LEATHER KNIFE COVER

LEATHER KNIFE COVERThese leather knife blade covers work good as the leather provides great protection for the carver. Some carvers use wine corks but the blade edge isn't covered. With these covers, the blade is inserted into paper that is inside the sleeve, thus the tip and blade edge is protected. However the paper separates after a few insertions and slips off the blade easily while in your tool box/kit.

Shun TDMS0400 Premier 4-Piece Steak Knife Set

Shun TDMS0400 Premier 4-Piece Steak Knife SetI cringed at the price for months, until I just gave in and ordered them figuring I'd probably return them. Yeah, that's a LOT of money for a damned steak knife... for four of them, really. Could they really be that nice?

First I'll give my deduction of 1 star. The "hand hammered" finish is in fact a machine hammered finish. All four steak knives have identical hammer marks... all of the blades share the same hammer marks on each side. If these were hand hammered, there would be some variation in the hammer marks, there really is none. That being said...

Shun Premier knifes are just amazing. These steak knives are no exception. The handles are light and the blade is wide and thin with the razor sharp edge pushing from the handle at a relatively aggressive cutting angle. They are delicate and precise. The perfect knife for that thick steak that can handle a 2" cut of prime rib roast without trying.

These knives are pretty large. They make all of the other steak knives I've used seem anemic even though most of them had more weight to them. They also look like they should weigh more, but that's mostly due to how thin and tall these blades are. And, while I think I'd like a little more weight in them, they handle so comfortably and precisely.

I've never really owned a really nice steak knife before, but I've used quite a few fancy sets at friend's houses. These knives fit my steak slicing habits perfectly. I honestly can't find fault with these. They're gorgeous, they're very finely crafted, the blade to handle geometry and ergonomics are excellent. They rest gently in the hand cutting a 1.5" ribeye just how I want it to cut.

The downside is really the case. I would have liked a nice, high quality case for these knives, you just get a rather sturdy cardboard box with the knives in foam. It's really nice for a cardboard box, but it certainly isn't the wooden case that comes with the Shun Elite Steak Knife Set.

Each one of these knives is of the same forged quality as any of their other knives. That's what really sets them apart from other companies set's steak knives. Yeah, they're terribly expensive, but I think they're worth it.

Wusthof Gourmet 18-Piece Block Set

Wusthof Gourmet 18-Piece Block SetI've been buying the Wusthof knives for 5 years now. some of them are as sharp as the day I bought them. They hardly need sharpening. DO NOT USE ON GRANITE OR HARD COUNTERTOPS. always use a plastic sheet or something similar cause that makes the edges of these or any other knives, blunt..then you would need to sharpen them..Will sometimes stain from the dishwasher detergent, however these stains come off easily with a sponge or just rewashing them in the dishwasher..they are not deep core stains.

The wooden block that sells with the set is really cheap quality that is why I ducked a star..most knives don't fit nicely in the slots

Just got this amazing set of 18 knives and separate 1 knife of same company! i'm just happy. delivered fast, in perfect condition, very good quality product! cant stop chopping :))

Catskill Craftsmen 14-1/2-Inch Poly Cutting Board Paddle with Groove

Catskill Craftsmen 14-1/2-Inch Poly Cutting Board Paddle with GrooveThe 14 1/2 inch length includes the handle, which leaves a very small cutting area. The juice groove is also quite shallow, and overflowed easily with the juices from 2 hamburgers. When we took it out of the dishwasher, it had warped. Still usable, but not the product that I had expected (and needed).

Ivory Beach Champagne Flutes & Cake Server Set

Ivory Beach Champagne Flutes & Cake Server SetMy fiance ordered these for me for our anniversary (to use on our wedding day), and they are really pretty!!! The glasses are nice and heavy, which I think will make them last a long time! The starfish is pretty, and have a nice sparkle to them. The only thing I don't like is the inscription on the server set is very fine and kind of hard to see! The glasses aren't like that -you can see the etching on them perfectly! All and all, I like them a lot!

First of all I have never purchased anything so cheap from Amazon...such a disappointing product. The description is very misleading...they've advertize as a high quality product an alternative to the more expensive glass sterling silver products. I had to return it immediately do to a defect, customer service was good. My mother-n-law gave us a better quality product for much less! Stay away

Richardson Sheffield 3-Piece Laser Soft Touch Starter Knife Set

Richardson Sheffield 3-Piece Laser Soft Touch Starter Knife SetThey aren't the standard size for each type of knife; they are really small, medium and large chef's knives, not parer or all-purpose or utility knives regular sizes. The blades are very sharp; they grab the food very well so there is not effort to cut and they do not slip; the handle is ergonomic. Be very careful using them so you don't get injured because they are really sharp. They have gone to the dishwasher a few times and still look as new. I had given this product 5 stars if the sizes had been correct.

WMF Carlton 45-Piece Flatware Placesetting, Service for Eight

WMF Carlton 45-Piece Flatware Placesetting, Service for EightNeeded a new set of every day flatware. The existing 18/0 Oneida flatware (not the Community series----this was the casual, every day line) was looking beat up after twenty years.

The finish on this new WMF set is beautiful, and they come out of the dishwasher sparkling clean---something that did not happen with the every day Oneida set (a higher end Oneida 18/10 "Community" set--very formal "best flatware" pattern--does come out nice and clean as well). The dishwasher is a mid-range Bosch, not a dishwasher that is failing or on its last legs. And yes, it uses Finish tabs and Jet-Dry. The message here is that 18/8 or 18/10 flatware is worth the extra money, and more carefree to maintain if you use a dishwasher. With 18/0, one was constantly rubbing out spots or scouring the utensil AFTER it emerged from the dishwasher.

Bear in mind that this pattern is designed by Hepp and sold under the WMF label in the USA. WMF and Hepp are under the same ownership. In Germany, you would buy Carlton with a Hepp label. If you go to WMF's USA website, you will see a menu tab for Hepp, and in their flatware line you will find Carlton. It is very popular for restaurants (Hepp's specialty is restaurant supply), which speaks of its durability. Pieces feel very nice in the hand. Tablespoon probably a bit too large for a woman's mouth, about right for an average size man. The tablespoons seem to be "bistro size", not surprising since Hepp is a major restaurant supplier. There are other WMF patterns with smaller spoons if this is an issue.

WMF's 18/10 Cromargan line is a notch or two below their top of the line Cromargan Protect line---Cromargan-Protect sets sell for $500-1000, and are what people in Germany use for their "best flatware", if they can afford it. It almost never goes on sale or special offer. Note that in Germany, flatware is sold in sets of six or twelve place settings, unlike US marketing tradition that sells "service for four" or "service for eight" (and if you want twelve settings, you buy one of each set). Their products for the US market are sold as per US tradition, either a 20 piece set or a 45 piece set. It's too bad the German pattern isn't seen here, because four place settings can be a little sparse except for a couple or single person, whereas six settings would cover most family dinners or a couple or single person inviting 3-4 guests to dinner.

For everyday use, however, the value of these 18/10 Cromargan (non-Protect) sets is hard to beat. They aren't made in Germany any more, but are supposedly designed by and manufactured to WMF's traditionally high standards. The WMF website sells open stock serving pieces (e.g. an extra serving spoon or serving fork) for very reasonable prices, about $4 each at present.

I ordered this thinking it was the same pattern I had a few pieces of. It wasn't but I Like it better. The pieces are bigger than I expected, but are beautifu, well balanced and a joy to use. So far it is holding up well to frequent use and dishwashings.

Harold Import 1281 "Tramontina" Porterhouse Steak Knife SET - SET of 4

Harold Import 1281 'Tramontina' Porterhouse Steak Knife SET - SET of 4I originally purchased a couple of these knives at an Ace Hardware, these knives are OK but not the same quality as the Ace knives.

I had purchased Tramontina steak knives years ago and they were the best knives I have ever used. I lost a couple, so ordered new ones and the new ones are a big disappointment. The wooden handles feel rough and the blades have ALREADY gotten rusty after only a couple of weeks of use. They don't cut as well, either. Nothing like the old knives. Had I known all this, I would not have purchased them.

Buy Harold Import 1281 "Tramontina" Porterhouse Steak Knife SET - SET of 4 Now

We recently purchased two sets of these knives and we couldn't be happier. For the price they are great. We haven't had them long enough to see how they survive daily trips through the dishwasher only time will tell how the handles hold up. But they are sharp, have a nice balance, and slice through steak like butter. The only thing negative so far is that I almost cut myself because I'm not used to such a sharp steak knife.

I was looking for a nice set of steak knives for my parents and since I never really priced knives before was surprised at how much you can spend! I didn't want lower quality, wanted knives that would stay sharp and were made well with rivets in the handles and preferably wooden handles. I noted that some of the most expensive knives had plastic handles. These knives are very nice, a very good size and heft, good hand feel, and very sharp. If you want a good set of knives that look good, feel good, and do the job without spending hundreds of dollars (OK, I'm sure those knives have some sort of quality for the price if that's what you're looking for), these are the knives for you. Good knives that don't break the bank and they seem well made so should last a while.

Oneida Camlynn 53-piece Flatware Set, Service for 8

Oneida Camlynn 53-piece Flatware Set, Service for 8I looked and looked for months trying to decide on new flatware and finally decided to give this set a try. Amazon's price and the bonus 24-piece set I got for free made it hard to turn down.

When I first opened these, my immediate reaction was , "Whoa, these are HUGE!" I wasn't sure about the continental size, it made our old stuff look like toys... my teenage son, in his usual cynical manner, commented that these must have been designed for "ham-fisted eaters."

It's now a couple of weeks later, and I can say that we've all adapted to the size, and I'm growing to enjoy this set more and more. It suits the large Dansk dishes we have, and really does look nice on the table. We always use a dishwasher and they come out perfectly shiny and spotless, as long as they haven't been "over-crowded" with too many pieces crammed into the basket. When we had a particularly large load, a few had waterspots, but they immediately went away when I handwashed and dried them.

If you're looking for exceptionally heavy flatware to accompany large dinnerware like Dansk or Fiesta, this set is a great option. The extra teaspoons are wonderful, too, if you're like us and use them constantly for making coffee and tea.

Two thumbs up!

As other reviewers have noted, the pattern is rather large and sturdy in its construction. Great for a larger set of dishes. The pattern is also rather sleek.

Some of the cons that I see are:

1. The brushed part of the pattern scratches a bit, which leaves a new-looking shiny line in between a slightly scratched surface.

2. Watermarks are left on the brushed metal sometimes when they come out of the dishwasher, but not on the shiny part.

3. The manufacturing of this product was inconsistent.

#3 explained:

The pattern has slight grooves between the shiny line and matte sides to make the difference stand out. However, the set that I initially received had some pieces with the groove, some with none at all, making a smooth transition from the shiny portion to the matted portion. Even some individual pieces had one side with the correct pattern and the other side with the defect.

I investigated using the 25 year warranty from Oneida to replace the defective pieces or to just replace the set through Amazon. Oneida requires you to deal with all the shipping charges and details of replacing pieces, whereas Amazon makes the process quite simple, so I used Amazon's exchange service. The next set that I got from them was much better, though still not perfect in the manufacture of the pieces. I am not sure if this particular pattern was difficult for Oneida, but I do know that I would be reluctant to try to get new pieces from them due to this problem with the manufacturing.

This flatware is very high quality. The pieces are heavy weight and solid with a satin finish that is even and smooth. They are truly oversized, European scale pieces: the salad forks in this set were as big as the dinner forks in my old Oneida set. I expected something more delicate and was a bit surprised by their size and weight but have decided to keep them because the quality is obvious and the pieces have a nice, substantial feel in your hand.

The design is simple and attractive. It is versatile and would compliment all but the most geometric tableware patterns. The price is outstanding for the set. The weight and quality were so much greater than the sets I had seen in stores for the same price that I was truly surprised when I unpacked the box. If I had not known the price of this flatware I would have guessed it to be far more expensive than it is.

I ordered this set to replace our older silverware, which after 3 children, is down to 6 spoons and 10 forks and 8 knives (Is there a utensil monster my mom forgot to tell me about?)

When I ordered this set it seemed like a nice classic-style set with some european flair, right up my alley. Upon receiving it, I was amazed at how truly beautiful this pattern really was. The quality of it was more than I had anticipated and put my old Oneida to complete shame. Heavy pieces, well balanced, very nicely crafted. The knives and forks and spoons are longer than in a traditional set (especially the forks!) however you quickly adjust to eating with them. Truly a nice statement at the dinner table. Beautiful serving pieces, I especially liked the fact that it had 1 slotted serving spoon and one regular. Very Nice. 5 stars all the way!

Want Oneida Camlynn 53-piece Flatware Set, Service for 8 Discount?

A very attractive set and a nice quantity for the price. I had problems with the durability of the pieces, though. I merely washed the set as I took it out of the box and some knife pieces showed spots of rust. I didn't even get to use it and it was back in the box for a return.

The instructions state how to care for the flatware; don't let the pieces sit in water, don't let foods stay on the pieces too long before washing, be cautious of the detergent used, don't let them air dry as that can cause rust, remove from the dishwasher when the cycle is finished. In my case I simply had to let them air dry for a short while because I had company in the house.

As I said it looks pretty, but it really loses out because it's simply not a functional set and it is inconvenient when one has to pay so much attention to caring for one's flatware. I don't really want to wash and dry each piece immediatly after using it. I remember seeing many a house where flatware was left in the sink with the dishes for quite a while before any one got to it. Just a little toughness is all I ask.

I also noticed as I shopped in stores that the frosted parts of flatware are very prone to scratching.

It's too bad. I'll be looking for something more durable.

Under Cabinet K-cup® Holder. Designed for Keurig's® K-cups®- Elite

Under Cabinet K-cup® Holder. Designed for Keurig's® K-cups®- EliteI don't like to have a lot of kitchen counter clutter so I was so happy to find this product. I read a bunch of the reviews ahead of time so I went ahead and secured it with the screws so it wouldn't go anywhere. I love this thing so much that I bought a second one so both my husband and I can have our own coffees in our own holders. The design is sleek and I love being able to have a bunch of different flavored coffees right by my Keurig without having a pile of different boxes on the counter.

The one tip I would like to pass on is to open and close the holder by using the front bar only. Otherwise it can go up cockeyed and not close up flat.

Bought the smaller one for the wife. Mounting is a breeze. I went ahead and used the screws to insure it wasn't going anywhere. Perfect way to store your K cups without taking up a drawer or more counter space. It tucks them away nicely out of site under the cabinet. Highly recommend this unit.

This was easy to install. After reading other reviews I decided to use the included screws. The bottom of my cabinet has a rough texture so I doubt the adhesive would have held very long. I did use it to keep the rack in place while I screwed it in. I love that it keeps my countertop clutter free. This is by far the best storage for k cups!

Very nice item. The BUT is about the self (non)sticky tape provided. Had it installed about my wine glasses. In the middle of the night it fell down. It comes with screws USE THEM!!!

Will look for another though.

Want Under Cabinet K-cup® Holder. Designed for Keurig's® K-cups®- Elite Discount?

I love the idea was exactly what I was looking for to store KCups out of the way without taking up valuable counter top or cabinet space. I can't see the sticky tape being practical so I also used the screws.

My real complaint is that it doesn't come down smoothly/easily enough. It requires too much force to open. To me, this means it will eventually loosen the screws.

I would pay more for a better engineered product. I just think the movement isn't smooth enough and forces more wear/tear on the unit than should be necessary. a full 5 stars if it had a smooth/gliding movement instead of the forcefull/stiff/jerky pull required to yank it down.

J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio 18-Piece Block Set

J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio 18-Piece Block SetI had been looking to purchase a nicer, but not overly expensive, set of knives as my older set had seen better days. i bought these despite the lack of reviews, and after using them for a couple of weeks i love them. they have a wonderful feel in your hand, nice and heavy for their size, extremely sturdy. they are very sharp right out of the box with a sharpening steel that works well. the steak knives are great, they are clean, black, and professional looking and would definitely fit in with any nice set of china or flatware.

the only thing i can think to say is that the paring knife is a little awkward, the grip almost feels too big, or perhaps the blade is too small, but that my just be me. overall a great set of knives for someone who wants quality, reliable cutlery without spending 500+ dollars. i intend on using this set for quite some time into the future.

Look, flat out, these knives are probably going to be more than you'll ever need. If you're wondering if this set is going to be good enough for you, then you don't know enough about chef knives to require the $279 Wusthof Santoku that only a chef could appreciate. Besides, most people don't realize that there's more than a hefty price tag to a fancy knife: maintenance. Yes, even the nicest of knives can't hold an edge forever, and the high level of professional care and maintenance required to keep those knives that way is only worth it to the most serious of cooks.

For those of you who are home cooks who want to treat themselves to something nice for their kitchen, this is the highest level of cutlery you'll require. These knives require just the right amount of care to make them worth their weight, balance, and precision. I promise you, the quality will surprise you.

There are two reasons I didn't give this item 5 stars.

1) The description says "Made In Germany." I still think these are awesome, but the blade clearly says "Made in China." So, for those of you out their chastising us reviewers for no noticing the "International" in the title, the description still needs to be fixed.

...on a more practical note...

2) These knives definitely could have a sharper edge than the one out of the box. Depending on your skill and/or devotion, I would recommend either investing in some sharpening blocks and training, or take them to a professional. I tend to stay away from those "insta-sharpen" products, but that's just me. If treated correctly, these knives are more than capable of having a razor edge.

I bought these knives after looking at Costco, Sam's club, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and a number of online venues. I finally ordered these despite the lack of reviews. I was a little disappointed to see that my knives were on back order. It stated that they were going to be shipped in two months. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up three weeks later. This is the best price I could find for the the amount of knives you get, especially for the high quality of Henckels. I have had the knives for about two months, they are great! They feel great in your had and cut extremely well. I absolutely love them! I would highly recommend this set to anyone. As stated earlier, if you are after a high quality knife set this was the best bang for your buck I could find. All of the knives are forged, even the steak knives, which is something that may differ between other Henckel block sets.

I thought this measuring butter knife would be great, yes it's a great idea to get exact measurements of butter for recipes....however, the claim that it is "satin finish" leads one to believe that it is indeed satin finish metal....but, I used it one time, washed it, and much to my surprise on one side the "satin finish" came off leavinga blank area. I was pretty surprised when I realized it's just paint....the other side still shows measurement guide, but I assume it too will eventually come off. What a waste.

Farberware Classic Paring Knives, Mixed Colors, Set of 4

Farberware Classic Paring Knives, Mixed Colors, Set of 4Wish I had known the dimensions of these tiny paring knives before purchasing they are too tiny for my average-sized (female) hands to use for much of anything and the blade is so thin it can't handle cutting with any force. Here are the dimensions to help in your decision:

Handle: 3.5 in. long and 0.75 in. wide at widest part

Blade: a whopping 2.25 in. long and less than 0.5 in. wide.

Unless you have petite hands I'd skip it.

not as sharp as I hoped they would be for quikcut knives. My old quickcut knives are sharper. too bad.

I plan on ordering another set in the future to give me more place settings, so I made sure to keep the pattern name. This was the first time I purchased expensive flatware with the "superior" 18/10 stainless steel. (Supposedly, this higher level of nickel content makes the metal more resistant to damage and wear). I like it, but I don't really see it as much superior to the standard (cheap) 18/0 stainless steel flatware that I have used in the past. I am basically happy with my purchase, but I don't think I would say it was worth the extra money.

The metal does look slightly dull after a few uses and it has minute scratches. It doesn't look bad. It just doesn't look any better than the cheap flatware.

That said, it has a nice design, goes well on any table and has a good hand feel and weight to it. Its good flatware. I like the flatware. I would just advise you to find a good sale price as I don't see the justification is charging so much more than the 18/0 flatware which has served me well for many years ( or did until my rotten stepdaughter swiped it....but that's another story....)

Chefs Choice Model 1520 Angle Select Sharpener - Brushed Metal

Chef's Choice 1520 Angle Select Diamond Hone Sharpener, Brushed MetalThe sharpener arrived four days early so I commend Amazon on their speed of shipping. After opening the box it came in, I read the manual from front to back just to make sure I understood everything about this sharpener. I was still fairly unfamiliar how to hold the knife in the sharpener. So I started out with a large but cheap kitchen knife that was not serrated and I put it in the 15 degree slot. I thought 15 degrees should make this knife good and sharp, so away I went. On the first pass the knife didn't easily slide into either the left or the right slot. Ends up the alignment slots are a bit tricky to insert thick-bladed knives into and I noticed there are plastic tabs that are supposed to help hold the knife in place to keep the proper angle. So I removed a star from my review. I just couldn't figure out what was happening so I went online to youtube. There is a video that teaches how to sharpen knives with this model sharpener. So after the first pass through with both sides I inspected the knife and found (what I thought to be) was the sharpener took too much off the edge. I felt the blade, for sharpness; and it just wasn't that sharp. So I ran the knife through another seven times. Now it was getting quite sharp, but there were quite a bit of tiny shavings on the table where I was working. Next time I just put paper towel under the sharpener and it caught all the spare shavings. I ran the knife through the strop/polisher five times on each side, just like the book states. Make double sure you alternate from side to side on the sharpener because the manual says so. Also I noticed the reviews on the earlier model sharpeners noting the sharpener made scratches on the blades. It did not make any scratches on the blades and I frankly don't see how it could because everything in the sharpener except for the grinding wheel is plastic. Next I offered to sharpen my dads pocket knife. I again chose 15 degrees to try to keep the pocket knife looking good and making it quite sharp. Boy, was I wrong to do that. I looked at it and thought crap! That stupid sharpener took seriously way too much off the blade. Turns out that 15 degrees is quite thin and pocket knives (in my mind) should only be sharpened between 20 degrees to 23 degrees. In the end it does do quite a nice job on pocket knives as well as bigger kitchen knives. Next I tried a trickier knife. I switched to a one sided short but fat half-serrated pocket knife. The job I did was fair until I slid the knife in without watching what angle it was. I guess the plastic guide is easier to use with longer knives. I pretty much ruined that knife! The sharpener took way too much off the knifes edge. Oh well, it was only 5 dollars anyway. Just be careful with short knives because they're harder to keep straight while sliding them through the sharpening wheels. One last note about the sharpener. It doesn't sharpen all the way to the hilt on pocket knives. I'm not talking about the notch at the beginning of the blade, it's farther out than that. There's about an eighth of an inch past that on the blade that the grinding wheels just can't get to because of the plastic alignment guides. Pocket knives just won't go up into the sharpener far enough. On kitchen knives the handle is on top of the blade thus the blade slides all the way through. So I removed another star from my review. Yeah it sucks, but kitchen style knives end up quite nice. That's why I gave it three stars.

Product was everything it said it was.

Diverse with all types of knives.

Would recommend it to anyone who cares about their cutlery.

I love a sharp knife but didn't take my knives in to be sharpened as often as they needed. This makes it much more convenient to keep your knives sharp and in optimum condition.

The 1520 is the best and most flexible Chef's Choice Electric Sharpener for most users. The 120 and 130 are highly rated by many reviewers and have been available for a few years. Both of these sharpeners are for 20 degree knives only. The 1520 is unique in that it has fine diamond grinding slots for both 15 and 20 degree angles as well as a stropping/finishing slot used for either angle. It also has newly designed and improved guides that have less tendency to scratch knives and are very easy to use.

Most Asian knives are ground at a 15 degree angle whereas most European and American knives are ground at 20 degrees. This sharpener will do both, including Asian knives that have the 15 degree angle on only one side.

I find it very useful to grind 20 degree knives to 15 degrees to narrow the cutting edge and then give a couple of pulls thru the 20 degree slot to create a 20 degree micro bevel. I then finish with the stropping stage. This method is described in the User's Guide but is unfamiliar to most people. i would suggest that you try it first on a small paring knife. I think you will be extremely pleased with the result. One major advantage of this technique is that the cutting edge doesn't widen much after repeated sharpening. Touchup will normally only require using the third slot. Only when absolutely necessary make a pull thru the second stage once or twice before using the third stage.

The additional flexibility of both 15 and 20 degree diamond slots and improved guides makes this sharpener a superior choice to either the 120 or 130. The Chef's Choice 1520 electric sharpener is very highly recommended.

Silver Parisian Romance Champagne Flutes & Cake Server Set

Silver Parisian Romance Champagne Flutes & Cake Server SetBeautiful design, nice customized lettering...heavy-weight and high quality! We LOVE this set -it's definitely worth the money as compared with sets in stores like Macy's and JCPenny.

When I placed my order I did it without a personalization intentionally. However I was contacted by the seller double checking with me if I wanted a personalization, which I view as great customer service. The product arrived very quickly and is very elegant. I am looking forward to using the cake servers and champagne flutes at my wedding.

Wooden Saya Cover for Santoku

Wooden Saya Cover for SantokuI have A SHUN premier 7" santoku and the blade is to wide to fit in the cover. It suggests that the knife and the exact same saya cover are frequently purchased together, but it wont fit just a heads up. lets see how good korins return service works. I have a saya cover of the same variety for a misono knife i own its awesome.

I recently purchased a Global 7" Santoku Knife (G-46 model) and the knife did not fit in the the knife block I already owned. I searched for a sheath and kept coming to this product. I was afraid it wasn't going to fit, but I'm happy to report it fits like a glove. Just perfect.

It looks great, feels great, and is a high quality product. Korin packaged it very well. Comes with a pin that fits in the notch to secure the blade from slipping out (handy for travel). See the pics I added for reference.

Gerber 46001 Take-A-Part 8-Inch Game Shear

Gerber 46001 Take-A-Part 8-Inch Game ShearI bought these to replace a pair of Cabelas brand shears. Those shears did not come apart and the pivot nut kept coming lose, making it difficult to cut off the wings and feet of the birds we shoot.

Right away I was impressed with these shears. We just went through cleaning 41 pheasants last week, cutting off wings, legs & heads, then cutting out the backbone, and we had absolutely no problems. These shears made quick work of the job of cleaning the birds so we could get on with enjoying the rest of the evening. I highly recommend them.

These shears are a must in our kitchen anymore. We use on all meats great on quail, pheasant and I can cut up a chicken however I want to grill halves, quarters, piece by piece with very little effort. They come apart and can wash in dishwasher....would never be without a pair again.

I purchased these for rabbit hunting. When I pulled them out of the shipping box I was a tad skeptical. The grips and blades are more substantial than standard scissors, but would they cut through rabbit bone? Well, I went out and got a few rabbits last weekend and they cut through the legs, pelvis and neck with little effort. I think they will work just fine for rabbits as well as the bird hunting I plan to start doing. Also, as a plus, since the blades can be taken apart, cleaning is a snap.

I've been a paramedic for 15 years, and these are close to being almost a 'must have' for every paramedic. They cut extremely well, almost too well. I wish Gerber would listen to me, because with a few tweaks, every Paramedic, EMT, and Firefighter would own these. Unfortunately they are so sharp at the tips, that they always end up cutting through the nylon sheath. I've had at least 10 pairs of these, I only buy new ones when I lose the old ones. I've owned earlier pairs, which had a harder nylon case, but the belt loop was too weak, and broke. Both designs are flawed. The scissors should also come with blunt tips. These are great for cutting through just about anything. Unfortunately that also means skin, so be careful if cutting off someones clothes. (Hence the tips need to be blunt, not sharp points.) In this configuration, they also make a decent weapon, if needed. If Gerber would a)make a better nylon sheath, with stronger belt loop, and a blunt tip, these would be perfect. I still love them and will take them in their current configuration, because they are sharp, they have never lost an edge, and they cut through anything. Even Chicken bones. Great Scissors!

Well these work so far and had no problems with them yet. I use them in my kitchen for prepping and cutting up poultry. The price on here is much better and fair consider that Wal Mart had them for $19.99 which was over board for these. Also they have the Gerber name on them but they are made by Fiskas who also make those unbreakable ax's? I see that an big improvement on them would be to increase the blade length.
