I bought this knife for my son as a gift. He is in the restaurant industry so great knives are a must with him. This was the last knife he needed to complete his set so he is a believer in this brand. I have a couple myself and find the grip comfortable and the weight is perfect. Compared to my Department store Calphalons, these are hold an edge and sharpen much better.
This flatware has a nice feel and a heavier weight than others in this price range. I like the graceful way it fits the hand without any pointy edges or awkward curlicues . While the style is traditional it would look good on almost any table.

It is a large version of swiss army knife and it slice through potato like hot knife though butter. Potato sticks to it like swiss army knife too. You could cut yourself trying to remove potato stuck on both sides of the blade if you are not careful. You probably need a hollow edge to prevent food from sticking to the blade. But food seems to stick to this one stronger than other solid blade knives I have used, probably because the blades are so well polished, like swiss army knife. It's also so light, it's like cooking with a razor blade. I'm planning to get a forged hollow edge santoku to compliment this set.

I love this pie plate! So far I have made fruit pies and meat pies in it without pie weights and have gotten a perfectly golden, flaky crust (unlike those pesky disposable tins that give you uncooked spots!). I like that I can, in theory, press down on the uncooked crust on the edge for a decorative rim but found that it doesn't really give it a magazine-worthy look just by using the "easy edge". I have put this in the fridge before without a problem and assume that it is dishwasher safealthough I choose to handwash it. Great quality, inexpensive stoneware!
I was expecting a nice sharp knife from all the reviews I read but I was so surprised at just how much I use it. I rarely get another knife out anymore as I leave this knife handy for immediate use. I cut all my veggies, cheese plus bread with it. I cannot be happier!

When I first saw this item, it made me wonder.... Does bamboo grow in Germany? I am not sure if it does?? I can say that this Henckels bamboo knife block is of excellent quality, good design, well-made, and has good features. Additionally, since it is made of bamboo, it has a smaller carbon footprint, or sustainability. These are somewhat obtuse words to indicate that bamboo, in comparison to traditional wood knife block materials, grows quicker, and can be harvested with less environmental impact than our diminishing world supplies of wood, since bamboo is a grass, not a tree. This is expensive and doesn't have slots for steak knives. I got a more useful one that does and at half the price at a local department store.
I purchased a set of Cutco Knives more than 50 years ago and we are still using them. All have survived the 50 years except the steak knives all of which have lost their handles due to 50 years of daily use and abuse in the dishwasher.
One of my Marine veteran friends lost his right hand, and when he and his wife visited this summer, he showed me this knife when I took them out for steak. While he re-iterated the knife's virtues, which are listed in the description, his wife seemed just as happy that she didn't have to cut his steak, that it fit in any purse or pocket and that it was easily cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher.
While I ordered these for their aesthetic and practically to avoid wood handles for instance NONE of these cheese knives have any sharp edge!

I bought this based on other rolls I've seen and read reviews on, and it is what one would expect. Cut / tear resistant, thick and durable nylon material, a flap that comes down over your cutlery and two velcro straps to keep it rolled up nicely. Good purchase for the price.
I debated between a modestly priced serrated edge knife and a much more expensive one (Wusthoff, Henckel). Apparently serrated knives are hard to sharpen and usually need to be sent back to the factory. I opted for this less expensive knife, after some research, with plans to simpy replace it when and if it loses it's keen edge. It cuts bread and vegetables very well; we are quite satisfied with it. After only a month or two of ownership we can't comment on the longevity of the edge, but other's reviews suggest it holds up well.
Purchased this set with uncertainties due to not being able to find a review on many sites that carried them. Thus far I have been very pleased with them. The knives are extremely sturdy, and do not have a cheap feel to them at all. Sharpness out of the box is pretty good, and I haven't had any issues cutting through anything thus far, and I use them quite regular. The block they come in with is very nice, and doesn't take up too much counter space. Been using them a few months now and no issues with rust. Of course you don't want to wash these in the dishwasher, hand wash only. I pretty much wash them as soon as done, and throw them into the basket to dry.

Great set of cheese knives. Really nice quality, very sturdy. Presentation in box was very nice and a great storage piece. They were a great size not too small. I have gotten some in the past that have been a lot smaller than what I would have liked.
