Le Creuset Stoneware Oval Serving Platter

Le Creuset Stoneware 16' Oval Serving Platter, MarseilleThe Le Creuset platter is beautiful and will provide a stunning culinary display; however, it is much smaller than I expected it to be.

I envisioned a large, heavy platter, since one set of measurements quoted it to be 16-1/2 by 14".

Unfortunately, instead of it being 14" wide, it is 11" wide. (Not 16-1/2 by 11 inches.)

I've measured every way, but I can't come up with their 14" width. Why do they provide two sets of measurements? Are they measuring the shipping box? Strange.

I previously read where someone placed a turkey on their platter. No way, this is way too small for that! Maybe cut-up turkey slices, but not a 12-pound turkey.

All in all, the Caribbean blue is gorgeous and the platter's high-gloss finish is silky smooth; however, I feel it is overpriced for its diminutive size.

I bought this platter six months ago and use it at least once a week. It's perfect for arranging appetizers that need to be heated in the oven. The literature reads 'microwave safe', but it is a tad too big for my microwave oven. And about the size, I agree, a turkey would seem disproportionate. Where they get the 14" measurement is indeed a mystery. It is 16 X 11, with the actual serving area being 12 X 7.5 inches, maybe sufficient for a roasted capon or a duck. This is a very attractive, versatile serving piece also durable. I would like one in every color!

The platter is gorgeous. It's not large enough for a huge turkey, but you're not supposed to purchase one that is over ten pounds anyway. Substantial piece. Le Creuset stoneware is top notch. For all the people complaining that it is made in China, so what. It may be made there but it is under the tight quality control that Le Creuset demands. I'd purchase again.

Although the first two platters were delivered damaged, Amazon made it super simple to return the item and the third time, alleluia, this beautiful platter arrived in one piece. We had originally ordered it for Thanksgiving but with the two previous contre-temps, it didn't happen so we'll be happy to use it for Christmas dinner. As with most Le Creuset product, quality is second to none. Very happy with our purchase.

Love the size. The handles make it so easy for serving, you don't have to try to balance the platter. Really nice quality now I want another one in a different color!!!

Yoshihiro Cutlery Hammered Damascus Sujihiki Chef Knife, 9.5-Inch

Yoshihiro Cutlery Hammered Damascus Sujihiki Chef Knife, 9.5-InchThese knives are great for cooks. They keep a sharp edge and they are easy to handle. I enjoy the balance of the knife and how it fits in my hand. I own 3 of Yoshihiro brand knives and I would like to get a few more soon. This particular knife I tend to use for slicing a variety of grilled meats. It is a must have.

i was really impressed with the quality and workmanship of the knife. i have had this knife in my possession for less than 4 months and the tip has broken off. I'm unhappy, sad and just irritated that it happened. i took very good care of my knife. i am especially unhappy of the fact that i can't contact the seller to verify my warranty. PLEASE IF YOU, THE SELLER HAPPENS TO READ THIS. let me know of a way to contact you or contact me to discuss warranty and even a replacement. Thank you so much

I am a morning prep chef and this knife does what it does well and more. I mainly use it for prepping Ahi Tuna loins, but it serves me especially well for butchering a whole salmon or just slicing portions of prime rib for service. When I have no questions in my knife's capabilities and I am proud to show it off... I know I have a keeper. I highly recommend this knife or another Yoshihiro knife to any fellow chefs or lovers of Japanese steel.

Wallace Queens 18/10 65-Piece Flatware Set

Wallace Queens 18/10 65-Piece Flatware SetThis is a higher end flatware set, well suited to fine china / elegant tabletops. Every piece is substantial in weight with a beautiful embossed design. Very nice 18/10 collection.

Not continental sized, and almost too formal in appearance for every day however that does depend on preference. We use this collection exclusively for entertaining.

( See uploaded photo )

To avoid ordering issues, we only purchase items described as "fulfilled by Amazon". Have had better experiences this way.

I am so impressed with how heavy this product is without losing the elegance of the pieces. It is very durable along with being a decorative piece to our dinner table. I have looked for a long time for a heavy flatwear that looks nice and could not find a set for less than $500-$1000. The picture does not do the set justice. It is beautiful.

I ordered these as a gift for my mom. She got them and said the box was full of metal chips and the finish on the silverware was covered in chips/pits. She said it looked like the shiny coating was chipping off and falling into the box. She said the chipped places were dark as if the silverware was actually made of lead. I don't even understand how that's possible given they are supposed to be stainless steel, not plated. This was embarrassing. We returned them.

This is the nicest set of flatware I've ever owned, and while it is not top of the line, it is a great deal for this price. It is service for 12 and each piece is substantial! The forks and the knives are huge! The pattern is very attractive. The picture doesn't show you that there is part of the pattern on the backsides of the spoons' bowls and the forks this adds a nice elegance to this set. There are 2 flares on the sides of the necks of each spoon and fork which add a nice touch but they are not uniform. If you're willing to overlook this minor flaw (which I am) it doesn't detract from the beauty of this set. One of the teaspoons had a small nick in its rim with a tiny, sharp metal spur, but I was able to use a metal nail file to gently remove the spur so no one's mouth or fingers would get scratched or cut. The only other minor flaw was some travel burnishing to the backs of the display pieces where they rubbed on the cardboard they were fastened to with coated wires. This is to be expected and it is barely discernable. I am very happy with this set and feel ready to serve a banquet!

Wenger Swibo Boning Knife, Curved Rigid Blade

Wenger Swibo 6-1/4-Inch Boning Knife, Curved Rigid BladeFor some reason, I grew up with this brand of knives in our house. My mom had better knives as well, but these were the "utility grade" knives. I always considered these to be commercial kitchen equipment. Durable and functional but not top-of-the-line quality. This was the go-to knife when boning or fileting.

When looking to equip a second home's kitchen, I was happy to find these on Amazon! Not only is it a very good knife for the money, it reminds me of my youth. I think it's a very good value and a fine product.

Godinger BRANDON CVRD BUTTER DISH

Godinger BRANDON CVRD BUTTER DISHThis very attractive butter dish with lid is a great buy. It does what it's supposed to do. It efficiently holds your butter whether you purchase the long, skinny Land O Lakes kind of cube or the normal width/length (Darigold) kind. The lid is tall and wide enough not to get smeared on its sides or mash the cube.

If you're unconvinced, thinking you'll get a better deal on another dish because this one seems a bit pricier than another you're looking at, be sure to read customer reviews. You'll discover that for reasons unknown some butter dish makers produce smaller sized lids. They do! None of us needs that kind of added frustration to our lives regardless of how trivial it seems. Silly? maybe, but having been "burned" by a squasher-smearer lid, I guarantee this is a feature you'll want to consider.

Beautiful. Just what I wanted. Arrived quickly in perfect shape.

They want ten more words. Well, let's see. This will look nice on my table. If they are going to be so picky, I will just quit rating products.

ForkChops, Honey Bee

ForkChops, Honey Beewhy can't I give a product zero stars, if it's an utter failure in its advertized purpose?

product is made of acrylic which means:

1. brittle, so the knife & fork need to be thick; so thick, they're useless for foods requiring knife & fork. Fork tines are so short, it's hard to use even as a scoop to lift food: forget about trying to pierce a piece of food!

2. also, being so brittle, it is ridiculous that the pieces are so long. Almost long enough for cooking.

3. top heavy, so chopsticks are very tiring to use. I believe most people would not be able to use such an unbalanced set: I happen to be a whiz with 'sticks, both Chinese & Japanese, table and cooking sizes. NOTE: These are Japanese style; if mfr had put any thought into it, they would have made them in Chinese style which most people find easier to use.

With the vast array of polymers, resins and alloys out there (PLUS composite construction), using this completely unsuitable material seems like an act of malfeasance to me.

Recieved this item very quickly. it works great. and is very sturdy. he is teaching his wife how to use chopsticks so this helps a lot for both of them. I bought two pairs and love both

Maxam? Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer with Suction Base

Maxam? Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer with Suction BaseI bought 7 already and may buy more in the future. I give them as gifts. Mostly when I give one to someone I get a funny look and then a few days later I get a call telling me they love it and want to know were I got it.

The slicer and peeler on this product works as good as others I have used. The only fault I have found is the suction up on the bottom. If placed just right on my counter it will hold but only through about 2-3 apples at best. Then I have to resuction it down because it looses its grip.

It works fine IF you have a super slick surface to attach it to and wet the rubber pad. There is a clip on the opposite end of the crank that won't stay on, so I have to make sure it's reassembled before each use.

Shun DMS286 Classic Knife Set, 2-Piece

Shun DMS286 Classic Knife Set, 2-PieceI bought this same combo off of Woot a couple of months ago. Interestingly the deal was for the same 8 inch chef and 6 inch serrated utility, but what arrived was the chef and a 6 inch regular utility. Another commenter on Woot had said they received a regular utility with their order on a previous sale, so who knows? Maybe this will be a regular utility also? Anyway, I really like the chef knife and believe it to be worth the deal price by itself the small knife is a bonus!

I own several Shun knives now, and have been very pleased with them. They are VERY sharp, and hold their edge well. These are not knives you want to sharpen yourself. I send my knives to Shun, and they take care of it. Including the serrated knives, which rarely need it.

I'm sorry, unless the price for both these knives is the same as the individual chef's knife (as a commenter pointed out), why would you pay for a serrated blade made out of high carbon steel? Serrated blades are nearly impossible to sharpen thus unless you are willing to spend hours with a set of diamond edged rat tailed files (which would cost more than these knives), most people in the know buy cheap serrated edges and throw them away when they are dull. Love Shun knives, can think of no reason for them to sell serrated knives...

Architec Gripperwood Hardwood Cutting Board, 8 by 11-Inch

Architec Gripperwood Hardwood Cutting Board, 8 by 11-InchI felt I took a chance buying this board with no picture and no reviews to tell me if it was good, or if it was what I wanted. Well, I was pleasantly surprised, it was exactly what I wanted. It has non-slip gripper pads on each corner to keep it up off the counter, and to keep it securely in place. It has a very large cutting area (almost too big for my counter space), even with the grooves around the edges to capture juices. It is very sturdy and made of a nice quality wood. Overall a very nice and inexpensive board.

ORIGINAL 2/17/09: I purchased this cutting board almost two years ago and have loved having such a large work surface, and I prefer wood boards over plastic so I was glad to find this size at such a good price. At first I loved the feet kept the board in place, even with rigorous chopping. However, right now, the middle sags to the point that the board rocks when sat on the counter. Could it be from overexposure to water, like when my husband thought it should soak like our pots and pans do? Sure. It could also just be a flaw of the design, with a heavy wood board not properly supported in the center. Hard to say. Either way, I will probably not buy any cutting board with feet again. If you are solely looking for a cutting board that will not move around on your counter, just buy a roll of grippy (but not adhesive) shelf liner and cut a swatch to slip between your non-footed cutting board and your counter it keeps the board in place, and you can fold it up and shove it in your drawer when you're done using your board.

EDIT 2/22/13: I bumped up my review to 5 stars from my original review of 3. I have continued using this cutting board for the past 3 years. I do not notice the rocking anymore, but it was stored for about 9-10 months without any use shortly after my original review. Not sure if it flattened back out during that time seems ridiculous to think that, but the board really does seem flatter than it used to. Anyway, I have been treating it with mineral oil every few months and it is holding up very well, even with near daily use.

I love the size, and love the fact that it is easy enough (size and weight) to store in my cabinet when not using it (I had purchased a 2" thick, very heavy 20x24 cutting board to replace this one, but didn't like leaving it out and it didn't fit in my cabinet). Overall I am very pleased with the Architec board and I would recommend it to others. Just don't soak it in water and you should be fine!

My large gripperwood board developed two large cracks in the wood in only one month of use. The board was never soaked in water and I even used lemon oil on the board to prevent this issue. I will be returning it.

The cutting board is raised from the surface by the rubber grippers. The one I got was broken within a day. Not sure if it arrived that way or if maybe it broke after we used it once. The center really needs support; perhaps with another strategically placed gripper. More protection when shipping may also be in order.

Pass on this product.....I bought this for my wife for her birthday on Oct 6. The board arrived promptly and good condition...kudos for amazon. The appearance was like I expected and she was excited. We used the board a few times for steak, chicken, a turkey and it worked fine.

Hand washed. Split within the month. Crud. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" certainly is applicable here. Now I have to buy another one. I will certainly pay up to get quality that will last.

Chicago Cutlery Insignia2 3-Piece Knife Set

Chicago Cutlery Insignia2 3-Piece Knife SetVery good knives at a very good price. Like similar, higher priced knives, hand washing is recommended. Chicago Cutlery merits consideration if you're in the market for these better quality knives.

The knives work fine. The polymer grips makes the knifes feel light weight. The edge on the blades are sharp, but rough. It looks like a low grit grind. It can cut paper, but the sound is of a blade that is sawing through the paper rather than slicing. I'm not a great or even good edge sharpner, but I was able to put a cleaner edge on the blade with some whetstones. The longer paring knife had an odd irregular shape to it. It just might be quality control of cheaper blades letting less than perfect items through. I only really noticed it because I sharpened the knives.

I do like the fact they included reusable transport/storage sleaves.

Ginsu Essentials Series Japanese 420J2 Stainless Steel 4.5-Inch Utility Knife 5103

Ginsu Essentials Series Japanese 420J2 Stainless Steel 4.5-Inch Utility Knife 5103Great knife. Cuts evenly and has a very nice edge for vegetables and meats. I would order a set of these again and I will probably order another set for my sister.

I needed a basic workhorse of a utility knife to replace a similar Ginsu that vanished during my last move. I didn't realize that the serrations on the knife are kind of, well, huge. My previous Ginsu utility knife had super fine serrations such that I could peel/slice/chop delicate foods without slaughtering them in the process. This knife, with its giant teeth, has a bit less usefulness to me. This is more of a steak knife with a point than an all-purpose utility knife.

You're getting what you pay for. Don't spend eight bucks on a knife and expect something special. It's fine, not great. It'll do.

Bunmei 4 inch Deba Knife

Bunmei 4 inch Deba KnifeThe knife just has fantastic steel and will take and keep an edge. The blade is wide enough to keep my knuckles off the cutting board, which I like. Am a knife guy and do most of the cooking at our house. Have had other deba style knives, but none with the steel of this brand. I love the one side taper on this style knife as it kicks away the last slice making room on the knife for the next. Having said that, it took a call to a knife shop for me to learn how to get a shaving edge with the one side taper. Now that have learned the trick it's no problem (I use ceramic to hone that edge). Personally, I do most of my kitchen chores now with this knife.

Tamahagane San Tsubame 5 inch Utility Knife

Tamahagane San Tsubame 5 inch Utility KnifeI recently bought three Tamahagane San Tsubame knives for my home kitchen. As a chef, I also cook at work, but I would never bring something this beautiful there. I have used a lot of knives in my life: Shuns, Wusthofs, Globals, Masahiros, Henkels, and the like. But of them all (and with the exception of my hand-made Damascus steel Yoshihiro) these are my favorites. They arrived hair-splitting sharp, the look quite magnificent, the balance on all three of my Tamahananes is perfect, and so is the craftsmanship. When cutting with these knives I don't so much cut with the knife as guide the blade as it falls through the food.

And as far as the seller, Metro Kitchen, their service was impeccable. They shipped my knives very promptly, they arrived in perfect new condition, and when I had a question for them about the shipping of one knife, they responded the same day.

In short, great knives, great service.

Cambridge Silversmiths Jubilee 20-Piece Set, Red

Cambridge Silversmiths Jubilee 20-Piece Set, RedI purchased this flatware to go with the "Apple" theme in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier! Actually, I loved this service so much, I bought two packages so that we'd have service for eight!

The flatware is very well made and of high quality. The handles are thick and strong. Not flimsy at all. Don't expect these to bend! They have a deep crimson red handle which will go nicely with all types of decor. From the "country kitchen" with gingham or apples to the ultra modern kitchen with sushi or square plates.

Besides the apples, I have some olive green square plates that I bought for a recent dinner party. I mixed and matched and they looked absolutely stunning.

I guarantee you'll love the look and feel of this flatware and at this price, you can't to wrong. You're getting a lot for the money. I've come to know and love Cambridge Silversmiths as a name that I can trust. You will too.

All of their products are top notch! Another benefit, these qualify for Amazon's free shipping, which also means that if you're a prime member, you can have this heavy silverware shipped overnight for just $3.99!

Pick these up and Enjoy!

I purchased 2 sets and was very pleased. Over the years though, I've noticed that flatware gets lighter and lighter in weight. I remember a time when flatware was commonly heavier in weight. But, oh well ... Overall, this is a very nice product and I think you would be pleased with it.

Wusthof Classic 26-Piece Block Knife Set

Wusthof Classic 26-Piece Block Knife SetThis is the mother of all knife sets.

There are really two main competitors in the high-end mainstream kitchen knife market: Henckels and Wusthof. Those who have used both usually have a preference. My preference (and therefore bias you should know about) is for the Wusthofs.

The Wusthof Classic line is the more conservative counterpart to the Grand Prix line. The only difference, however, is the handle style. I personally prefer the Grand Prix, but this is an issue of personal preference. The balance and grip of these knives are as close to perfect as I have found. For those wondering what benefits a higher priced knife provides, one benefit is that the blade (or tang) is one piece all the way through the handle. This makes the blade much stronger, and less likely to snap.

This set includes a 6, 8, and 10 inch chef's knives; 2 ¾ inch peeling knife; 3 ½ inch paring; 4 ½ inch utility; 5 inch tomato; 9 inch bread; 5 inch boning; 8 inch carving knife and fork; 6 inch sandwich; 6 inch flexible fillet; 7 inch santoku; 6 inch cleaver, eight steak knives, sharpening steel, kitchen shears, and an oak block

The chef's knives are great knives. This set includes all three sizes of chef's knives offered in the Grand Prix line, 6, 8 and 10 inch. For most home cooks, I think the 8 inch knife is the best choice. The 6 inch is a bit small for bigger jobs, but the 10 inch is too big for most jobs.

The Wusthof 4 ½ inch utility knife is a great all-around knife. This is the knife I use for the majority of my small chopping work (when I don't use a Chef's knife).

As for the 3 ½ inch paring knife, this knife falls into the category of overkill for me. Most cooks will get by just fine with the 4 ½ inch utility knife. There is really no notable difference in size for the vast majority of applications between the 3 ½ inch paring knife and the 4 ½ inch utility knife. I prefer the 4 ½ inch utility knife, but the 3 ½ inch paring knife is a good addition to the set.

I have found very few uses for the 6 inch sandwich and the 5 inch salami knives. I prefer the larger size of the chef's knife or the smaller 4 ½ inch utility knife. The knives are just the wrong width and length for most tasks, and fall into the overkill department, except when part of a set.

The 2 ¾ inch trimming knife, however, is a good length for small tasks, like trimming fat from cuts of meat.

The 6 inch cleaver, is a good cleaver. Most people really don't use a cleaver anymore, as they buy either pre-cut/pre-packaged meats, or they have the butcher cut the meat into loins or steaks for them. If you really are going to use a cleaver, this one is my favorite. The weight and balance are very good.

The 5 inch boning knife is a good knife. I think this knife is slightly more useful for the everyday cook than the cleaver. I find this knife useful for both boning and fat trimming.

The bread knife, is a great knife. Many people think tomatoes are the hardest food items to clearly cut. I think bread is much more difficult; but this knife makes the task seem easy. This set includes the 9 inch knife that I prefer over the 8 inch.

When it comes to sharpening steels, I have found very little difference between Henckels and Wusthof. As long as you buy a high end steel, you really won't go wrong. Therefore, I shop for this item on price, and Henckels has a price advantage. However as the steel comes with the set, you won't go wrong with this steel.

This set is as complete as they come. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it.

I didn't buy my Wusthof knife collection as a set, but I wish I had. This block set includes everything I've aquired over the years, plus a couple of items that are still on my wish list. It may sound like overkill, but nothing here (with the exception of the steak knives) is redundant or unneeded in a well-stocked kitchen. The only improvement I would make is to add a second paring knife.

THE BROAD BLADED (CHEF'S) KNIVES:

-Which chef's knife to use depends on the size and balance of your hand, and how fine the task will be. Petite and average-sized women tend to prefer the 5 or 6-inch blade, average-sized and large men tend to prefer the 8 or 10. (Most sets ship with the 8). If you are a cooking couple, these four will provide a knife comfortable to both sets of hands, and appropriate to both coarse tasks (such as cutting up a watermellon or large squash, or opening a wheel of cheese) and fine ones (chopping an onion, slicing up a bunch of veggies for stir-fry).

THE NARROW BLADED KNIVES:

-The 3.5-inch paring knife gets used for everything. Trimming and cleaning vegetables, mincing small amounts of herbs, creating garnishes, and other places where a chef's knife would be too big and unwieldy.

-The 4.5-inch utility knife works as a paring knife for a larger hand, with a longer blade and a heavier handle. A smaller hand may prefer this to the boning knife for boning.

-The 6-inch sandwich knife is appropriate for sandwiches (spreading filling and spreads, and cutting sandwich meats as well as the finished sandwich), but is also useful for carving chicken or cutting pies.

-The 8-inch carving knife is for slicing roasts or turkey, but will also work well for cakes, including cheesecake. (Use the sandwich knife for carving chicken).

THE SPECIALTY KNIVES:

-The boning knife has a narrow blade to slip around and between bones and tendons. Use this for raw meat use the carving or sandwich knife for cooked stuff.

-The tomato knife is serrated to cut through tomato skins without crushing, and forked to serve the slices afterward. It also works well on salami and sausage (the edge is the same as the Wusthof sausage and brunch knives, though those don't have a fork). I prefer it for citrus over the utility knife, since it also won't crush the delicate pulp.

-The bread knife cuts through tough bread crusts without crushing the delicate inside of the bread, and can also be used as a larger tomato knife.

-The flexible filet will slip easily under the ribs of fish or poultry, and can also be used for skinning.

-The cleaver is for even heavier chopping tasks than the chef's knife cutting right through bones or very tough vegetables like sugar cane. Use the flat of the cleaver to crush garlic, and the back of the cleaver to hammer meat to tenderize it, or to pound ginger or galangal before putting it in the pot. (Unlike a real chinese cleaver, this one doesnt' have the front edge sharpened, so you can't use it as a spatula).

-The peeling knife (also known as the "bird's beak") is not only for peeling thick veggies like broccoli stalks (use a regular veggie peeler for carrots), but also just the right thing for trimming delicate herbs and mushrooms any task where the cutting surface is the curve of your thumb and not a cutting board. The sharp point and thin profile also make this best for cutting out the cores and stems of peppers or thin-skinned squash.

Other reviewers have commented on the dishwasher-ability of the Wusthof Classic line. I've been washing my knives in the dishwasher for many years, and the rivets do corrode eventually from the detergent. The blades do just fine, however (as long as you have a basket to keep them from knocking together). Hi-carbon stainless is a compromise between stainless (which can't hold an edge) and carbon steel (which first turns black from soap, and then dissolves into a pile of rust if not dried right away). The choice of how much work you're willing to put into your knives is up to you.

It's true that a new cook can survive with a chef's knife and a paring knife, but if you can afford this, get it.

Straight up, I do not own this exact set, but I do own some of the knives in the set. I was obliged to make a comment because of another review. I like the Wusthof line, and think that they are of impeccable quality. I also feel that there are knives of equal quality available at far less cost. Be that as it may, I wanted to pass along that my ex wife and I bought a Cutco knife set early in our marriage (for a small fortune), and I cannot for the life of me understand how ANY reviewer could even begin to compare them to a proper forged knife set. For years, I thought that I had really bought the best, until I was introduced to a quality forged knife. There is no comparison in the overall handling and performance. To understand the benefit of a proper forged knife, you really have to try one. Don't get me wrong, the Cutco knives are among the finest of the stamped steel knives, and have a great warranty, but their price is based on the way they are marketed (like the old whole life insurance policies), and they are not in the same utility class as a forged knife set. Buy Wusthof or a more value oriented brand of forged knives and sleep well. Leave the stamped steel knives to the newlyweds.

I own most of the knives in the set and use them daily. I also used Cutco extensively once upon a time when I was young and didn't know any better. All I can say is that anyone who can sit there and say that Cutco is in any way comparable in quality to Wusthof is either a Cutco salesperson or delusional. If you're not willing to take the extra minute per night to hand wash and properly steel a Wusthof (or any other fine forged blade), by all means, get the Cutco or K-Mart specials or whatever. Otherwise, comparisons are simply unfair. You need to use a Wusthof to fully appreciate the difference. I did, and I couldn't retire my old knives fast enough.

Are you kidding me? To compare Cutco to Wusthof-Trident is like comparing a Chevy to a Mercedes-Benz. Wusthof Classic knives are forged and well balanced, prefered by professional chefs. Cutco knives are stamped and WAY overpriced, prefered by "country bumpkins" who bought them from their sons or daughters. Please take reviews praising Cutco with a grain of salt. They are most likely Cutco salesmen pushing their inferior product. Why else would they be mentioning Cutco on a site that does not even sell it?
