Calphalon 3-Piece Cheese Knife SetPurchased as a gift. Great quality, materials, and craftsmanship consistent with Calphalon name. Only good for soft cheeses though; great for Brie.

Received as indicated good quality I like that the knives are labeled for quick and easy indentification as I store them in my Calphalon knife block previously purchased.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pure Meat Fork

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pure Meat ForkI got tired of my cheap forks either bending, rusting, or not being strong enough to really use with confidence. I searched Amazon for a decent meat fork, and so glad I found this one--it's fantastic! It is long enough to use it to reach into the oven or down into a larger pot, and is incredibly strong--nothing is going to bend it or fall off. It cleans up easily and looks elegant if left out/seen . . . just so happy with it and plan to try more Henckels utensils.

I've been looking for a good meat fork for a long time!!! This meat fork isn't too heavy for your hand, yet it's very sturdy and well balanced!! It's even pretty. It gives you confidence to pick up anything and get it to the plate or use it to turn over something your frying. I LOVE it!! The construction is one of my favorite parts, it's all in one piece, which contributes to not worrying about the handle breaking or coming loose. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. After this review I'm ordering another one. :)

Chef's Choice 500 ScissorPro Professional Diamond Hone Scissor Sharpener

Chef's Choice 500 ScissorPro Professional Diamond Hone Scissor SharpenerAll those dull old scissors I collected over the years, as they gradually lost their edge, are now SHARP. I stumbled across this product while looking for a knife sharpener. Since I was about to buy yet another pair of scissors, I decided to try it. It really put a good edge on all my shears (except pinking, nail and hair which it does not sharpen). You have to be somewhat careful holding the blade at the correct angle, as there is a bit of wiggle room under the guide. One practice run with a cheap pair of scissors should suffice, however, and it is wonderful to have really sharp scissors again. Lots of them!

Heavy little machine, this is good. The text mentions it sharpens knifes **(WRONG)** It only sharpens sissors. Ran about 10 pairs thru it and amazing even some pairs the kids used to cut wire with were honed clean of chips in the blade and were razor sharp after. Beware if you have knife edge sissors they include an attachment to do them make sure you use it. Very satisfied with the sharpner. Just wish it did knives too.

After reading the reviews on this product, I had it on my list of 'things I really would like to have someday' for quite a while. I have tons of different types of scissors, everything from kitchen shears, sewing scissors, craft scissors for all types of crafts and crochet projects, and detail scissors for scrapbooking and card making... along with lots of childrens scissors for the grandkids to use. Seemed like everytime I picked up a pair, they were dull, and I was constantly having to buy new pairs, tossing the old ones in a box...with the thought that someday I would figure out how the heck to sharpen those in a reasonable way. Well, 'someday' arrived. I saved my money up, to finally purchase the Chef's Choice 500 ScissorPro. I read the instructions, hauled out my box of scissors, washed the goo and glu off them first, and proceeded to give it a try, starting with my least fav pair first to practice on (a pair that had a small knick in one blade). I used a papertowel to try a test cut before sharpening. It not only wouldn't cut the towel, it bent it rather than cut, lol. Then after sharpening the pair... voilaaaa...it cut like a charm...cleanly and consistently with each snip (though on this pair, I did run it through several times to even out the knick in the blade)! AMAZING!! So I moved onto the next pair, and the next. Time after time, doing test cuts before and after, on the paper towel, with each pair. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING... did I say AMAZING?! It worked so well, on literally every pair I sharpened, that I took it over to our kid's houses, had them haul out all their pairs, and sharpened theirs for them too. Now they're saving up for one, as they would like their own. I thought the price was a bit high, but considering how much I've spent over the years on scissors (and gas to have to go out shopping for more), I feel it's worth the money. I only wish I would have had this product years ago, before spending so much on scissors over the years. We also have the knife sharpener (a separate product... this scissor sharpener can't be used for knives)... but the knife sharpener works very well too. Now if they can just invent a product like this for pinking shears and decorative edge scissors.... and toenail clippers.... (lol) Oh yes, almost forgot, the product arrived in a very timely manner, as well. Chef's Choice 500 ScissorPro Professional Diamond Hone Scissor Sharpener

This product is wonderful. It was easy to use and does a great job on all my scissors, big or small. I practiced first on my inexpensive scissors but quickly moved on to my sewing scissors. This is an alternative to the expense of professional sharpening.

Want Chef's Choice 500 ScissorPro Professional Diamond Hone Scissor Sharpener Discount?

I purchased this sharpener because the Chef's Choice knife sharpener is wonderful. The scissors sharpener is not so wonderful. It is capable of one angle on the coarse side and two angles on the fine side. If you have scissors with the angle it was made for then it's great. If you have scissors with the "knife edge" angle, there is an adapter for the fine side only. Therefore, if you cut a pin, you can't use the coarse side. If you have different scissors yet, if will completely ruin them. It is quite helpful to take the scissors apart to fit them into the machine.

Chef'n PrepStation, 3-in-1 Cutting Board

Chef'n PrepStation, 3-in-1 Cutting Boardthis prep station is ok but complicated. the sides have a tendency to pull out when you are trying to use them. if you leave them in a little further, there isn't much room to use them. the side to drain items, doesn't hold much. I will continue to use this, but it is not exactly what I expected.

I ordered this in hopes that I would be able to easily cut my veggies and get them out of the way to cut others. It did just that and I love it. It is so easy to use and to push the veggies to the strainer attachment and wash them with ease is great. This is a great product!!!

Joseph Joseph Cut and Carve Plus Multi-Function Chopping Board

Joseph Joseph Large Cut and Carve Plus Multi-Function Chopping Board, Redthe concept was what I was looking for...a cutting board that you could carve meat on and not have juices run off onto the counter. The board did accomplish this, but the material of the cutting board is a soft rubber and the knife marks were so deep I had to review my order to make sure I had a "cutting" board. If the deep marks do not bother you, then it will accomplish not letting juices flow off and onto the counter.

Perfect for what I need this for, great colour and very well made! The anchors to hold a roast in place for slicing are very sharp and I am sure will do a great job.

Buy Joseph Joseph Cut and Carve Plus Multi-Function Chopping Board Now

I love the fact that this cutting board does not slide around like all my others. The design is so simple, I do not know why they just got around to this now. The one side has a section to hold onto roasts or cheese to make carving a snap. It also lets juices run off into a channel instead of all over the counter. The other cutting boards went into storage in the pantry. This one stays out on the counter.

I will be tossing two other cutting boards which I have used for cutting things which either slide around on a board or release too many juices and ooze onto my counter. This is wonderful! I first saw it at a relative;s house, and she said that she uses it all the time because of its versatility. The sharpish pegs on one side keep our ham, roasts, and chicken in place, and the other side is smooth for cutting anything else. The surface of the board slants to one long side, and I had not realized until I bought it that it does the same on the other side. This is great for collecting the juices, crumbs, or sliced and diced things off to one side. There is no down-side to this product.

I absolutely LOVE this cutting board! It works fabulously when carving a roast or any other meat; the angled well is more than sufficient for catching all the drippings. I used to use a wooden carving board but hated trying to clean it afterward. This Joseph Joseph cutting board fits right into the dishwasher so I know it's clean and disinfected.

WMF Manaos / Bistro Dinner Knife, Set of 4

WMF Manaos / Bistro Dinner Knife, Set of 4I am very satisfied with having bought these instead of more of the cheaper junk I had been using. The blades are sharper than all of my other table knives, the whole piece looks nice, and they are actually clean when they come out of the dishwasher. It's all a solid piece with no stupid grooves or rough stamped-out edges to hang onto gross food.

Silverware is one of those things which I could never make myself pay much for, and I previously wouldn't pay more than about ten bucks for a full 4-person set of all items. But the cost of each individual piece of this WMF stuff isn't really that much. I don't know why the simple math went over my head before, but when you buy the really cheap stuff, you are only paying about half a dollar for each piece. No wonder the cheap stuff sucks.

I am very pleased that I purchased WMF Bistro forks, knives , spoons and teaspoons. Excellent quality, no need to dry them with a towel after the dishwasher. Very very shiny, with a clean design (the incrustations on the surface of some other expensive silverware make it so difficult to maintain it clean and good looking). WMF is an old company with a great reputation and I've always been pleased with the high quality of their products. The knives have printed WMF logo (with no taika or china). Also this Bistro edition silverware is much cheaper than any other WMF silverware set. I will definately get esspresso an desert sets.

They are high quality, very sturdy, the perfect weight...not light, bending and cheap like others in this price range. They look beautiful and shiny in the drawer, the old stuff looks very cheap next to these.

Things I like are its 1)simple design, 2) sturdy feel and yet light weight, 3)the handles are long and fit in the hand nicely and 4) it cleans up beautifully in the dishwasher (shiny and looking like new). I can't really say anything bad about the product. For everyday flatware it's the bomb!

Mundial B5604-7GE 7-Inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife, Blue

Mundial B5604-7GE 7-Inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife, BlueI helped a friend at a commercial kitchen, and I loved their Mundial knives. I decided to buy one. I got a santoku with the hollow-ground sides.

It's a very well-made (inexpensive) knife. It takes an edge fast. It stands up to the dishwasher. The price is great. But there is something about the balance and blade shape...it just doesn't work for me the way a traditional chef's knife does. For this reason, I gave it four stars instead of five.

I also bought a 14" slicer. It's wonderful.

I may go ahead and order a Mundial chef knife. The knives I used in the commercial kitchen were huge chef models, and they worked better for me.

Chicago Cutlery Woodworks 19-1/2" x 13-1/2" Cutting Board

Chicago Cutlery Woodworks 19-1/2' x 13-1/2' Cutting BoardThe board is the right size for carving up a whole chicken and the "moat", while modest in width/depth, kept the counters clean. Another plus is that it is reasonably light for its size. The one small surprise for me is that the wood is so very dry. It soaked up two very generous applications of mineral oil very quickly. If it doesn't come with oiling instructions, you'll still want to oil it as soon as possible and perhaps with multiple applications each spaced out by a day.

New comments:

After seasoning the board, hand washing, and 6 months of happy use, the board split along a glued joint. This happened after it had been sitting on the counter for a week under the weight of a homemade loaf of bread and a medium-weight glass cake cover. My best guess is that the board had become just slightly (and most imperceptively) warped and the constant distributed weight provided enough stress to crack apart the glue overnight -6+" of it! I know nothing about woodworking but I doubt that seasoning alone can strengthen a joint or prevent minor warpage. So I'm lowering the product to a 3 star rating.

1/17/08: Maybe I need a life but I just thought I'd add that there has been no further splitting after 1.5 years of use. I guess nothing is perfect and I certainly still enjoy using the board very much.

I just recently ordered and received this item (with lightening fast speed) and I am really impressed. I won a set of nice Chicago Cutlery knives in a survey contest and started doing some research on how to keep them nice and sharp for the longest time possible. I found out a nice good board of maple or cherry that was at least an inch thick was the best bet. I am following the oiling instructions since before I didn't do that and all of my cutting boards would split. Also, not allowing my hubby to put them in the dishwasher is a good idea as well. It looks like it will stand up to the job and it is big enough to carve a ham or roast so we love it!

This cutting board is the right size and has the right "ergonomics." Though it could easily be a "both sides" type cutting board, you'll likely only use the top side with it's perimeter juice groove (sorry, don't know what it's normally called--perhaps PJG will catch on...) and the classy "Chicago Cutlery" moniker burned-in to the face. But, hey, we just talking about wooden cutting boards, right? What besides good size, the right weight, and a PJG do you need? Well folks, this board has got it! It's beautiful cherry color--not pine or plastic-colored but truly gorgeous cherrywood coloration. And after seasoning my new board with mineral oil before first use the deep color was only enhanced. This board is a fine product.

Well, Now I bought this after reading plenty of reviews and I am only a satisfied customer. I still feel I could have made a better choice. The product turned out to be just ok. It bent after couple of months of use. I followed all the instructions of care before using it but in 2 months I saw a dent and it was slowly bending. But after 6 months, I see it is coming back to its shape. I don't know how it is possible but it happened.

It is large board. You can cut couple of onions, couple of tomatoes, 3 potatoes, bunch of cilantro and still find place to chop up garlic and ginger. That's something I figured out!! But one thing that didn't go well with me were the corners. For some reason I wish they were fully flat without having those ridges. Food gets stuck in between them and clean up becomes a hassle. And if you want to slide off the veggies from the board to your hands it becomes quite hard since it gets stuck in those ridges.

For the price it is ok!! but I would still look around for something better! Final wordI am not ecstatic about the buy!!

This board is beautiful, perfect size next to my sink, and so far has worn really well. It functions not only as a cutting board but a staging area for dishes after eating. I treated it with mineral oil when I got it, which brought out the grain even more. I highly recommend this one.

Deglon 4-Inch Grapefruit Knife, Stainless Steel

Deglon 4-Inch Grapefruit Knife, Stainless SteelCertainly there's only so much you can say about a grapefruit knife. I have used a few over the years and the ease with which I am able to separate the fruit from the rind with this one stands out. The knife is sharp enough and angled in such a way that it takes very little effort to work around each individual section. It's dishwasher safe, small, but feels sturdy in the hand. I have no reason to believe I will need a replacement for many years to come. Comes recommended if you need one!

I was surprised it was possible for a grapefruit knife to be markedly better than any I had used before. This one has a thin but strong blade with a serrated edge that cuts through a grapefruit like butter.

J.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro 13-Piece Knife Set with Block

J.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro 13-Piece Knife Set with BlockFirst off, I'm not going to compare these knives with $100.00 a piece knives. It's just not going to happen. I will however, compare these knives with the set they will be replacing.

My wife and I are replacing a 17 year old set of Eversharps with this new set. The new set of J.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro 13 piece block are just as excellent as the old set when they were new, but have a much thicker blade. The old set are still good knives, but not razor sharp anymore like when we first bought them.

As for the other reviewers, I don't know why the tips of their blades are either broke off or bent. I do know that knives are not meant to be used to cut through bone, nor poking, prying, separating semi-frozen or frozen foods or using the knives as a screwdriver or can opener. They are only to be used for cutting.

For a set of $100.00 knives, they are very good and razor sharp. I highly recommend this set. Buy them, you will not be disappointed.

My friend has this set, and regrets getting it. I hate using these knives!

First of all, before you consider buying these you should know the difference between J. A. Henckels and J. A. Henckles International (which this set is), J. A. Henckels are top-of-the-line quality knives and will run you around $300-$1,000+ for a set with a block. They are made in Germany. There's is a two-man logo on the knife block. The International line is made in Thailand and are very cheaply made, therefore sold cheaper. Only one man in the logo on the knife block.

Back to this set, the steak knives do not even fit in their designated slots! 5 will fit fine but when you try to put the sixth in the slot, it is too tight and the knife will no fit all the way. And it isn't just one bad slotyou can have any five knives and any five slots and whatever knife is remaining won't fit in whatever slot is left. My friend has to put the utility knife and paring knife in the steak knife section to make it work, and both of them fit differently in those slots and hang down lower than the four steak knives and it looks very sloppy. Plus, the shape of the steak knives is very odd, they have a sharp taper and very pointy tips (see them hereJ.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro Stainless Steel Steak Knives, Set of 4), one of my friend's tips has broken off.

Also, this set does not come with a bread knife and there are no extra slots in the block for any additional knives you may purchase/already have, so I guess your bread knife can go in a drawer... Or, you could use the santoku knife that comes in this set, since it is serrated for some reason. Pretty useless, seeing as a santoku is meant for chopping and the serrated edge doesn't get the job done.

Also, these knives will definitely need to be sharpened contrary to their claim. My friend's are all dull. All knives need to be sharpened, no matter the price. This set does not come with a honing steel or kitchen shears.

The only good thing about these is that they are forged and have a full tang, but then again they don't feel very balanced, they are lighter than they should be being full-tang, they are not German quality cutlery, and having used them, I do not recommend them. Also, I think, not sure, but I think there is a limited lifetime warranty for them, so that's another plus.

I am assuming that the shoppers looking at these knives are young, maybe first time homebuyers or moving into a first apartment, or a home cook looking to replace an old set. I would definitely advise you to shop around before making this purchase, read a lot of reviews on these and other knives, look for recommendations on cooking shows, magazines, and blogs before investing in a new set of knives because having knives you love will take you much farther in the kitchen than knives that frustrate the heck out of you every time you use them.

That being said, I highly recommend Victorinox cutlery (go check out their reviews!) with fibrox handles (not the prettiest, but trust me, these knives are great). One thing I learned when choosing my first set of knives was that buying a whole knife block set may not be the way to go. You can save a lot of $$ by only buying the basics to begin with and then adding to your collection later. The Victorinox knives I bought arethe 8" and 6" chefs knives (6" makes a great utility), 10 1/4" bread knife (though it's a bit long so you may want to check out their 8"), a 7" granton edge (that means there are air pockets on the side of the blade so food slides off easier when chopping) santoku, 3 piece paring knife set, 6 piece steak knife set, and I also got a free 4 1/2" serrated tomato/bagel knife because of a promotion (I think it's still going.). I also bought Chicago Cutlery Insignia kitchen shears for about $8, I don't use shears very much so these were the cheapest ones I found with good reviews. And I bought an Oxo Good Grips honing steel for about $15. So these 16 pieces cost me total about $150, but you could totally cut out the santoku, paring knife set, or whatever else you want because the nice thing about buying individual pieces is that you can choose a couple knives knowing you can just multitask with them instead of buying tons of knives and save a bunch of money. Also, Victorinox's fibrox 8-pc. set costs $150-$175 (there's three different listings for it) on Amazon. So I got double knives for the same price! One thing I still need is a knife block though, that's the thing with purchasing individual knives is that it may be hard to find a knife block to fit them. The Wusthof 17-slot block looks like it will do the trick, and it will have one extra slot should I choose to purchase another knife later.

When looking at a product's reviews, make sure you read all of them! So many times I have come across something that someone gave a one-star review because that customer had gotten poor customer service or the shipping was late because it was Christmas or other ridiculous reasons having nothing to do with the product but still lowering it's rating, when others have rated it very highly for it's performance. Make sure you read it all!

So I will stop here and wish you good luck in your hunt for a nice cutlery set. Sorry to go on about Victorinox so much, I just want to point people in a good direction!

Hope my review was helpful!

I was resistant to register for these but did at my husband's insistence. I really thought knives were just knives, but he was quite insistant.

These may not be the top of the line for heckles (or knives in general), but you get what you pay for.

Even after 5 years of constant use, they cut much better than brand new sets (of other brands) that cost half the price. The handles are well made and have not fallen apart, we've had no problems (like the previous reviewer) in putting all our knives into our block. We've had people come over and use our knives and go out and buy this set afterwards.

It's not a Pro knife set and these particular ones are not designed to be sharpened (because they are all serrated), but they are good for household use by those of us who have not yet been spoiled by the 100-buck-a-piece knives out there, or simply cannot afford them.

Only complaint with these is that when cutting large batches of red meat, the muscle fibers can get caught in the seration.... so we recently bought a new knife for butchering meat. Still, this set was wonderful for the first 5 years of our marriage and we are still using it today.

Worth the price--though, if you can afford to spend more money on knives, you will find better Henkels (or other brand) knives out there.

We registered for and received these as a wedding present, to replace an old block of cheap knives that required a lot of sharpening but were decent. Unfortunately we took them to Goodwill upon receiving the new ones. I'd hoped to have to sharpen way less, and have knives from a quality cutlery brand. I've since learned that the International line is not of the same quality or reputation. These knives are not sharp. The micro serrated edge is not good for many things (chopping, slicing even with the tomato knife, cutting meat even with the steak knives). The steak knife tips are very thin and pointy, and a few have bent or chipped, though we have no idea how. We bought a sharpener and it doesn't help, probably because of the micro serrated edge. I will be looking into the warranty and BB&B return policy.

Joyce Chen 50-0045, My Handy Little Knife, 4-Inch

Joyce Chen 50-0045, My Handy Little Knife, 4-InchI ran into this knife when I was actually hoping to find one of those short Japanese sushi knives with the nice little wood sheath. A nice multi-purpose portable knife. I have a lot of small pocket knives, but but one of the most common uses I end up needing them for is food. SO here comes a great idea: a small kitchen knife with a sheath!

But there are some problems that could easily be fixed with little or no cost:

1. The handle guard hangs down below the blade, while a food knife is usually better if the blade hangs down so it can chop flat onto a plate or board.

2. The handle is shorter than the blade, but a short kitchen knife (ie, paring knife) usually gives you a useful handle length with a short blade. To make it worse, some handle length at the back end is wasted with that stylish drop-down bump, which is right where my pinky wants to sit.

3. The sheath has no drainage hole. It's basically impossible to give the sheath a good inside cleaning. Plastic sheaths for many hunting or utility knives often have a small hole at the end, so you can flush it out all the way just by holding it under the faucet. It's like trying to clean a cup by slowly filling it with water and pouring it out. Not very sanitary for somthing I want to use for food.

4. The plastic is cheap. Oils or alcohols are causing red stains when I wipe them on a paper towell. That means the plastic is not stable. Not only is the sheath difficult to clean, you have to be worried about what you clean it with.

5. The steel isn't that great either. It was sharp when new, but that didn't last very long and when it was time to sharpen it the thing just didn't want to get sharp. I have sharpened hundreds of knives and I have a dozen different stones, and this is one of those knives that just doesn't like to get very sharp. It's not an expensive knife, but I had a Victorinox parer I got for 5 bucks that was better.

For the price it's still handy to have, but it could be 10 times better and still be cheap.

I have had this knife for many years kept at my desk to slice fresh fruit. It was so liked by co-workers someone absconded with mine while I was out of town. So I am back to order several more. The blade stays nice and sharp easy to clean and the blade is right sized for small tasks and reduced risk of cutting fingers. I love the cover and knowing that visitors to my desk are protected and blade is not exposed while not in use. Highly recommend this knife!

This near-razor sharp little knife is a great kitchen or camp tool and a handy self defense item for a lady's purse or concealed carry: The built in plastic sheath has a friction fit that keeps the knife safe until it is extracted for use as a deep slashing or stabbing edged weapon or innocent looking apple slicer.

I love this knife. We've had ours for about ten years and we take it with us when we're going on trips and picnics. It is extremely useful for slicing meat, cheese and bread; for spreading butter and cream cheese; and for cutting and peeling fresh fruit and vegetables. The blade has remained sharp over the years and it's small enough that it easily slips into a picnic basket or a cooler. The sheath fits well so you don't have to worry about it becoming accidentally separated from the knife. It's easy to clean. It's perfect.

I love this for camping, picnics, or whenever you need a take-along-knife for food prep or serving. It's sharp and compact. Just make sure the blade is dry before you place it back in the sheath and there will be no problems. I have one that I have used for 10 years and it is still as sharp and shiny as new. I also include them in gift baskets of cheese, etc., for friends, so I have purchased several. I like that they are more attractive and stylish (for my gift baskets) than the other brands on the market.

Fiskars 158920-1001 Package Opener Plus More With Snap-in Screwdriver

Fiskars 158920-1001 Package Opener Plus More With Snap-in ScrewdriverVideo product review.

I purchased three separate package openers to always have something on hand to open those terrible blister packs with. You know the ones that not even a Pit Bull could get open. Well, I do believe this one will do the trick. I immediately opened it. How simple. The plastic was simply glued to it all the way around the package. I ripped it out and began to use it to open another one of my new treasures from Amazon, another package opener. Well. Of course, that one too had been simply glued all the way around the pack (for us simple minded women). Then I had to tape the cardboard holder back together because it contains pictures and information I want to save.

This FISKARS has slanted blades which help in tackling blister packs. It has a sliding lock on the handle to open blades. A very good safety feature considering how sharp the blades are. This one also had a small screw driver, for working in small spaces, attached between the handles. This tool is FAR SUPERIOR to two others that I ordered at the same time.

2-7-12: This is "da bomb"! Wow! This tool is worth twice what I paid for it. It has the perfect weight, size, design and boy does it get the job done. I should buy another to keep in my garden hand tool carry all. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful tool to everyone who ever tried to open one of those industrial strength blister packs.

This tool makes opening packaging easy. I've used it on thick plastic clam packaging and it cuts through all parts with little effort (thick outer edge and easier to cut interior). The handles are comfortable, blades are sharp and provide enough leverage to use with one hand without straining. I've cut myself with a sharp knife by slicing through a clam pack into the hand holding the package. In the emergency room while receiving stitches they told me it is a common injury, especially during the holidays. I have also used it to cut open cardboard toy packaging and to cut the small wire ties holding the toy in place. The opener speeds this process up and gets the toy out more quickly than untwisting the ties. The tip of the blade is small enough and strong enough to get close to the toy and cut the ties without damaging the toy. Haven't used the small screwdriver yet but it's a nice bonus item.

This is another holiday season must have with all the gifts you will be giving and getting in return, you need a handy tool like this to open all those hard to cut plastic ties and packages. I love this as it is very sharp and cuts just about anything open and the tips of the scissors can get into tight spots. The little screw driver is a great idea as after I opened toys for my son, I always have to put batteries in! It is stored in a convenient place. Very great product!

This product is GREAT! This year when my kids get all the packages with wire twisters and battery compartments with a screw, I will only need to keep track of this one tool. It cuts through a clam shell super easy and I will probably buy another so both my husband and I can open packages at the cousin gift exchange. If you have young children and are easily frustrated with plastic packaging, buy one of these!
