Nice and sturdy roll, however the pockets are a bit small. Barely could get some of the knife handles into the pockets. Or maybe the blade should be inserted into the pocket. When I tried that the tips of the knives protruded through the fabric. Makes it dangerous to insert and remove the tools because of the tight fit. this was a good item and you sirvice and shipping was very goodFox Run Poultry Shears, Stainless Steel
I first found out what these were for when I was working in a Kosher Take out place on 108th Street in Forest Hills, NY, called Berso Kosher Foods. While still in Highschool, I coulsd not wait to get to work and slice up some barbequed chickens with these sheers for our customer at $4.95/hr. It was quite an experience. Now that I am all grown up and make my own rotisserie chicken at home, I like using these same exact sheers to slice up my chicken for my family. The shears work great for bone and meat. They do not cut skin or fat very well as the blades do not scrap against each other strongly. I will try sharpening the blades and see if that helps. The one down side is the handle lock is poorly designed but I can live with this.
Oneida Satin Aquarius 20-Piece Stainless Flatware Set, Service for 4
Oneida silverware are the best in the market. Durable, stays in good visual standing for years and the warranty on them is excellent.Very durable high quality silverware. I had a set I received as a wedding gift and wanted more to match. These were perfect except that the twist part has a satin finish instead of shiny like my other set but it still looks nice and the difference isnt really that noticable. These have lasted through the dish washer a million times and still look new. I will definitely by these again if we need more as they are very comfortable to hold and their weight feels very high quality. I hate silverware with pointy handles that jab into the palm of your hand when your trying to cut a piece of steak. Thank you for the best design i have ever seen on silverware, Oneida!!Buy Oneida Satin Aquarius 20-Piece Stainless Flatware Set, Service for 4 Now

United UC1337 Knife Storage Case Small Holds 15 Knives
This knife case is not what I expected. A lot of my knives have wider blades (i.e. wider handles) and there wasn't enough elastic to accompany all of them. If you have a bunch of small knives like kershaw leeks, butterfly knives, etc--this would be perfect for that. But when I was putting in my SOG Vulcan VL-03, Benchmade Barrage and Spyderco knives, the elastic just wouldn't stretch anymore. It's not like each knife has it's own little band of elastic. For 4 knives, it's the same 2 strips (side by side) of elastic, so if you put in a large knife, it's going to pull the other 3 slots of elastic tighter. I hope that makes sense, it's hard to describe. For the price, it's not that bad, but is definately room for improvement.**I posted pictures as well to show what I'm talking aboutThis case looks great online and once i got it and tried putting my knives in it not all of them fit because there was only a limited amount of slack in the elastic. So i had to improvise and all my knives have pocket clips so i clipped them onto the elastic bands instead of having the bands hold them into place. The case itself is very nice and it will do a great job at protecting your knives from scratches and it is also a very nice display case once you have it opened.

I have 8 knives,,each on stand by for EDC...I'm not a knife collector,,but wanted a small nice looking case to keep my great 8 protected and dust free..This case does the job....Elastic holds em down....Red cover cloth keeps em scratch free...The "leather feeling" material has a nice look and touch....The little packet that comes inside of the case (seals out moisture)I leave it in there with the knives....
This can hold 15 or 16 small to medium sized knives (I wouldn't fit a knife that was over "5 inches closed" inside)......Overall Great Case

The product itself is not bad but it will not hold larger knives easily. I have a few different SOG, Benchmade, and Boker knives that fit, but pull the elastic so tight that fewer than 10 knives fit total.Want United UC1337 Knife Storage Case Small Holds 15 Knives Discount?
Will hope 15 knives or more depending on size. I use it for small antique pen knives. Definitely worth the money.Gray Flannel 6-Piece Silverware / Flatware Place Setting Roll
Love it! I have all my flatware in order and in good condition all the time. These are great. I used to keep all my siverplate, serving pieces, and napkin rings in a silverware box that was so big it had to be put in a closet where it quickly got stacked with "stuff" or put up too high to get without a stepstool. It seemed more bother than it was worth to use. Now all my pieces are close by and fit neatly in a smaller plasic container that fits in the cupboard with the good china. It was so easy to set the table for my last dinner party with the "good stuff". I especially like that I can pull out just the number of place settings that I need without having to bring out the entire service. I haven't had them long enough to see how well they prevent tarnish, but they definitely are convenient and keep the silverplate from getting scratched.Buy Gray Flannel 6-Piece Silverware / Flatware Place Setting Roll Now
My only complaint is the price. For 12 place settings of silver, & the wraps at $10. ea., makes the purchase over $120. just for wraps. Otherwise, an excellent product.Read Best Reviews of Gray Flannel 6-Piece Silverware / Flatware Place Setting Roll Here
Purchased two of these flannel flatware holders. They will serve the purpose we had in mind, keeping our knives, forks and spoons from making a racket as we drive down the road in our class B. Somehow, I had pictured them to be a thicker material, even though the advertisement mad no such claim. Ours arrives somewhat damaged, thanks to the post office sorting machine, but still quite useable.Want Gray Flannel 6-Piece Silverware / Flatware Place Setting Roll Discount?
Sasaki Drama 45-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8
I was looking for a modern contemporary flatware set that was affordable and yet stayed true to its modern/contemporary feel. This set is beautiful! I took a bit of a risk since I could not find reviews anywhere about this particular product. I have seen other Sasaki sets prior and it was all based on the consumer style preference. The handle is a brushed stainless steal finish and the top is a polished finish. They are a good weight, not too heavy. They have a somewhat thin handle, but not flimy. Also, if you are looking for the modern/contemporary sleek look you will definitely find it with this set but keep in mind that they are actually quite large pieces. I would probably use the salad fork for everyday use and not the dinner fork. The serving set included with the flatware set is also just as stunning. The set is dramatic looking, but horrible to use. The spoons are actually as deep as they look and do not fit your mouth well. They are shaped more like measuring spoons. I considered returning them, but will just donate them to charity instead.

Well I love these for the great colors which is what I wanted.. and of course they are dishwasher safe etc.. on the downside they are clunky and the teaspoons are almost the size of an average soup spoon. I ordered 4 sets of these at once in different colors.. I might not have done so given the downside but that is a matter of taste..the colors are delicious indeed.Nothing not to like, if you like Fiesta, these are sturdy and pretty. A great compliment to Fiestaware! Good quality for the money; knives are not sharp enough to cut easily and the handles will take a little more room in the dishwasher and/or silverware rack. However, they are well-made and a fun addition to the table setting!Gibson Black Rose 28-Piece Combo Set, Black
I was a bit unsure when buying these because they had no reviews and other sets had some really bad reviews but this is a great set! At the price I was expecting at least SOMETHING to be cheaply made but everything feels pretty solid. The only real complaint is that the handles are a little skinny on the mugs but it's not a huge deal.I have not used these in a dishwasher but I've used them many times in the microwave with no problems.

Ths little knife is remarkably handy. Be aware that it is razor sharp and needs to be treated with respect and care.Out of the 30 + Henckels I have this is my favorite knife. I use it everyday, 2 or 3 times a day. I keep reading about other knives being better than Henckel, but I haven't any complaints in my 40 years of using them. The secret with any knife is to run it across the rod several times, each time you use it. IF you do that, they will rarely need sharpening. My only recommendation here, is to avoid using it in case you are a beginner in the kitchen. This knife is built to be used cutting while holding the vegetables / fruits / etc in your hand rather than on a cutting board.Do yourself a favor, and in case you are not comfortable cutting while holding the subject in your hands, stick to normal knives.
Wusthof Classic Hollow Edge Chef's Knife
I bought a set of 3 Wusthof knives for my father for Christmas. My boyfriend started complaining about the lack of a good knife in our house, and my dad seemed really happy with the Wusthofs, so I thought this would be a good choice for his birthday.I have 3 ceramic knives that I love, but they're more fragile then I expected, so he won't use them. This Wusthof knife is just awesome. Heavy duty, nicely weighted and feels great in the hand. Perfect balance. It's a universal kind of knife that will feel comfortable for just about anyone. I'm used to putting some pressure into cutting things, especially sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. With this, it just slices right through it, with no effort. A gorgeous cutting experience.
The only warning I'll give, this knife is SHARP. Be extremely careful, because I have no doubt it will chop thru your finger just as easily as it will slide thru a tomato! Otherwise, take care of it, and it will last a lifetime.I bought this knife for my husband for christmas.

I would give this knife 5 stars. I love it.The supplier I bought it from, though, is just okay. Maybe 3 stars. The price was great, so that's good. But shipping was very slow, especially considering I paid extra for expedited shipping. And when I contacted them with concerns about shipping time, I never received a reply. Everything worked out fine in the end, and I love the new knife, but I might be leery about ordering from them again, especially on bigger items.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He used it last night and said it cut through our chateaubriand like butter. He was also impressed that the metal come through to the end of the handle because in his eyes that makes a better knife. He also likes the one edge because when cutting veggies etc nothing sticks to the side...just falls to the side. So glad I made this purchase!Very nice product at a good price. It gets me lots of compliments (that one and other Kai Pure Komachi knives). I would buy again but I would expect a little less next time. I love the sleeve it comes with. I have been using the reviews on Amazon to decide what to buy, and I guess I should give some reviews back to the community, so here goes my first review.Price: It is about %50 more expensive than other comparable products. Since I am the first to review this product, I assume the higher cost is due to it being a new line. However, it is also heavier than other comparable sets, so it may be more expensive because of that.
Weight: I wanted a heavy set, so I looked at the shipping weight to determine which one was heavier, and this was among the heaviest in its class. But it is not so heavy that it would be hard for my toddlers to handle.
Weight Distribution: The weight distribution is towards the end of the handle, which is what you would want, since when you put food item on the tip, the food and the end of the handle balance each other. This makes it easy to maneuver from dish to mouth.
Color: It is not as light colord as aluminum but not as dark colored as titanium. Somewhere in between, giving it a classier look.
Design: The four indentations in the handle are actually holes, which may not be clear from the picture. The two crossed swords make the four holes. Holes are better than indentations, since they would be easier to wash. Food tends to get stuck in the corners of indentations. However, you still may need some care to clean through the holes. They are large enough though so that should not be much of an issue.
Fit: The handle fits well in the hand, and the curved middle part of the handle is a pleasure compared to other flat handles. The flat handle gives more control, but its edge could be uncomfortable at times. This is very comfortable, and the end of the handle provides adequate control and stops the utensil from spinning with unbalanced food on it.
Strength: These are very solid, especially the fork points, which often is the first part to bend. Unlike other designs, there will be no bending with these spoons. Since the handle is round and not flat, it will not bend with the usual eating activity.
Material: Of course, it is 18/10 so it is solid and will last a long time. They did not go cheap with using material in this, so the spoon, fork, knife, all are thick yet elegant from end to end.
Storage: The holes can be used to hang these up. But if you want to lay them down on top of each other, the end of the handles are thicker than the other end, so they don't sit well on top of each other.
Final Impression: My kids love them as I do. They are heavy and unique looking. They are more expensive than other comparable sets but I will be using them for years, so a little more for something nicer is worth it.
I hope this helps. This is great flatware set for the price. It has great balance, and you can see and feel the quality. I hope they didn't discontinue this as I might buy another..

Wusthof Classic Ikon Sandwich Knife
The knife is great. This is a very useful size too and not just for sandwiches also for carving meat and so on. This knife cuts well like all Wusthof knives do. Long lasting, well balanced and easy to clean, plus it is made in Germany. I like the handle of the Ikon series because it looks good. I think the knives of the Ikon and Classic series are equal in their performance and quality but the handle of the Ikon series just looks a bit more elegant. All of my Wusthof knives are black except for this one. You might think that is odd that my knives don't match but I actually like it this way, this knife is easy to identify in the knife block. However, I was really excited about this color, I thought it would look quite elegant and extraordinary. But really it does not. Personally I think it looks cheap compared to the black ones. It really looks like a plastic handle, also scratches show easily. That does not affect the performance of the knife and is just my personal opinion. I just wanted to mention it in case you consider buying a whole set in this color. Make sure you see it in person first. Other than that it is a great knife and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the color.Victorinox 7-Inch Granton Edge Santoku Knife, Rosewood Handle
I cant tell you how much I love this knife.I have been working in kitchens since I was 15 (I'm 26 now) so I have been through a few knives.for the price I cant fault it.The knives I usually use are Wustof or Global.they are amazing knives and are of very good quality.the down side is they can be very hard to maintain, and when you lose the edge it will be very difficult to get back, near impossible if you don't know what you are doing, but this knife is so easy to sharpen to almost scalpel sharpness.the blade is very thin so I'm always using it on veg and fish and other very delicate tasks. It does feel like a cheaper steel but then again I think it matches the price. There are a lot of chefs just out of culinary school in my restaurant who buy the best of the best but they do their knives no justice.I have only had the knife for four months,I'm not expecting lifetime usage out of it,but think about this,if you walked into a professional kitchen and see a 10 year classically trained vet' using a cheaper knife compared to a wet behind the ears just out culinary school Gordon Ramsay wannabe using top of the range knife, you just have to think to yourself, why is the better cook using a cheaper knife?I'm only giving it 4 stars because it is only my second santoku knife and I still like the western style chef knives just for that rocking motion you can achieve.other than that, the Japanese know what they are doing and they have kick ass style of knives.Victorinox 7-Inch Granton Edge Santoku Knife, Rosewood Handle
I've owned Victorinox knives for a long time, when my french knife finally had to be put down (I loved that knife, had it for 16 yrs.) I bought a 7" Santoku with the Rosewood handle. Flawless performance, superlight, razor sharp, easy to hone/sharpen, this has become an instant favorite. Nimble and accurate, EFFORTLESS to use, let me emphasize that again, EFFORTLESS to use!!! I'm not a pro chef, but I do a lot of cooking, and this knife delivers like no other. It is hands down, the most bang for the buck value available in any kitchen knife. If you want to spend a pile money just to say that you have latest "it" knife, by all means, go right ahead, if you would like to get a high quality knife that just performs and aren't worried the least bit by what some cooking school geek says or what the food show personalities use, this is the knife to get. The entire line of Victorinox knives are equally as good. I also highly recommend their bread knives. The 8'' French knives, with the fibrox handles, are used in more commercial kitchens than any other brand. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed, and if you are, well.........take a cooking class!

I have cooked a great deal of food over the past 35 years. Sometimes I've cooked for 100+ people. I've also had summers where every dinner served at least 12 people.I am also a writer, and have advocated the use of good (sharp) knives many times. I've mainly preferred the Japanese made Santoku knives. I used a steeling stick often to keep the nicks and bumps out and never put them in the washing machine.
My knives would frighten my friends when they watched me cook.
Heck, I didn't know what a knife was until I got this one!
It used to be that, even though my knife would slice easily through vegetables, I could always "feel" the cutting action. Even when I could hold a leek over a garbage can and cut off the end section in one go.
But THIS KNIFE! Like BUTTER! I'm getting verklempt! I cut through vegetables and have to look to see the slice, because I feel NOTHING! I've never been able to slice through potatos as if I were cutting through, not butter, but AIR! AND, the potatos didn't stick to the knife, the way they usually do.
I've got a lot of knife replacing to do!
PS I used to use 8-inch knives, and I do plan to purchase some, but the 7-inch size is very nice and light feeling.

This knife is perfectly balanced in your hand. I didn't know what "perfectly balanced" really meant until I held this knife. The rosewood handle not only looks good, but is extremely comfortable. The blade, as with all Victorinox knives is razor sharp. If you haven't bought a Victorinox kitchen knife before, but have a few Swiss army knives, the sharpness does not compare. The kitchen knives are infinitely sharper out of the box. If I had to compare this blade edge to a pocket knife out of the box, I would say it's in the same category as Spyderco blades. You will not be disappointed with this knife and it will quickly become your "go-to" knife when you need one in the kitchen. To give you one example of how sharp it is, it cuts through a stick of frozen butter as if it were a stick sitting out on the counter at room temperature. And don't let the sharpness scare you off. The sharper the blade, the less force it takes to make your cut and with less force there is less chance that the blade will slip.I should also mention my wife used to be a chef so she has a bag of high quality kitchen knives, BUT she always grabs for this one when she makes anything! It is a super light, yet high quality knife.

I love this knife. Very very sharp, and keeps an edge well. I also have the bread knife and 8 inch chef's knife. The handle on this knife is a bit smaller than the handle for the chef's knife, so if you've got smaller hands, it might be easier to handle.LamsonSharp 10-Piece Forged Knife Set with Block
I remember as a kid my dad had a carving knife by LamsonSharp. He'd take it out for thanksgiving and easter and then hand wash and dry it and put it away in it's case. He was a meat cutter so he knew knives. These knives are cast, not stamped, so they feel solid without a lot of flex. They are heavier than low quality knives but not too heavy. The rosewood handle is thick enough that the handles feel more square than cheaper knives (which tend to be flatter). This makes them very easy to hold. They cut through things like a warm knife would cut through butter. Even my wife is impressed by their ease of use.
These are expensive but over the past 25 years we have bought and thrown away dozens of knives. In the long run these should be practical and we'll pass them onto our kids. The factory offers to replace any that become worn or damaged, and to resharpen them for free so there will be no reason to ever throw them away. I researched and purchased the calphalon knife set. It is nicely weighted, however, I do not know how to hone knives. If I had puchased these, I could have sent them back to be honed. Will be replacing my knives with the Lamson.

I got tired of getting by with cheap knives, and trying to bargain hunt when always, always, you get what you pay for at least when it comes to this kind of product. I've given Lamson carving sets as gifts, ignoring superstition, and gotten appreciation years later. People remember when you believe they deserve top quality.I got these about a year ago. They work as new. No chips, dullness, and we are dedicated home cookers. We don't dishwasher them just in case it might age the handles, but that's probably obsessive. I think the six inch was judged the finest knife of its kind in a magazine, Bon Apetite? That's my go-to knife for most needs. The bread knife slices like you bought sliced bread. Haven't used the fileters but that's probably my cooking habits. The non-fileting blades are thick, can't say effortless. The balance and heft are extraordinary. Mine came with an extra, Japanese style knife that doesn't fit in the block. Seen it used on the cooking channel. Haven't found it useful for my style, doesn't fit in the block, but a nice knife regardless. Maybe it was a special. There are different handles. Mine is rosewood with a thick resin finish that seems quite waterproof. Make sure yours are drop forged. Lamson also makes stamped. The silvers, these, I think are their top of the line.
As a bonus, you are helping workers in the USA make a living wage. What a concept! If they ever dull, you can send them back and they'll make the factory sharp for the cost of shipping. As a lifetime purchase they're a bargain, and will bring a smile to your face every time you use them.

I was looking for a good set of knives and preferably made in the USA. The LamsonSharp 10 piece set arrived on time and the knives so far are very sharp and seem to hold a good sharp edge. I bought the kitchen shears separately and this was an excellent buy. The Rosewood handles are beautiful, particularly after I applied mineral oil. I didn't give this a 5-star rating because the block that comes with the set is a bit front heavy or light heavy in the back which allow the set in the block to tip forward if you are not careful. This has not been a problem, however and I would buy the set again. I did contact the manufacturer three weeks ago about the block, but have not heard back yet.Want LamsonSharp 10-Piece Forged Knife Set with Block Discount?
Wusthof 4281 Oyster Knife
Works very well on the hinge approach as well as the side door approaches...very strong steel, hardly scratches it is so very hard a steel.....releases the suction needed to get the hinge open, then I use a thin sharp bladed paring knife to cut the muscle to complete the shuck. On the smaller and medium sized oysters, the Wusthof itself does the muscle cutting, but on the large oysters the paring knife adds the needed length of sharp cutting surface for muscle cut.All in all, very superior to any other oyster knife I have ever used for shucking. Well worth the added expense! Protects fingers too, with the shield. Appears so durable, it should last a lifetime. We love this knife. It's got a good weight and is very strong. Paired with some high quality gloves, it makes shucking easy.

I have, for several years, had a knife just like the one shown. It says, "F. Dick" on my blade. I would say that whoever is making this knife is makeing it for F. Dick & Co. and also Wusthoff. Both of these companies are in Germany. It is a really strong knife not like the puny Oxo knife.I never did learn how to shuck oysters.
