I've used a Chantry sharpener for 20+ years with great results.Just a few strokes and your knives are sharp again.This model,although it looks the same,is different.The sharpening rods on my old one rolled when you pulled a blade through the notch.These do not.So far I am not pleased with this unit,but I'll try it a few more times before I go back to the Chef's Choice electric completely.It always gets my knives razor sharp.Kitchen,hunting or tactical.

These steak knifes are really heavy duty. They have wider handles than your usual steak knifes which makes it easy to get a very firm grip on them. They are VERY sharp and the blade is also way bigger than a normal steak knife which makes for a precise clean cut through your meats.
I've been using my Bentgo for a few days and, generally, it's great... nicely sized, cleans up easily, and works well in the microwave. The product's one weakness is that the containers are not leakprook (as noted in the product description). This prevents you from using it for things like soup, stews, fruits in liquid, etc. Fix this flaw and it would be perfect.

It's hard to go wrong with any Henckels knife. That said, I read other reviews and thought that this knife would be an improvement for cutting vegetables for my salads. Wrong. The serrated blade tends to shred mushrooms rather than cut them thinly, and my tomatoes, also fairly soft, get mushy in the cutting. So, for softer items, this knife loses a star with me. On the other hand, it slices firmer items just fine, such as bread, sandwiches, meats, onions and celery and semi-ripe avocados. Again, though, I had no luck slicing anything thinly with this knife. Here is information from the tag which is helpful: (1) micro-serrated edge; (2) heavy weight stamped; (3) triple riveted handles with stainless rivets; (4) fully visible tang construction; (5) breakproof, dishwasher safe (handwashing recommended); (6) made in Thailand; (7) contour black polypropylene handle and (8) fully guaranteed against defects in material and/or craftsmanship. I was going to go for a cheaper tray, but this came with free shipping, so it was worth a few extra dollars. Now that I have it, I'm glad I went with this product. It may just be a tray, but it's got style. Also, it's a treat for the fingertips. You could put rusty spoons in here, or not rusty as you prefer. I worried it might be too large for my drawer, but it's a perfect fit.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased this exact knife. The first lasted 15 years. Great serrated edge that never needs sharpening. Great knife to use for nearly every occasion short of chopping actual bone.
I have owned this particular knife for 5 years now and it is one of my favorite and most useful knives. As a professional chef, i own several boning and filet knives both curved, straight,and stiff and flexible. At 7 inches it is long enough tobe used for everything from trimming tenderloins to cutting through tuna loins. it has a decent heft and the handle is large enough to fit my hand (a problem i found in other knives) another feature i enjoyed with this knife is how smooth itis without any crevices to harbor microorganisms in its handle or bolster. My girlfriend on the other hand finds the blade a bit too long for use in our home. prefering the 5.5 inch pro s boning knife. I also enjoy the slight flex in the blade it allows me to use knife in situations suitable for either a flexible or a stiff bone. All in all it is extremely useful in a professional kitchen and not a necessity in a home kitchen but it is very nice to have in both settings.

I'll admit it up front; I'm a hardcore Henckel's fan. I know there are more expensive knives out there, but I prefer these. I purchased this knife to replace one, that I suspect, went out to recycling with a pizza box. It's got a great edge on it. I find myself reaching for it more than my santoku's now. It's a bit lightweight though. If it weren't for that, I'd gladly give it a 5-star rating.
Very pleased with this grinder. Have had it now for a few months and essentially had bought it to make cat food. It grinds up chicken thigh bones without a problem and that was one of my main concerns that it be powerful enough to do so. We have also started to use it to "make" our own hamburger which once you start doing that you will never go back to store bought. The rate at which it grinds up food is fast. I found I had to have all my meat ready to feed because it ground just that quickly. The machine itself is sort of heavy, but I generally do not have problems lifting it. It cleans up nicely, I do use my bottle brush for some of the pieces to make sure and get to those hard to reach places. I would certainly recommend this machine to others!

This works fine so far and seems to be a quality unit. Be sure to read the short instruction sheet as you have to coarse grind first before you can fine grind. If you skip that step you will be sorry. Also you will need to buy a plate larger than 3/8. You cannot drop the meat in one step unless you use a coarse grind plate first which I do now BTW. Just bought one of these bad boys direct from LEM (sorry Amazon). This is an absolutely amazing grinder. I bought three 5 lb pork shoulders, sliced 'em into 2" wide and thick strips and chilled 'em for 30 minutes in the freezer. This grinder gobbled 'em up as fast as I could throw 'em down its throat. My first time to try making sausages in the last 35 years and it was really a learning experience. Now I've got 15 pounds of UGLY sausages. Should taste pretty good though. Also bought an MTN 7 lb stuffer if you want to see my review of that. Anyway the "Big Bite" auger works extremely well just as advertised. I recommend this grinder. I purchased this grinder to make my own cat food. Its perfect for grinding small chicken bones which is what I wanted it for. I wouldn't recommend it for larger bones. I love it. It is very heavy but that's not a problem.

This is an excellent knife given the right conditions. If you find yourself cooking large roasts of any sort, this is the knife to carve with.
This is an okay product, especially for the money. But you have to be careful with it, since it tends to veer a little to one side when you cut. On the other hand, I have a much more expensive knife that does the same thing.
This is a large sized stone with a good non slip base. The honing surface is reasonably thick, and very uniform. A minute of honing will turn a factory edge into a razor edge. No gimmicks, no bull. You see the results of your effort right now, and quickly learn to fine tune your technique. Unless you have very badly abused blades, this stone and a good steel will be all you need to keep an envious edge on your knives.
