojiro DP Series 27 cm. Sujibiki
The Tojiro DP line is a great value-priced line for people looking for a good quality steel knife. The Sujihikis and long pettys in this line are pretty thick behind the edge. The spine of the Suji is no thinner than the spine of a Tojiro DP gyuto. These have a convex grind, and the area just behind the edge is pretty fat. You'll feel this geometry if you're using this as a long petty and trying to slice firmer vegetables.I spent two hours thinning down the entire blade from spine to edge. Now it's a real performer! If you're proficient at knife sharpening and you're willing to work on the blade geometry, this knife can be a real bargain.
My only complaint after blade-thinning is the handle-biased weight balance because of the large clunky handle.Yes we love this product my husband thought it was a very GOOD gift. My Chef is HAPPY!!! Will purchase the entire line if I could.
