I have used this product for twenty years.It is as good an oil as a person can buy. The oil doesn't run off the stone. It is also good for cleaning the grit from your sharpening stone(s).I would recommend it to anyone.

Nambe Cheese Block with Knife and Spreader
This item is an amazing work of art. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is large enough for a couple of wedges of my favorite cheese (St. Andre) with crackers and grapes. The wood is very heavy and beautiful. The serving knife and spreader are magnetized to stay in place. They are stainless steel but gleam like silver. I keep this out on my antique bar cart because I love to look at it :) This would make a memorable wedding gift.
I wasn't sure when I first looked at the knife and spreader if they would be practical or just decorative but they work fine. The magnets securely hold them in place so there is no problems finding them when you get the block out each time.

Totally Bamboo Molokini Thin Cutting Board
i bought this for picnics. i wanted a lightweight mini board that wasn't plastic. all the wood ones i found were too heavy. this one is absolutely perfect for what i need. it does get a little hairy on the surface which seems typical of bamboo, but you only need to oil it and it's fine.

Wish I would have read the reviews, but it was one of those lighting deals and well... you know how those work. I got a blue knife set with one green knife. Not exactly a rainbow of colors. I was ordering this for my mom for christmas and she still wanted to keep it, because I got it for her, so I won't be returning it even though I'd like to. I'm so mad I'm leaving my prepositions hanging!

I just got these knives yesterday, so I can't really comment on the quality, but I'm so sad that I got four black handles and only 3 color ones, definitely not as pictured. I used the Santoku this morning, very nice and sharp, cut wonderfully. Just sad about not getting the colors pictured. They appear to be a pretty nice set. The slot where the sharpening steel goes is a little large and could be smaller to help keep the steel from bumping into one of the other larger knife handles. But over all it appears to be really nice, has a fairly nice balance to them. Wusthof Silverpoint II 4-Piece Steak Knife Set
I did a lot of research on the popular, better knife brands before buying. I was torn between the two most well known: Wusthof and Henkels. I saw a lot of reviews regarding Henkels about them not lasting long or living up to expectations. According to Wusthof's website, all their knives have the same blades in them, in all their knife lines. Perhaps I misunderstood their descriptions, but this is the meaning I took away from their own website. That being said, the only difference between their cheaper and most expensive (Classic) lines is the handle. I purchased a set of the Classic line for cutting and chopping. They are definitely superior to these steak knives. However, since I am using the steak knives only for dining and not every day, these are more than adequate.The blades are very sharp and cut easily through all meats. The only thing I can really say isn't perfect, are the handles. They could be better quality. I personally felt, for the amount of use I get from the knives, the handle quality vs. price is worth it. You can spend $100 on a set of Classic line steak knives that you use twice a week, but I think most people would be highly satisfied with this set.
As others have mentioned, nicer blades like these should be treated a little bit differently. Do not put these into dishwashers. They will bang around and become dull, quickly. The heat will also damage the handles. Hand wash and towel dry immediately after use. The steel will rust quickly, otherwise. These are great knives, and they need exceptional care to last.
We're not disappointed. They are extremely sharp and cut through steak like butter. The handles match the Grand Prix II handles, so they keep the look in the knife block. The only difference I've noticed so far is that they stain if you don't wash them right away, which hasn't been an issue with the Grand Prix II knives she has. I would recommend these knives for anyone who doesn't want to cough up the dough for the Grand Prix steak knives. Just make sure you wash them immediately after dinner.

I have wusthof knives that are more expensive. They have the more expensive handles. I purchased the Wusthof Silverpoint II knife set and steak knives for my daughter and one for my son. They work great. They both appreciate having a nice steak knife set. The old ones were dull and worthless. Great knives! Stay sharp a long time. Get the steak sharpner and they will be just like new after using this sharpner. Be careful not to cut yourself, using new sharp knives are a hazard after having dull knives. Like other reviewers, I am the happy owner of a set of Grand Prix II knives, and I absolutely love them. However, when the time came to add the steak knives, one look at the price of the GP II version made me nervous simply too expensive for someone who does not eat steak that often. So I ordered a set of these. I have to say I hated them at first. They are lightweight, and one can feel the quality as being different to the Grand Prix II. Ultimately, you get what you paid for. But, despite the weight, the blade is Wusthof quality; it cuts through steak without a problem (as much as I would like to claim that it is my excellent cooking of the steaks). Plus, the weight of the knife is a really minor issue when enjoying a steak, at least for me. So I bought a second set a couple of months later. If I had an infinite budget, I would have gone for the GP II, but as it is, these are good enough.Save 20% Off

Bigger than I realized (read the dimensions dummy!) but that's not bad. The drawers are toooo high! They easily could have been HALF the height (1.25" instead of the 2.5") and then there could have been twice the number of drawers. This was a "Knife Display Case" after all, NOT a Hand Gun Display Case!The quality is surprisingly good considering the price, however (isn't there always one) there appears to be "bumps" in the wood frame where the nails/screws? are almost pushing through, in several places.
Overall it's worth the "SALE" price.

I ordered this directly from the seller to save a few bucks and i was at first skeptical of the dimensions. For people wanting a nice folder knife cabinet this thing is absolutely perfect and you can fit an amazing amount of folders in it. the thing is i wanted it for fixed blades ranging from 6 OAL to over 15" OAL. And i wasn't sure i would be able to fit many knives like this in here.But after getting it and setting it up i have about 20 fixed blade knives in just the top shadowbox and last bottom drawer. these knives range from neck knife like skeleton handled knives to big choppers. Knives from like ontario, esee, and becker, all the way to Busse / Bussekins. I still have the 4 smaller middle drawers to add folders or small fixed blades to as well but for now i use 1 middle drawer for sharpening stones and lube and such.
It makes an excellent place for keeping all your favorite safe queen blades. The drawers are lined with felt to help prevent scratching and its made from real wood. plus it locks. the locks are a lot better quality than a lot of other boxes out there. It takes 3 different keys in different locations to open all the drawers, but each side can be opened 1 at a time with the "right" single key, if that makes sense. A cool feature and a small amount of added security.
And did i mention it looks beautiful? And the knives look even better inside a nice display. It makes you stop and appreciate the steel inside when you walk by. All in all I give it 5 stars and a 9/10. If there was another model with 2 large bottom drawers and only 2 small drawers so i could fit more large knives it would get a 10/10 but since that's just a personal thing id like, i gave it a 5 star review, get it you will love it, or ill take it!

I purchased this knife about a year ago to clean fish. I can't stand a dull knife, and I have yet to find a knife at a Wal-Mart or similar store that will stay sharp for long or sharpen easily.This knife is exceptionally sharp, keeps an edge well, and is relatively easy to sharpen. I didn't realize most of my fishing holes were going to go dry when I ordered this knife, but I'm glad I did. I tried to catch and clean most of the fish out of my ponds before they went to waste, and I spent 3-4 days a week last summer cleaning fish. Bluegill, crappie, and bass are all a breeze. Even large bass (7+ pounds) I would not normally have kept were easy enough. I normally sharpened a little after each use, but the knife easily handled each days catch without going dull.
I was hesitant at first to spend this much on a knife. Now, I wish I had done this long ago.

I couldn't find my tried and true Farberware peeler for a few days. I've had my Farberware peeler for about 8 years, recently the blade is dulling a bit, but it is a workhorse! The label had worn off a while back.
I couldn't find my peeler, and since I peel fruits/veggies daily, this was a big problem. I picked up the OXO Softworks Swivel peeler at the grocery store thinking it was the same as my one at home. Not so!
The OXO peeler has a much smaller swivel capacity. A small amount of swivel makes it difficult for the blade to rotate enough to peel something round, like an apple, peach, radish or even mango. My old peeler, the Farberware, has a blad with a greater swivel radius, making easier work for peeling fruits and veggies of various sizes.
I used the OXO immediately after buying it to peel an apple and it was very difficult. Despite being known for comfort, the OXO brand was very uncomfortable for me to use. Since the blade didn't rotate enough to peel the apple well, I was tryint to twist/turn the whole peeler, tweaking my wrist in the process.
The Farberware is quite comfortable to use, easy on the hands and wrist. The finger grips allow for easy holding. So if the OXO comfort is a big selling point, this product is still quite comfortable.
Thank goodness I found my old peeler shortly after! I'll be returning the OXO.

This is the sharpest peeler I've ever used! I had another one, saw this on Amazon, and bought it as a back-up! Rough skins on potatoes, carrots, even beets, are no match for this peeler!
Norpro All-Purpose Knife
I had bought one of these at a local store a few years ago to use for camping. But, I took it to a group pie bee and the lid didn't come back with it and the local store stopped selling them. I appreciated finding the same knife here. I love having a knife with a lid for food prep during camping so that I don't cut something else by mistake when all my utensils are in a bag together. It's also been my go-to knife when I need something sharp for tomatoes or stemming strawberries. My older knife has gotten duller by comparison to the new one and I'm not sure if it can be sharpened.

I went from having service for 6 or 8 that was at least half missing to this nice set for 12. Being the bargain hunter that I am, this seemed like the perfect price. I have, however, found that certain members of my family like their spoon bent "just so" and this is a source of aggravation for me. They do fine in the dishwasher, look great on the table and work for everything I do, just be aware that they may not be as heavy-duty as the set you have now if you are replacing a set.
