I don't usually write reveiws, but I was so happy with this purchase that I wanted to write one for this item. If you are looking for a wood cutting board this is an excellent one to buy. I love the round shape and it is an awesome quality. It has rubber feet on the bottom that keep it up off the counter and the handles work great for lifting it. It has such a pretty wood grain to it that it looks nice sitting on the counter. A very solid board that will last forever. Shipping was fast even with the super saver option! A great shopping experience!love the board ..... cleaning can be a problem though ...it stains easilyVulkanus Professional Knife Sharpener
I have been using this knife sharpener for about six years now. I first came upon it while volunteering as a chef's assistant at local culinary school. It was the chef's favorite sharpener of all the ones he sold in his kitchen store. You'll see why once you try it you never have to guess if you have the angle just right, and by changing how you place your knife in the device, you can either sharpen or hone. I hone my knife before every use and sharpen after every 6 or so uses. It's amazing. I've given it as a gift to many family members and recommend it at every opportunity! You won't be disappointed and you will never have a dull knife again unless you don't use it! ;-)Yamazaki Haiku 5-Piece Place Setting
I have been trying various Yamazaki and other brands of flatware, and this is my favorite. I love the rounded shape of the spoons, particularly how they contrast with the lines of the handles and the tines of the forks. I love their heft and size in my hands, it is just fun and a pure pleasure to eat with these pieces of flatware. So far, they do great in the dishwasher. I highly recommend them.

Bought these with gift card I received for my birthday. They are awful. They don't cut they tear the meat. Avoid. They work good but not great. Tend to rip the steak rather than cut it. Purchased these steak knives because I like the "aussie steak house" knives. The knives are well made. Blade is stiff and features a serrated and honed cutting blade. Handles are comfortable. Handles secured to full tang with three rivets. The knife cuts well and worked quite well on porterhouse steaks. Good price and super saver make this a winner.Want Messermeister 4-Piece 5-Inch Wrangler Steak Knife Discount?
These knives are very similar to the ones in steakhouses everywhere. They are beefy, durable and comfortable to use while performing great. We had some nice looking, expensive steak knives that looked nice on a properly set table but the serrated teeth were so fine that steak would get stuck and hard to clean out. These work just fine with both casual and more formal settings. I only bought 8 but think I will order more. Also, I order from Amazon on a regular basis. Absolutely love the one click buy and everything has always been shipped very promptly.Set 4 Wallace Taos Stainless Steel Steak Knives
eBags Lunch Cooler
Item purchased to replace a similar size/style item. For my son, of course it had to be red. This eBags lunch bag is available in several colors (including red) so it fit the bill. The bag is a robust design using quality components. The zippers and zipper pulls are oversized and have pull assists covers on the attached lanyards, to make them easier to grasp and orient by smaller hands. They zip smoothly and do not bind. The shoulder strap is adjustable and of a quality woven nylon that should outlast the bag itself.
The interior of these type bags is where they most often (in our experience) fail, and this bag may follow suit. The insulated interior features an aluminized lining material that appears as durable as other makers, at least for now. Only time will tell if it should become brittle along crease areas and eventually tear allowing moisture leakage into the insulated space between the inner and outer lining. My original impression is that it should do fine under normal use. There is also a small netted pouch on the underside of the lid for securing fragile foods.
This lunch bag is a good size. It easily fits in my son's backback to carry to school, and on days when the pack is full, he can use the strap over his shoulder or around the backpack's extendable handle. So there are lots of carry options.
Shipping from eBags was very quick, as usual. The item arrived safely and was just as had been ordered.
*** UPDATE: January 2010 ***
This bag has been great! After a year and a half of school use it is still in great shape; i.e. no tears or rips, and it still looks very good as well. We liked this bag well enough to buy another one for my wife to carry her lunch to work in.Purchased this bag for significate others' lunches. He loved it! He liked that black/gray color combo and the size was perfect. Enough room for sandwich, drink and snacks. The whole top zips open pretty wide. So those Gladware plastic containers fit just right inside the bag. I would highly recommend this product for a guy's lunch bag. This has to be the finest item of its kind that I've ever purchased. It's extremely well made and utilitarian. It keeps lunches cold from 6:00 AM until they are consumed around noon. The product is highly recommended.

This bag was purchased for my 6th grade son's school lunch. It fits his Thermos, sandwich, fruit, chips, dessert, and ice packs with room to spare. The only additions I would make are an outside compartment for putting identification and a shorter handle in addition to the long strap. Bag seems durable. He's happy with it and I am too!Want eBags Lunch Cooler Discount?
After recieving this lunch bag in the mail it took only one day to have the inside seams to come apart after normal use.I would not recommend this type of bag to anyone due to its poor construction.
Wusthof Culinar 7-Inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife
I've owned this knife for several months and am pleased with it -it certainly is good-looking. The santoku blade is great for chopping veggies -I think the hollow (Granton) edge is well worth the small increase in price over a flat blade. The only drawback to this knife -as it is with competitors' steel-handle knives, is that most cooks will not feel as secure holding it, particular if your hands are a little slippery or greasy. It just feels as if it might slip. For that reason, I think the Wusthof Grand Prix version of this knife would be a slightly better choice. But hey, if you have a zillion-dollar kitchen and a zillion knives, this series is the prettiest to display that you'll find anywhere. We bought this knife for our son. He has been helping in the kichen since he was three, and is training as a professional. He says this is the best knife he has ever used and is very easy to keep clean.

I owned this knife for about five years and could not be happier with it. The edge holds very well but we do a quick sharpening every 3-4 times it sees moderate use. Almost everyone who uses it is surprised how sharp it is compared to their own knives. We have purchased 3-4 more of this and the classic version for family that left our house wishing they stuffed it in their pocket before leaving. The Culinar look is excellent, definitely an upgrade over the classic and just has a feel in your hands that surpasses normal knives. I don't know if it's worth the extra price but our main two knives are both Culinar while the rest are Classic. I guess my point is, if you want just 1 goto knife that looks and works the part, get this one.
I cannot recommend another knife over this one based on my wife's and my own experiences. I'm over a foot taller than my wife and we both hold and use this with ease.

Wow, these are terrible. I was really excited about them but they are terrible for two reasons. One, they stink. Really bad. And it doesn't matter how many times you wash them, they still stink. And second, they shed like crazy. There is no way of getting all the tiny fibers to stop coming off of these boards. Terrible, terrible product. Don't make the same mistake I made. These are good cutting boards but the smell is bothersome to me. I have had cutting boards before, some great, some not-so-great, and currently have two very large ones hand-crafted out of maple which I have had for years and which are wonderful for big jobs. They have held up well over the years with the proper care. I had been considering purchasing more for sometime, particularly in smaller sizes as use one of the large ones for such tasks as slicing a single tomato or onion is a bit of over-kill.I found these in Amazon Warehouse Deals for $7.99 (and eligible for Free SuperSaver Shipping). I placed them on my wish list and ordered them the other day to round-out an order to over $25 to qualify for Free SuperSaver Shipping. I have never had bamboo cutting boards before, but decided to take a chance on them. I must say the grain in them is gorgeous, and I was surprised by the light weight, having used the much heavier maple cutting boards for so long. As I have only had these for a little while I cannot yet comment on their longevity, but will say they seem to be constructed as well as any of the other cutting boards I have seen out there.
These are perfect for smaller jobs, and now I don't know why I waited so long to try them. The smallest one is perfect for slicing a single tomato or onion. The larger one is perfect for a loaf of home-made bread. While I will still use my larger cutting boards for the bigger jobs, these are a nice addition to our kitchen ~ and Amazon Warehouse Deals had them here on the date they estimated they would ship them. I am very pleased.

Excellent quality and just the right sizes to produce efficiency in the kitchen when prepping foods. I never used bamboo cutting boards before and was surprised how well they work. No warpage like my old plastic ones, either. Hard enough to stand up to repeated cutting and dicing but soft enough to prevent premature dulling of knives. What a wonderful idea. These are wonderful cutting boards and perfect for my small kitchen. They are half the thickness of other wooden cutting boards and pleasingly lightweight, but very strong and rigid. With a small kitchen and limited counter space, I cannot leave my heavy maple cutting board out on the counter all the time. Have been using a plastic cutting board for everyday chopping, as it's easily stored by propping against a counter wall out of the way, but I hate plastic boards. These thin, lightweight bamboo boards are the ideal compromise solution for me real wood, easy on good knives, very good looking boards, strong and solid, but lightweight and thin enough like the plastic boards to deftly prop against a wall or in dish rack out of the way when I need the counter space for other tasks. No bad smell at all on my boards. Baffled by the nasty comments from "John Kong" and "Daniel Orr". And "shedding"?? That's crazy, shedding what? The boards are not "flimsy" either. They are just not writing about the same product I have in my hands. Or they are trolls...
I'm so glad I bought these boards, I'm thinking about buying another set to stash away for future use. This cook is delighted with the product.

This knife completed my set of Chicago Cutlery knives. They are all walnut signature forged, the key word being forged. Note: there are others from Chicago Cutlery that have "walnut" in their name, they are stamped, not forged and they are not as good in every way. But, the walnut signature forged offer great balance, comfortable grip, are nice to look at and a very good buy as well!NORPRO "My Favorite Knife" Teflon Safe & Heat Resistant
The NORPRO "MY FAVORITE KNIFE" does not scratch nonstick bakeware, even if you use extra pressure in drawing it across the bakeware surface. However, because the short, oddly-shaped blade lacks a serrated edge, this knife doesn't cut cornbread or brownies nearly as easily as the elegant 12" Zyliss Dessert Knife (nonstick surface-safe), or the stubby 8" Bakeware Buddy Non-Stick Surface-Safe Plastic Knife. From handle tip to blade tip, the Norpro "My Favorite Knife" is 9 inches long; the knife is balanced and the handle is comfortable to hold. My knife is green, and matches the green shown in the product page photo. As an add-on item priced at about $3, this is a pretty good deal. But because of the smooth-edged blade, I rate this Teflon-safe knife at just 3 stars ("It's okay" on the official Amazon scale). If you are cutting soft butter in a non-stick pan, then this will suit you fine. If you want to cut brownies or lasagna or anything of substance, think again. A TOTAL WASTE!

What is this thing for? It's duller than a piece of plastic silverware, oddly shaped, and I believe they sent me the ugliest color they had... it's a kind of dull, dirty yellow. I guess it would be OK if you had a three-year-old who wanted to "help"" in the kitchen, or chop her play-doh into shapes... it's badly molded, too; there's a sharp ridge (mold mark) on the underside of the handle, which makes it uncomfortable to grip. Nice set it was on sale. Had to sharpen them though, they weren't very sharp out of the box. We've been purchasing Wusthof Classic knives for over 30 years. They are well made, properly weighted and hold an edge nicely. This purchase was for our adult daughter. The knife looks and functions exactly like the one we've owned since we've been married. It is nice to find products that haven't lost their quality over the years. We highly recommend the Whusthof Classic line but beware Wusthof now makes a less expensive line, the Gourmet series. We were disappointed in how they performed as compared to the Classic knives.
Rada Cutlery Utility Steak Knife, Made in USA
I'm happy with this knife, even though the knife looks and feels cheap it's very sharp. I had a bunch of other knifes that lost their sharpness really fast and I was getting frustrated when trying to cut something with them. When I ordered this knife I wasn't expecting much since it's cheap, but I'm happy since it's pretty sharp and seems to be dishwasher safe. This is a great utility/all purpose knife. It's also pretty enough to be used at the table as a steak knife too. The reason I like it is because it's not bulky and is easy for people with small hands to use in the kitchen.Buy Rada Cutlery Utility Steak Knife, Made in USA Now
We were given a set of 3 knives 30 years ago at our wedding shower. I never knew the brand name of the knives until I saw a flyer in the mail advertising a knife that looked remarkably like what we received so many years ago. So on a whim, I went to Amazon (my go-to online store) and searched this knife. Told my husband I was going to order one and see if it could possibly be the same knife (I doubted it, but tried anyway). Lo and behold, it was the same knife when I opened the box and compared my 30 year old knife to the brand new knife. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program PACKAGE CONTAINSFrigidaire has produced a decent quality handheld mixer/blender--with limitations. The product is well-made with both metal and plastic components. The power stick houses the 200 watts motor, making it the heaviest of all the pieces. It has parts that click into place and are removed by holding in a button on the power stick. Pushing the button while simultaneously attaching/detaching a part may prove a bit difficult if your hands are weak. In addition, there are: small, metal, double beaters; a plastic beaker for mixing; a plastic bowl with a tiny, metal blade (for chopping); and a long, metal immersion stick for blending (in the beaker, in a pot, etc.).
GOOD for LIMITED SPACE
For the price, you are getting three kitchen helpers: a blender, a mixer, and a food processor. That's a good deal if you lack money to buy all three products and/or are short on kitchen storage space. The Frigidaire Professional Immersion Hand Blender/Mixer is great for those who live in dorms, where space is severely restricted. It would also be a good choice for apartment dwellers who have limited kitchen space for small appliances.
PRODUCT'S LIMITATIONS
If you are preparing very small amounts of food, this is a handy appliance to own. However, if you cook for more than one or two, this is not the appliance you want. The manual advises that, the chopper, for example, "....works well for herbs, nuts, and some vegetables...". In other words, this is not for heavy duty food preparations. The chopper bowl itself is quite small as is its metal blade.
The 200 watts motor has its drawbacks. While strong, it must be allowed to rest for a full 60 seconds after 30 seconds of use. Using it without these rest breaks may cause the motor to overheat. To whip two extra large egg whites, it took a full 30 seconds (on the highest, TURBO speed), using the metal beaters. The result was very well whipped egg whites (that were not even forming soft peaks). After the requisite one minute rest, I whipped the whites again for 30 seconds. Soft peaks were only just beginning to form. Should you want to make whipped cream, you can do so in quantities of up to 17.5 oz.. However, the manual's timing of 50-70 seconds on TURBO will not yield stiff peaks. In other words, the work/rest/work/rest operation is time consuming.
I put a few ounces of frozen whole almonds into the food processor to see how it would chop. It worked well. But, it took several minutes to bring it to a finely ground almond powder. Pushing the machine even further, I added a little coconut oil and whirled the motor again. Within several seconds, I had about 3.5 ounces of almond butter. Nice job!
PRODUCT COMPARISONS/CONTRASTS
The immersion stick has the same amount of power as my Cuisinart SmartStick(tm), but the former has more attachments, making it a more versatile, useful appliance. While the SmartStick (tm) has limited speeds, the Frigidaire has variable speeds and a TURBO setting. Frigidaire's model is heavier in the hand than the Cuisinart's version. With fewer parts, the Cuisinart is easier to clean-up, but the Frigidaire can do more for your various blending, whipping, chopping, and mixing needs.
With that said, neither of these does what my Miallegro 9090 Mitutto 550-Watt Immersion Hand Blender, Professional-style can do. And it doesn't need to rest until the work is done. This one is about 53% of the cost of the Frigidaire model. The Cuisinart SmartStick(tm) is 27% of the price of the Frigidaire.
THE BOTTOM LINE
So what does all this mean? If you do a lot of food prep, and for more than a couple of people, and time and appliance power are important, get a model that doesn't need to 'nap' in between work sessions.
If you are cooking for just one or two, but the priorities are space-saving and multiple-use appliances, and your time is not important, the Frigidaire Professional Immersion Hand Blender/Mixer is perfect for your needs. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Many of us home cooks use immersion blenders--the convenience of pureeing hot food right in the pot certainly beats ladling out hot soup into a blender pitcher and making sure you don't get splashed if you filled it too full. And you don't have to batch the pureeing process or wash out the pitcher. That's why these hand-held blenders are so popular.
This blender by Frididaire is not like the original ones by Braun or other manufacturers. The stem is steel, the speed is variable and it has attachments and even an LED readout. The extra-long stem means you can puree in a deeper vessel. It's stainless steel, which cleans up well (no oily residue; oils tend to stick to plastic and you really have to wash thoroughly with detergent to get plastic items squeaky clean.)
The blade is a new design, that creates vortices and has sharp knife edges. (A triple blade, not the usual single blade sharpened on two opposite sides.)
There is an extra-large chopping beaker, for chopping fruits and veggies.
You can select nine different speeds or hit the "turbo" button for max power right out of the gate. They claim you can crush ice with this but I haven't tried that out yet.
It comes with a dual whisk, sort of a hybrid between the old dual-beater designs of handheld beaters and a single wire whisk; this works REALLY well on egg whites. (One of my tests.)
It makes very smooth "smoothies" in the beaker. I haven't had occasion to try pureeing a large pot of lentil or bean soup, but I am sure it will come in handy when I make up some this fall.
The bottom line? If you want a professional immersion blender and are willing to spend two to three times the cost of a basic unit, you'll get a lot of function and control as well as versatility. A very impressive design.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I used to use the Miallegro 9080 Mitutto 450-Watt Immersion Hand Blender, so any comparisons is based on my experience with that product. I must say I am impressed with how smooth my dips and soups are coming out with this Frigidaire. My Miallegro would still leave things somewhat grainy or tiny flecks of herbs left, but things get much more pulverized/mixed with this Frigidaire. I like that the gaps in the metal at the base of the immersion blender arm are bigger than the Miallegro so it allows larger chunks to get pulled in through the gaps and chopped up without having to tilt the end of blender around to fit chunks under the blade to chop it up. Being able to keep the blender upright instead of tilting cuts back on the splashback a bit. The arm gives you about 7.5" blending depth to work with the Miallegro only gave about 6.5". With the gaps larger at the bottom, I also find it easier to work a sponge around the blade when I want to wash it.One drawback for me is the Frigidaire is wider at the base, so you might not be able to fit it to the bottom of some containers you used to mix in before. My Miallegro required 2-5/8" diameter clearance, the Frigidaire needs 3-3/8" at least.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is the third immersion blender we've used over the past six or so years (the others are still working and being used in different parts of the house). It's also the one that seems designed to be used by heavy-duty users and/or professional chefs/cooks (as in a restaurant or other type of professional establishment).Depending on your needs and usage, this is either overpriced overkill or one of the best additions to your food-prep appliance line-up.
From my perspective as an at-home, non-commercial cook who uses an immersion blender several times a week, here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
* Clean, stylized design. Most folks would have no problem keeping this on display (A plastic vertical, wall mounting unit is included.)
* Ease of adding and using attachments. Unlike some immersion blenders, the whipping whisks and the main knife piece are easily attached to and deattached from the power base.
The extra long 10-inch knife attachment is a plus or minus depending on the type/size of vessel that contains what you are trying to blend.
* Sturdy--and substantial. The main unit and the attachments (especially the knife, which is the most heavy-duty type I've ever used) don't feel as if they will fall apart with frequent use. As always, a lot depends on how you treat items. We haven't dropped any of our other immersion blenders but the other two seem as if they would break a bit on hard impact, from a fall or otherwise. Not this unit!
* Power: You can vary the blender attachment speed from low to high and it also includes a Turbo setting. We make a lot of soups and even the low speed made for fast, smooth (and spatter-proof) blending. Easy cleanup.
You can also chop ice with the tri-blade knife and this is a feature I really use as it is faster (and requires less cleanup) than doing it in our old-style vertical blender.
* Versatile: You've got the all the traditional uses with the knife and then there are the two whisks (Secured into a separate mounter that is easily attached to the power unit.)
* Accessories: The tall pitcher makes it easy to blend/pour liquids (and we've also used it when whisking as well.) And I'm glad that it comes with a separate, extra large dual blade chopper unit as we are always looking for ways to avoid using our Cuisinart(heavy to drag out; a pain to clean as we don't have a dishwasher.)
Depending on content, using the tall blending pitcher allows for some quick smoothies. And again, fast cleanup.
Cons:
* Size/weight: The extra-long knife attachment paired with the heavy power unit could make it less comfortable to use for some folks. However, given the speed of the unit, and average home-cook use, I doubt you'd have to use it long enough to have your hand get really tired. But it may be a consideration for some, so I point it out.
* You need to be sure you're using a deep enough container when using the Turbo speed or you could have some splashing/mess. Also, you've got to hold the unit very firmly on Turbo or, again, a possible messy situation. In general, a firm grip is essential.
* Cost: It's high for average home-cook use given other options on market. But, if your needs are heavy-duty in terms of both frequency and types of things you cook, it could be a solid investment piece for your kitchen.
Why four, not five stars given all the pros? One basic consideration: Price. However, to repeat, if I were a professional chef or someone who prepared a lot more food (volume and frequency), this would be five-stars as this would be a good investment piece.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have a large family and use an immersion blender almost daily.I to have gone through several hand blenders, the last, before this one is the Kitchen aid immersion blender that I bought here on Amazon last year. It was around $100.00 then, this one for $25.00 more has what I feel to be of an equal quality construction wise, it is solid but a little bit lighter (easier on the wrists) & has all the bells & whistles that did not come with the Kitchen aid like the beater attachments, ice crusher etc... One of the big differences even though both are stainless steel on the immersion part is that the Kitchen aid is more top heavy!! It has fallen over sooo many times & splattered stuff EVERYWHERE while setting it down for a second when adding ingredients to whatever concoction I was blending at the moment.
This Frigidare has a much more stable base on the end where the blades are located (it has 3 blades as opposed to the Kitchen aid's 2 blade system) and it has about 2" more on the neck so it can blend into deeper containers all the way to the bottom. I have read people say that it is good for small families as it has "wait" times when on turbo speed & others said it was good for small retail establishments like cupcake bakeries. I think this is good for ANYONE wanting a good quality versatile immersion blender. I like it much better than my Kitchenaid which I would put into the same quality/price range category as this one.
It does so much more and it is lighter, longer, and most important of all MORE STABLE!! No more flying food splatters, YAY Frigidare!

I will most likely buy more of these.I've never had a grapefruit until a couple of months ago. It was at that time I discovered you really can't eat it without the special grapefruit spoon. As a total grapefruit novice, I don't really know what constitutes a great spoon and a bad one. All I know is that these worked perfectly. I guess you could maybe find a nicer quality but it works and doesn't bend when slicing out the fruit. Not sure what more I would want? And, I wouldn't be horrified if a houseguest used it, so they're not that terrible.Works as advertised!

This comes with sharp edges to get the good stuff out of the grapefruit, however, it may also cut into your tongue.Read Best Reviews of Set of 4 Grapefruit Spoons with Serrated and Pointed Edges Here
These grapefruit spoons work wonderfully. There really isn't anything aesthetically pleasing about them, and they came with stickers with barcodes on EACH spoon. These weren't any ordinary stickers. It took me 5-10 minutes and a lot of patience to take each sticker off. Other than that, These were definitely worth what I paid.Want Set of 4 Grapefruit Spoons with Serrated and Pointed Edges Discount?

I've been looking for one of these for years. My mother has one and we haven't been able to find one in any of the local stores (for a reasonable price). I finally found these and I bought the 2 pack so I could give one to my sister. It's perfect!Read Best Reviews of Rada Cutlery Aluminum Food Chopper, Made in USA, Kwik-Kut (Package of 2) Here
I have several of these choppers as my daughter needs her food chopped fine to be able to eat it. It can chop just about anything in just about no time. I've had one for 40 years and still use it with the many others I have. They do get dull with the chopping I do, but I use a knife sharpener and they are fine. I like to have several around but have not been able to find them in stores here so decided to look on Amazon! Thanks Amazon!Want Rada Cutlery Aluminum Food Chopper, Made in USA, Kwik-Kut (Package of 2) Discount?
These cutters are great. They chop up ground meat as small as you want. Particularly great for the meat in spaghetti sauce. One problem: Don't use them on Teflon. Otherwise, I strongly recommend them.Fortessa Apollo 18/10 Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 1, 5-Piece
This is a beautiful set of 18/10 stainless steel flatware. Being 18/10 was a big part of my decision in determining which set to purchase, as I did not want to waste money on something that would rust. These are also very solid/durable pieces. I found a great deal for a set of 8 at another online retailer. The teaspoon in this set is 5 1/4" long, the table spoon is 7 1/4", the knife is 9 1/4", the dinner fork is 8", and the salad fork is 7 1/8" long. The salad forks are the size of my previous set of dinner forks, and they are great as salad or lunch forks. The dinner forks are substantial European sized forks. The teaspoons are very small; perhaps the smallest teaspoons in a set I've ever seen. The teaspoons are still useful as coffee/espresso spoons and dessert spoons, but I don't like them for eating cereal. So some of my flatware pairing habits are changing to meet the attributes of this new set.
The hammered appearance is lovely, and I like the mirror finish. I did notice a couple of spots that did not get polished on the back side where the fork handle meets the base. The knives have shallower indentations for the hammered appearance. It isn't noticeable from afar, but you can tell that the hammer marks are not as deep.
Overall, this is a beautiful set of flatware at a reasonable price. The quality is very good. I could have spent a fortune on some hammered Vera Wang by Wedgewood, but I'd be afraid to use it. I am looking for some coordinating serving pieces. Since Foressa does not make coordinating pieces, I may try Ginkgo. The teaspoon is more like a demitasse size, the salad fork is a reg fork size, the reg fork is very large, the knife is larger than normal....I am returning this item....I would like to add that the quality is very nice and a very nice weight but the sizes are a problem....it would be impossible to use the "teaspoon" for soup or cereral or oatmeal or fruit ....just way toooooo small and the tablespoon way too big.

Chicago Cutlery DesignPro Santoku Knives, 7-Inch
This knife is fantastic. At first I thought I wouldn't like the handle on this knife as I'm used to wood handles. Turns out this was a great fit, I have small hands so sometimes my hands get tired when doing a lot of chopping but the grip on the knife was great and easy to hold and use without having to put too much pressure on it. As a pastry chef we don't use our knives as much as savory chefs but this knife is truly great, food slides right off the knife instead of sticking to the blade and it's SUPER sharp. We love this knife. It is heavyweight and very sharp. The grip and feel is well balanced and easy to use whether deboning a cut of meat or slicing through a cooked brisket it performs very well. While the plastic cover is ok, we threw that away and have it stored in a drawer wooden block. We are gradually replacing all of our kitchen knives with this brand. We just wish that their scissors didn't have those protrusions below the handle (or we'd buy them too).We strongly recommend this knife to our friends.
