I returned it the same day I got it. They were sooo thin and cheap looking. I bet they would bend If you tried to eat with them.Since there were no other reviews, I was initially hesitant to make this purchase. Silverware is something that you want to feel before buying in order to ensure that it is not flimsy. I use this set as my everyday silverware and am pleased with the robust nature of this design. The pieces feel good in your hand and seem to be holding up well. No wear or scratches after a year of use.I needed another set for a big Thanksgiving feast and was pleased to be able to buy another set almost a year after the initial purchase. I cannot tell which set is old and which one is new. This is a testament to the quality of this product.
Victorinox Paring, Sheep's Foot, Small, Red Nylon, 3.25 in.
I love this knife. It's razor sharp, and the shape is perfect for me, which I prefer over the classic shape. The knife stays clean, it's easy to hold, and the plastic handle is better than wood, since it won't rot and has texture for a good grip. There's absolutely nothing to dislike about this knife, and I like everything about it.
However, note that the blade is pretty thin (and very sharp), so don't use it to pry things open or apart. That's what screwdrivers are for. :-)
Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Sharp Duo Knife Sharpener
I own a set of Henckels knives that are several years old. They are used every day and despite regular honing they were becoming dull. Keeping knives razor sharp is a skill that requires some practice and the right kind of sharpener, and so I was skeptical that one of these quick sharpeners would do a good job at sharpening them, but I decided to give it a try. Does the sharpener make dull knives sharper? It certainly does, in just a few minutes. Does it make them sharp enough for routine use? I would say yes; I am not a professional chef, but I find that I am much happier with the performance of my knives after sharpening. Does it return them to their factory degree of razor sharpness? Unfortunatley, no. I think there is no question that my knives were sharper out of the box than I can achieve with this hand sharpener. But that does not mean that this was a bad purchase. It has restored my knives from being a bit dull to being perfectly adequate for the use they get in my kitchen.
If you want to achieve like-brand-new razor sharpness, this sharpener will not do that for you. If you want to bring your dull knives back to a degree of sharpness that will be adequate for 99% of home cooks, this would be a good item to have.I am the proud owner of 25 Henckels knives, largely due to a consolidation of two households. I was never able to get a truly sharp edge on these knives, regardless of the sharpeners used and I tried many different gizmos using different sharpening techniques. The latest was the motorized "Chef's Choice" using diamond encrusted wheels and magnetized knife guides for the proper sharpening angle. Doing 25 knives took about two hours at least and the result was usually unremarkable. Actually, the knives remained remarkably dull regardless of the effort expended with this noisy gadget. And then I stumbled across the Twin Sharp Duo Knife Sharpener. Somewhat encouraged by the largely positive customer feedback, I bought one and have never looked back. The process is silent, it takes less than one third of the time compared with the "Chef's Choice" and the results are remarkable. The knives slice through the edge of a sheet of paper with no difficulty, tomato skin is no longer a challenge and carving a side of beef or a turkey is a joy. Pulling the knives through the sharpening ports of the Sharpener at first seems to yield nothing, but after the third or fourth pass the steel or ceramic plates engage the knife and impart an amazing edge. Maybe I am over-reacting because all my previous efforts with other sharpeners were overly time consuming and did not yield good results. This one, however, is different. It actually works! Some have said that the gadget does not impart the same edge as a professional sharpening would and that may be true. However, I don't intend to shave with my knives and for demanding kitchen work they are about as sharp as one would need. I think Henckels has done it this time. This is a great sharpener!

This was a gift for my wife who is going to Culinary School and uses Henckel Four Star knives. The two step sharpener works great and is very easy to use. A few strokes in slot 1, then about the same amount of strokes in slot II and the knife is new sharp again. The body of the sharpener is easy to grasp and really feels secure on the table with its rubber feet holding it steady as you run the knife in each of the slots. This sharpener not only works great but also looks great with its stainless steel body and frame.Read Best Reviews of Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Sharp Duo Knife Sharpener Here
While I have a great set of Henckels for home use, I bought this more to use on my work knives as a bartender. At work we have cheap generic knives that are highly abused. It took some time with the steel wheels to clean up the edge on the cheap knives, much more than "5 passes", but once I got the edge down and nicks out, the ceramics gave them terrific edge. Almost a month later the edges are holding up great despite heavy abuse and constant runs through the dishwasher (dishwashers take the edge off of knives hand wash), since I have no control over the abuse my coworkers dish out.
I am really looking forward to using these to clean up my personal knives out home, as soon as I get them out of storage.
Highly recommended.

I use this on my Henckels Pro S Chef and Santoku knives and it keeps them RAZOR sharp; as in you could shave with them if you wanted. There is some technique required; hold the sharpener on a SOLID surface (like marble) and go slowly to avoid chatter.Yamazaki Median 5-Piece Place Setting
I am a pretty big guy and like Euro style continental sized flatware, but these are for giants. It's not just length but the overall heft and width. Way too big. The knife's handle is hollow and super thick. There is no way it would not fall off the plate if carried on it.Surprisingly poorly finished unlike other Yamazaki sets I have seen. Quality control lacking, my set came with two dinner forks, instead of one dinner and salad forks.
If you're 7 ft and 300 lbs these may be for you.

LamsonSharp Classic Rosewood Bbq 15" Turner Tong
This is a great BBQ Tool. I have more BBQ turners and tongs than I'd like to count. They are either too flimsy or too large and unmanageable. The LamsonSharp Classic Rosewood BBQ 15" Turner Tong is perfect. It is lightweight yet extremely sturdy. I have used it to turn some filet mignons and it made it so much easier than a turner alone. I have since ordered several other LamsonSharp kitchen and BBQ tools to replace the others I swear at all the time. As a special feature for me, LamsonSharp tools are made in the U.S.A.This a really well designed tool. I use it most every time I grill. Melange Italian Villa Premium Porcelain Place Setting, Ivory
This dinnerware works perfectly for us and goes nicely with our Corelle glassware and our contemporary style stainless steel tabelware. It has a nice blend of casual, contemporary, and elegant, without being too much of any of those. The color is between pure white and actual ivory, and our Corelle pasta plates in Winter Frost go well with this set. If you are looking for "fine china," this isn't it, but you won't find any true "fine china" at this price! I think the irregularities make if feel more like hand thrown pottery and I am fine with that. It's almost like the living clay got frozen in time and one can almost sense its aliveness. Has the weight of dinnerware but the impermeability of china, which works well for us.PROS: Washes up well, looks nice on the table, and food looks very inviting against the solid white background. The raised design on the rim sets it off nicely, so one feels one is sitting down to a treat instead of just a meal. A good value for everyday use at this price.
CONS: One of the dinner plates has small black flecks in the surface and one of the salad plates has something that got into the glazing on the underside (it doesn't show when on the table), so I would not consider this "premium" quality. There is a slight waviness in the edges and design, but for me that is like a handmade look. Again, I would not call this "fine china," but it still works well for us and our casual lifestyle. The dinner plates are a little too large to allow the door on our Cuisinart 6-slice toaster oven to close completely, but using the bake setting instead of the convection setting compensates for that.
BOTTOM LINE: Good value, nice feel, and expect to get a lot of use of these!Everything we wanted. It replaces the old set we got that was getting long in tooth. It's elegant and simple.

This dinnerware is beautiful and will look classy either casual or formal event. Perfect weight, color and will look terrific with colorful side dishes.I could of rated this 4 stars due to arriving later than promised, however not the company's fault, but a carrier delay to which I was notified. Perhaps the delay caused the double shipping boxes to arrive pretty beat up, which caused one broken dinner plate. Upon unpacking I did notice a small flaw in one serving cup. To be honest I wasn't worried about the plate or cup being replaced because of previously reading the many positive reviews about the company's service level! Within hours after notifying them I received notice that they would forward an extra place setting to replace my 2 damaged pieces! This company is amazing and so is their product!! If only all companies were this caring . . . KUDOS WilliamNSonoma!,,
I did a lot of research to find the perfect dishes for our family and this set meets every criteria, and even much less than I expected to pay! The quality was above my expectation. Looking forward to loving these for many years.
Big huge thank you for offering such a great product!!!

Oneida Camlynn 53-piece Flatware Set, Service for 8
I looked and looked for months trying to decide on new flatware and finally decided to give this set a try. Amazon's price and the bonus 24-piece set I got for free made it hard to turn down. When I first opened these, my immediate reaction was , "Whoa, these are HUGE!" I wasn't sure about the continental size, it made our old stuff look like toys... my teenage son, in his usual cynical manner, commented that these must have been designed for "ham-fisted eaters."
It's now a couple of weeks later, and I can say that we've all adapted to the size, and I'm growing to enjoy this set more and more. It suits the large Dansk dishes we have, and really does look nice on the table. We always use a dishwasher and they come out perfectly shiny and spotless, as long as they haven't been "over-crowded" with too many pieces crammed into the basket. When we had a particularly large load, a few had waterspots, but they immediately went away when I handwashed and dried them.
If you're looking for exceptionally heavy flatware to accompany large dinnerware like Dansk or Fiesta, this set is a great option. The extra teaspoons are wonderful, too, if you're like us and use them constantly for making coffee and tea.
Two thumbs up!As other reviewers have noted, the pattern is rather large and sturdy in its construction. Great for a larger set of dishes. The pattern is also rather sleek.
Some of the cons that I see are:
1. The brushed part of the pattern scratches a bit, which leaves a new-looking shiny line in between a slightly scratched surface.
2. Watermarks are left on the brushed metal sometimes when they come out of the dishwasher, but not on the shiny part.
3. The manufacturing of this product was inconsistent.
#3 explained:
The pattern has slight grooves between the shiny line and matte sides to make the difference stand out. However, the set that I initially received had some pieces with the groove, some with none at all, making a smooth transition from the shiny portion to the matted portion. Even some individual pieces had one side with the correct pattern and the other side with the defect.
I investigated using the 25 year warranty from Oneida to replace the defective pieces or to just replace the set through Amazon. Oneida requires you to deal with all the shipping charges and details of replacing pieces, whereas Amazon makes the process quite simple, so I used Amazon's exchange service. The next set that I got from them was much better, though still not perfect in the manufacture of the pieces. I am not sure if this particular pattern was difficult for Oneida, but I do know that I would be reluctant to try to get new pieces from them due to this problem with the manufacturing.

This flatware is very high quality. The pieces are heavy weight and solid with a satin finish that is even and smooth. They are truly oversized, European scale pieces: the salad forks in this set were as big as the dinner forks in my old Oneida set. I expected something more delicate and was a bit surprised by their size and weight but have decided to keep them because the quality is obvious and the pieces have a nice, substantial feel in your hand. The design is simple and attractive. It is versatile and would compliment all but the most geometric tableware patterns. The price is outstanding for the set. The weight and quality were so much greater than the sets I had seen in stores for the same price that I was truly surprised when I unpacked the box. If I had not known the price of this flatware I would have guessed it to be far more expensive than it is.

I ordered this set to replace our older silverware, which after 3 children, is down to 6 spoons and 10 forks and 8 knives (Is there a utensil monster my mom forgot to tell me about?)When I ordered this set it seemed like a nice classic-style set with some european flair, right up my alley. Upon receiving it, I was amazed at how truly beautiful this pattern really was. The quality of it was more than I had anticipated and put my old Oneida to complete shame. Heavy pieces, well balanced, very nicely crafted. The knives and forks and spoons are longer than in a traditional set (especially the forks!) however you quickly adjust to eating with them. Truly a nice statement at the dinner table. Beautiful serving pieces, I especially liked the fact that it had 1 slotted serving spoon and one regular. Very Nice. 5 stars all the way!

A very attractive set and a nice quantity for the price. I had problems with the durability of the pieces, though. I merely washed the set as I took it out of the box and some knife pieces showed spots of rust. I didn't even get to use it and it was back in the box for a return. The instructions state how to care for the flatware; don't let the pieces sit in water, don't let foods stay on the pieces too long before washing, be cautious of the detergent used, don't let them air dry as that can cause rust, remove from the dishwasher when the cycle is finished. In my case I simply had to let them air dry for a short while because I had company in the house.
As I said it looks pretty, but it really loses out because it's simply not a functional set and it is inconvenient when one has to pay so much attention to caring for one's flatware. I don't really want to wash and dry each piece immediatly after using it. I remember seeing many a house where flatware was left in the sink with the dishes for quite a while before any one got to it. Just a little toughness is all I ask.
I also noticed as I shopped in stores that the frosted parts of flatware are very prone to scratching.
It's too bad. I'll be looking for something more durable.
Shun DM0750 Honing Steel
The amount of bad information here is unbelievable. This is not a sharpener. It doesn't have a hand guard or a slot. This does not have a plastic handle and isn't made in China. It will not scratch your knives if you use it correctly. It is not too short for a 12" blade. To my surprise it is capable of turning a chefs knife into a boning knife rather quickly, but if one follows the instructions on the box and uses a VERY light touch for stroking at the correct angle this high end tool will do you right. The handle is the same as on all classic knives. It is made for honing, not removing metal like a ceramic stick.
The angle guide is not to rub your knife against, just to help you get the right angle before you move down & stroke it. Holding it correctly, you do not have to change hands, just spin the steel 180 degrees. The flat part of the angle guide is 16 degrees for Shun knives. The rest of the angle guide is 20 degrees for the cheaper European steels and don't bother honing grocery store steel just pull it through a $1.29 sharpener.
This is a great tool if you learn how to use it the correct way.
HilditchI recently purchased this honing steel and perhaps I can sort out some of the confusion. In short, it does not damage your knives (unless you don't know how to use it), it is for honing (not sharpening), and my box says Made In China. The handle looks and feels exactly like the handles on the knives, and according to Shun's website, is made of the same material.
First, the steel performs like it should, and I have no problems with it's performance, design, or construction. I give it 5 stars for these reasons. The guard is handy for its flat side, helping to correctly angle the blade to 16 degrees--the angle at which the blades are made.
This is a honing steel, not sharpening, as has been said before. When a knife is used, the blade begins to develop small bends in the blade. A honing rod simply straightens out those bends, putting the blade back in alignment again. Of course, eventually the blade will no longer have the perfect edge it once did, and will need to be sharpened (that is, removal of material to make a new edge). This steel does not make your knives dull, jagged, ugly, or otherwise damaged. Unless I suppose, you don't know how to properly use a honing steel.
The box I'm holding here clearly says Made In China. My Shun knives are marked on the blade as made in Japan. That being said, I don't believe that it's of an inferior quality--if you handed me the steel I'd have no reason to believe that it was of a lower quality in things like the handle or craftsmanship as my knives at first glance. Also, I can't say for certain, but perhaps different runs of this product were made in different places. That would at least explain the confusion over where this product is made.
According to Shun's website, this handle is made of "Ebony-black PakkaWood". If it's truly made of some sort of plastic, it's indistinguishable from the look and feel of the knives. The only discernible difference I found is that it sounds different when tapped on, but that may very well be from a different size or shape of tang. There is however, a steel on Shun's website with a Co-Polymer handle. It's product number is 9990, and the handle looks very different from this one, almost like a big black plastic piece. The product pictured is a DM0750.
As a note, I have no affiliation with KAI Corp, Kershaw, or anyone similar (noting my reviewer name).

I recently purchased some Shun Elite knives. They cut like a light saber right out of the box but after a couple of months they dulled slightly. The Shun honing steel brought them right back to life. I really like the guide on the steel. It ensures you get the correct angle for Shun knives.Read Best Reviews of Shun DM0750 Honing Steel Here
Shun Sharpening SteelI use Japanese, French and German knives in my kitchen as well as a well known German brand's sharpening steel. I was constantly frustrated by it's inability to hone a blade and assumed I was using it incorrectly. I viewed video after video of correct honing techniques to make sure I had it right but to no avail.
I heard that Shun produced a good sharpener-honer so decided to purchase one. I have never looked back! The minute I put a blade to it, I could feel the difference. It realigns and maintains the edge on both the Japanese and European blades every time I use it.
One word of caution, it has a slot to guide the 15% angle required for Japanese blades, but this can scratch your knife and spoil it's aesthetics.
Otherwise, go and get one, you won't regret it!
Want Shun DM0750 Honing Steel Discount?
Great honing steel that is a bit longer than others I looked at (seems to help a bit for the bigger knives) and an attractive taper (not sure that matters, but it looks nice). I've had it for a while now and use it frequently. Despite an occasional clumsy collision, this steel slides smoothly and shows no nicks. It straightens the edge on my (mostly) mid-grade knives with ease.Another reviewer claimed the handle was plastic. Perhaps he was mistaken, or perhaps he had a different version. It does almost "feel" plastic due to the hard resin finish, but mine appears to be the same pakka wood as on my Shun knives (though the steel lacks the metal endcap the knives have).
Aesthetics are open to debate, but I think it looks much nicer than most, and performs better than any other I've used for daily straightening.

I have owned this WMF service for about 10 years. I am thrilled with it's durability, strength & shine. It doesn't bend or dull. This is my service of choice. Thank you WMF.I bought 4 sets of this WMF flatware pattern as a gift and they do look beautiful, with a good weight/balance to them. The flatware is of excellent quality and we love the elegant design -hence the 5 stars. However, we were shipped some incomplete place settings (not in manufacture's original packaging) with some items from another design by the same manufacturer literally thrown-in the box instead (most of these were badly scratched). Amazon's "customer service" from India was completely hopeless at sorting out the problem but once we got through to a representative based in the US it was soon put right.Read Best Reviews of WMF No.1 5-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Place Setting Here

I bought this knife just because i wanted something other than metal to cut my garlic, but now I use it for pretty much everything. I mean I dont know anything about knives but I know this is now my favorite knife I own. It cuts every kind of food perfectly and smoothly, and I noticed especially it makes meat a lot easier to cut. ONly downside is that it has the potential to break easily, seeing as the tip of mine is already chipped a bit after a few weeks, so you have to be careful with it and keep in the case, also since it is so sharp. But that aside I wish I could afford to have a drawer full of these knives. It is my favorite knife...it slices items as thickly or thinly as you like....it doesn't rust....if used correctly it will last a long time...don't try prying a jar lid open....I know better but in a hurry I tried doing that with my previous Jaccard and totally ruined it....make sure to follow advice on suggestions of how to care for this product....hence, no lid prying!Buy Jaccard 3 in. The handle failed on this knife today, after about 8 months' use. I used it several times a week for that 8 months, usually for chopping vegetables. The knife has never seen the inside of a dishwasher, so it's not a heat or soap related failure... the plastic material just parted, along the edge of the handle, in the part parallel to the tang.I was slightly disappointed by how fast the knife lost its factory edge. It remained sharp enough to chop celery, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, but it wasn't really sharp enough to easily slice meat anymore. Had the handle not failed, I would have given it a 3-star or 4-star review.
I wish I could post a photo of the failed handle... but if you extend the backbone line of the knife down onto the handle, imagine a rectangle about 1.5" long and 0.25" wide breaking off... the knife blade coming out of the handle... That's where it failed.
I guess the lesson is to buy the famous brand name? Not be beguiled by a lower quality option?
I'll try to track down the manufacturer and see if they'll replace it. But not holding my breath.

I have had one of these for nearly 10 years, and it works beautifully. I don't understand the other reviewer who said it tore up the bread, except to say that just baked loaves of bread hot (or warm) from the oven do not slice well. Experienced bread bakers all know this. Always let loaf bread cool off completely for the best slicing. Then you can always re-warm it. I just can't understand the negative reviews on this product; I have had mine for 9 years now and have NEVER had a problem with it. In fact, I came across these reviews because I am looking for one to give as a gift. I presume the negative reviewers must not be using this tool correctly; let bread cool completely and lightly saw back and forth --no force is needed, even in thick breads with raisins and nuts. That is unless the company changed the blade in favor of a cheaper version, but I doubt it.Read Best Reviews of Mountain Woods Adjustable Fiddle Bow Knife Oak (Right Handed) Here

This knife was terrible. All it did was tear up the bread. I made a very heavy bread and it would not cut at all. It just got jammed up and ripped up the bread.Mundial 5100 Series 7-Inch Santoku Knife, Black
I'm not a professional but this knife seems like a well constructed, heavy duty knife. It is extremely sharp out of the boxonly time will tell if it lives up to expectations. Thus far, it compares favorably to my Henckels 8" chef's knife. The Mundial 5100 7" Santoku is actually heavier though the handle is slightly smaller. After picking up the 10 inch Mundial 5100 French-style chef's knife I was impressed enough with its quality to go with them again for a good utility knife for "in betweener" jobs.Being 6"1' anything under 10" is too small as an all around chef's knife and I've found this santoku is a perfect halfway between a paring and chef's knife--the ever needed utility knife. If you prefer the smaller blades (8" chef's knife) this might not replace a sturdier French-style chef's knife but it's well worth the investment for the finer things.
I'm generally a minimalist as far as the knives I use but this was definitely worth the extra slot on my magnet.
As far as overall Mundial 5100 series quality, as I said in my French knife review, it stands pretty well with the knives that cost 3x as much. The little bit of sharpness you sacrifice is more than made up for by increase in sturdiness.
Epicurean Gourmet Utensils Nylon Spoon
If it only lived up to the standards of what is stated in the product listing this would be a *good* spoon, but this spoon goes the extra mile and does so in such a lightweight, eco -friendly, utterly stylish way that my other cooking spoons never stood a chance of keeping their place in the countertop crock.I read the measurements before ordering but was still impressed with the generous size when it arrived see photo. Two of my favorite design features are handles that don't take up much room in my crock and the embossed measuring guides. Never owned a spoon with a fancy paper pedigree before a *certificate* from the Forest Stewardship Council for use of green materials. Made of non-porous, bacteria resistant materials too. And heat resistant to 400*F degrees. Oh, and made in USA.
Yup, my other spoons are seriously bummed.....
*I*, on the other hand, am VERY pleased with this purchase and give it my highest recommend. It seems odd to say that I love a spoon, but I gotta admit I love this one. The bowl is large and deep and the shape is just right to gather up a lot of food when I'm serving. And unlike ordinary ladles, the bowl lies flat enough to hang very neatly on my pegboard.
And did I mention that it's simply beautiful?

American Metalcraft PPC4 Stainless Steel Pizza Cutter Wheel with Black Plastic Handle, 4-Inch
This is a great sized pizza wheel/cutter and the craftsmanship appears high. Mine was stamped stainless Japan. I feel that the blade is sharp enough to cut through but not too sharp where it would dull quickly. Blade tension is adjustable by tightening the lock nut or loosening it, though I'm not certain if this part of the cutter is stainless, so I'll be hesitant to put it in the dishwasher and will dry right after washing. No need to purchase anything more expensive as this one is ergonomic enough for me and fits the bill at under $10 and certainly better than the 2.5 inch diameter dull and loose blade [riveted so there was no way to adjust] Farberware I was previously using.Chef'sChoice 315S Diamond Electric Sharpener for Asian-Style Knives
I purposely bought this sharpener that grinds the finer 15 degree edge for all of my knives. It takes a bit of time to initially change the existing 25 degree edge on some knives but after you are done using this sharpener you will have the sharpest kitchen knife you ever used.I was dreading sending my Shuns and my Globals back to the factory for sharpening. I also didn't trust the local shops. I have a set of stones from in Razor Edge Systems in Minnesota, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the exact 15 degree angle. So I made the leap on this sharpener. I have run all my Asian style knives through it, and the result was a razor sharp edge and no ugly scratches up the body of the blade behind the edge (I saw that in one review). MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. THAT WILL BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUCCESS AND FAILURE!!!

Best thing since "sliced "bread. We changed all our knives to the Asian standards. This is one of those tools that actually works as well as advertised. Because we are vegetarian, chopping veggies is a daily chore that requires a sharp tool. This sharpener does the job quickly and efficiently. A good buy.Sonoma Sam

I had owned a larger Shun for a couple of years and it was getting dull. I asked at the place I purchased it from...not Amazon, if they had a sharpening service. Having none, I tried my wood working sharpening skills using diamond "stones" which improved the edge but a chisel is not a knife and I scratched the mirror finish near the edge. Cosmetic problem only. After joining Amazon Prime, I searched for my needs and found the 315S to be most suited. It arrived in the now classic 2 days delivery and I went at my Shun. I was able to get it sharper than it was fresh out of the package with a few tries! The scratches are still there but true to the instructions (which could be a little more detailed), I did put a shaving edge on the whole length. The store I purchased the knife at now carries this model! I next went to my non-Japanese style knives and improved their edges too: it takes some time and patience, but it's worth it.

Brought my Global knives back to a very sharp edge. It was not as sharp as when I first got it but that is unrealistic. I am very happy with the ease of use and effectiveness at this price.Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Four Star II 6-Inch Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife
I love these knives! They last a long time if taken care of. I use the diamond sharpening steel to bring back the fine edge. After using a Henckels Four Star 7" hollow-edge Santoku as my main mid-size knife for years, I decided to try the Four Star II 6" chef's knife, which is a bit heftier and has a curved blade. It is very sharp and well balanced, and I'm finding myself using it more than the Santoku. My wife, on the other hand, prefers the lightness of the Santoku. So our set has grown, but not at the expense of any of its members. The quality and versatility keep our preparation time more manageable. We strongly recommend the Four Star II 6" chef's knife, as well as other members of that line, of which we own several.Buy Zwilling J.A.
