Deglon Meeting Knife Set, Stainless Steel Knives and Block, Set of 4

Deglon Meeting Knife Set, Stainless Steel Knives and Block, Set of 4I love this knife set, as I have medical condition where my handgrip size changes in relation to the Fibonacci series.

With most chef's knives, I've always used the knuckles on my opposing hand to guide the blade, producing straight, even and safe cuts. But the hollow space in the Deglon chef's knife has been revelatory, allowing my knuckles, and occasionally my fingers, to merge and become one with the blade. Now rather than subjecting the knife to the narrow constraints of my rote technique, the blade is free to cut where it feels it should go. Instead of a boring uniform julienne, every piece of cut food is like a snowflake, unique in shape and size. Cooking used to be about the end product, but now I just spend hours slicing, dicing and mincing, sometimes all three at the same time.

The nesting design is also eminently practical and space efficient. I highly recommend it to anyone who cannot afford sufficient storage space in their kitchen because they spent $1,000 on 4 knives.

Last year my son informed me that he would rather follow his dream of becoming a professional chef rather than follow in my footsteps to become an attorney. I was crushed, and at a total loss until I stumbled across this knife set on Amazon. I bought the set for his 17th birthday. Smashing garlic, following proper rote technique, keeping the blades sharp, holding the knife comfortably, etc. were all beyond his grasp thanks to the striking ineptitude of these knives. He was unable to cook like his television host idols. His vegetables looked like they had been chopped by a toddler.

During our second trip to the emergency room I was able to convince him to go into pre-law. I told him that if these knives are still in production when he graduates from law school then he will be able to make a killing by initiating a class action lawsuit against Deglon.

This set may have crushed my son's soul, but it has ensured his father's glorious legacy.

Harvard Law: my little Johnson is coming.

I couldn't believe these four knives were only $750! It was such a deal that I bought two of these sets. After spending $1500 on eight knives I am going to just have to use these beauties to cut the plastic off my styrofoam ramen containers because I can not afford real food for a while.

Ricci Regale Satin 45-Piece Stainless-Steel Flatware Set, Service for 8

Ricci Regale Satin 45-Piece Stainless-Steel Flatware Set, Service for 8This set of silverware is beautiful. We are so glad we ordered it. The design is very elegant and will go well with the new dishes and glasses we just got. Our only complaint is that the description says the silverware has a satin finish, which is true of most of it, but the eating surface and part of the handles are made of stainless steel. So those sections show fingerprints and smudges. We were expecting a satin finish on all of it. Otherwise, the silverware is perfect. Definitely would recommend it.

French Laguiole® - Complete 40 Pcs Flatware Set - RED Color - In Heavier 25/10 Stainless Steel (Of

French Laguiole® - Complete 40 Pcs Flatware Set - RED Color - In Heavier 25/10 Stainless SteelSince Amazon.com didn't have the color I wanted, I ordered a 40-pc set of flatware directly from French-Diffusion. Service was great! The flatware arrived within a week of placing my order. In addition, the price was somewhat cheaper than AMZ's, even with the weakened dollar at the time. This flatware is terrific. I really like the feel of the heavier 25/10 gauge set. Not only do they feel great but they look terrific and they clean up easily, either washing by hand or in the dishwasher. After about 6 weeks of daily use and cleaning in the dishwasher, the appearance is still great with no visible signs of deterioration. While only time will tell how durable they are, so far I'm really encouraged. The manufacturing quality seems to be first rate. If looking for a great everyday flatware set or even for special occasions, this is a great choice. Highly recommended, and definitely look into purchasing directly from French-Diffusion. Hopefully, I'll update this review in another year to better comment on durability. ps: I liked this set so much, I purchased another 20-pc set in a different color to add some variety to our meals... again, I ordered directly from French-Diffusion (AMZ doesn't have a 20-pc set of the 25/10 gauge product as far as I can tell).

Six Month Update We have now used this flatware daily for about six months, cleaning daily to multiple times a day with our dishwasher, and the flatware continues to look like brand new with no observable wear. Great product! I will update this review at the one year mark, and all signs point to it being positive.

J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio 7-Piece Block Set

J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio 7-Piece Block SetI bought these knives thinking that Henckels would not put their name to an inferior product, no matter where it is made. After about a months use, rust spots started to appear. These knives were cared for like they were made of the finest China strictly hand washed immediately after use, etc. The final straw came when the chef's knife started pitting on the blade edge.

Fortunately for me, Amazon.com has a fantastic customer service department, and although the thirty day retun limit had expired, they allowed me to return the knives for a store credit. I've subsequently purchased some Wusthof Classics. I know for certain that they are the real deal and won't be cheap and nasty like the Henckels Internationals proved to be.

Horrible product. You can tell these are made in China from inferior "stainless" steel. I put the word stainless in quotations because after about 1.5 months of light use, two of the knives started to develop rust spots. I had read a review from another individual who had the same problem but thought he must be an anomaly as a name brand like Henckels wouldnt put their name on such a low quality product. However, this is not the case and this knife set is in fact garbage.

The worst part wasnt even the fact that it rusted. The worst part is Henckels customer service. After emailing them my issue, nobody got back to me for 3 days. When someone finally contacted me, i sent them pictures of the damage. Nobody emailed me with a resolution and I had to follow up. What kind of customer service is that where the person complaining has to follow up?!?! After I followed up, their response was a generic copy and paste answer saying I should wash the knives with baking soda. Im no chemistry expert but I dont want my food touched with rusted knives (the rust didnt go away after washing with baking soda).

Would give this product zero stars if Amazon allowed me to. Complete waste of money. Should have just added some more money and gotten Wusthof knives which are made in Germany and would probably never rust

I haven't used branded kitchen knives in the past and this is my first experience with these. Ooh man... these are very sharp when compared to the economic value knives I used so far. Found wusthof has great reviews and when I was waiting for a wusthof deal, I got these Henkel's forged priemo for reasonably good deal (at least for forged knives). I liked these knives but I think that we have to sharpen them often to keep them in good shape. Its been only 2 weeks since i bought these, no rust... so far so good. so i gave this 5 stars because i got these for little less then 50 bucks, otherwise i would have given 4 stars. If I don't like these knives in the near future, i would like to try wusthof or willing J.A. henkels(made in Germany)

MIU France Ceramic Nakiri Knife, 6-1/2-Inch

MIU France Ceramic Nakiri Knife, 6-1/2-InchThis is the first ceramic knife I have ever owned and so far, I'm impressed. My first job was as a prep cook, so I've done a lot of chopping and mincing of vegetables and fruit, and endless hours prepping meats for cooking. Here's what I have found:

1. It's sharp, really sharp.

2. The Nakiri shape works well for everything you'll need the knife for, so don't worry if you think it looks a little odd or would handle differently.

3. You'll be paranoid about breaking it the first few times you use it, but you'll get past that.

A note on that last point. All the reviews I have read about ceramic knives say the same thing. They're really sharp and they're really fragile. i.e. don't cut bone and don't throw it down onto a hard surface. The knife itself is thick enough to hold up to some banging around, but you will want to be careful about hitting the blade against hard surfaces. If you treat the rest of your knives like an adult and don't use them for stupid things i.e. knife throwing contests, you don't need to worry about breaking a ceramic knife.

Happy chopping.

I purchased this knife recently after reading about the benefits of ceramic and the description is right super sharp, precision slicing and my food does not brown! I can't believe it. I use this knife for all my prep work in the kitchen it's my new 'go to' knife. I hightly recommend adding this ceramic knife to your cutlery sets.

Buy MIU France Ceramic Nakiri Knife, 6-1/2-Inch Now

I work as a chef, and so i keep an eye out for any kitchen equipment that might be useful at work or at home, or that are interesting for some reason. This knife fits the bill for home use, and is interesting to boot. It is true that the ceramic diminishes the amount of bruising/browning from fruit and veggies. I believe that is directly due to it not being metal, which seems to brown things cut more quickly (chemical reaction? I'm not sure). Although a sharp edge also reduces the rate of decay, as it were, this is the same whether metal or ceramic, so that isnt a direct reason. Anyway, the knife does stay sharp a little longer than, say, a Wusthoff, but not so much so that it becomes a deciding factor.

Okay, now that we've gone through the advertised benefits, which are real, but not so much so that it should be a true deciding factor (unless this is going to be the only knife you use), why buy this knife? For me, the knife is a well balanced blade that is easy to use. It isnt very large, so it fits well in your kitchen drawer when not used (and comes with a sleeve). In fact, the overall feel of the blade becomes the deciding factor for me. It is comfortable and, as i said before, well balanced. With that, the lasting edge and reduced bruising can then become a factor. At a little less than $40, it is very reasonably priced for a quality blade. If you cook frequently, you will still want to have a few other knives on hand (at least a paring knife and an 8 or 10 inch blade for larger scale prep work). Either way, you will find this knife to be handy, and a worthy addition to your personal kitchen (i dont see it as a practical blade in a work setting however).

One further note: ceramic blades are notorious for shattering. So far, i haven't had any issues, but just be aware of this. If you have butter fingers, you may want to avoid ceramics.

I got this on gold box special the other day. The knife is great for cutting vegetables, and makes a gentle push cut almost effortless. It's also very comfortable to hold for a person with smaller hands. But when I tried to slice the ends off a particular sturdy garlic clove it refused to cut. To be fair, my 8" Forschner chef's knife couldn't do it (where did this garlic come from?). But it ended up producing 3 tiny chips across the blade. They don't affect the cutting ability, but at this rate the edge won't last very long. And although they stay sharper longer, you generally have to send ceramic knives away to be sharpened. So I'll probably end up returning this one.

Want MIU France Ceramic Nakiri Knife, 6-1/2-Inch Discount?

A couple of things to note this knife is sharp, but also a bit fragile so be careful with it in all counts. Also it is made in China not France. Overall not a bad ceramic knife but know what you are getting into with ceramic knives -they have pros and cons very sharp but a bit more hassle tan steel blended knives.

Easy-Grip Cook's Knife With Plastic Handle - 12"

Easy-Grip Cook's Knife With Plastic Handle - 12'This is a true commercial grade knife. No fancy box or handle, its meant for one thing, working that's it. It took a few minutes of honing to get it razor sharp, but it took an edge rather easily. Balance is decent with heft towards the front which is to be expected with a knife this size. I have a 10" chefs knive and didn't want to spend a fortune on a 12" since it won't be used too often in a home kitchen and this fits the bill pefectly. I'm very pleased and highly recommend it!

Heavy Duty Meat Cleaver (8" long x 4" wide)

Heavy Duty Meat CleaverI've purchased a Henkel's cleaver several years ago and though it is a good cleaver I never thought I would get one under $30.00 that would surpass a brand named cleaver! This Heavy Duty cleaver cuts through bone as easy as it cuts through meat and vegetables! Living in Hawaii we Huli Huli Pig a lot for parties and special events and this cleaver can chop up a whole pig in no time! My brother is an Executive Chef for a renown restaurant in Hawaii and he was impressed with the weight and cutting edge of this cleaver. I would recommend this cleaver to anyone who cooks for a living or for the home gourmet enthusiast.

This is a massive kitchen cleaver, but it handles well enough for more delicate chores than just chopping up chickens or rib bones. The blade is razor sharp and slices veggies well. Mincing a few pounds of meat takes less time than it does to clean my meat grinder!

I can't WAIT to use it. Seriously don't go out and pay $200 for a Henkels or F.Dick get one of these monsters. Gorgeous. And The Wok Shop is getting my business from now on. Everything is very high quality I will buy from them in the future for certain.

This is a fantastic, heavy cleaver: chops off heads, feet, and body parts quickly and efficiently. However it quickly becomes obvious that the money saved was in the quality of the metal. It will very quickly rust and discolor from blood and other liquids. No big deal. Just scrub it off, wash it, dry it, and its ready for use again. This is its only weakness I've noticed in the short time I've had one.

Want Heavy Duty Meat Cleaver (8" long x 4" wide) Discount?

Great cleaver. Takes a razor edge but doesn't hold it as well as a higher end German knife (much less a Shun, japanese). This thing will replace your 8-10" chef knife if you let it. If you can handle the weight this puppy does it for you. You can chop, slice, mince, cleave, scoop, turn, beat and even use it as a spatula. As a line chef this was my go to during busy rushes, allowing me to perform a myriad of tasks with just one tool. Keep your steel handy though, the cleaver takes a great edge but is soft and needs frequent, light steeling on a fine steel to avoid having to hone it after heavy use....

Totally Bamboo 20-7930 3-Piece Cutting Board Set

Totally Bamboo 20-7930 3-Piece Cutting Board SetI have a set of these cutting boards. However most boards need proper care. Never put them in the dishwasher. I clean mine with a qt size spray bottle with 1/2 teaspoon bleach in it. I spray the board then sprinkle my cheapest salt on the board and then scrub rinse with warm water and then dry well with a towel. After dry once a week I wipe them down with food grade mineral oil on a cloth wash cloth. Not to worry as they have mineral oil in every grocery store or drug store. This will keep all of your cutting boards in good shape. I use certain boards for meat and others for veggies. I write with a marker on the side so I am never confused which is which. They will last for years and years. I have a board that was my Great Grandmothers that I use for veggies only and it still is a good board. I also have a board that I use for making bread pizza dough an pastries. This set I use for fish and one for sandwiches, one for one meat. They say we should do this and that is why I bought this set. Thinking of getting a few more sets to give as gifts. Hope this helps everyone.

I had never used bamboo cooking boards...so I used it for the first time...and the wood started peeling off! I washed it...and it shed worse. So I did some investigation. You have to cure the wood with mineral oil. When I say have to...I actually mean HAVE TO. BEFORE USE and often for the first month. Monthly after that. Wood is better for knives, which is why I got them, but be prepared. Use the mineral oil on it....before you use it.

Follow up: Over a year later...

I've had these for over a year now. They are doing well and holding up well. The first month was a little bit of work...but you can tell when they are starting to dry out and need to be re-oiled, I don't find it to be very high maintenance. I researched and from what I discovered, mineral in the drugstore section is the same things as the expensive ones made for curing bamboo. So I buy the cheap stuff and it works just fine. Just be sure to not leave the board submersed in water(my daughter did that on accident and the board warped, after a couple months it dried out and flattened again), and wipe off the extra oil after curing it.

We bought these and were pretty excited to get them. We are always cutting fresh vegtables and fruit and ended using these daily for a few days. We loved the handles and strudiness. However, after washing them a few times, they began to crack and spilt. Then they even deformed so they didn't lay flat. We ended up having to return them. I do agree with another customer review that the smallest cutting board is too small to really do anything with also.

Best set on the market-money wise, space wise, using wise, they clean up nicely & stack in the corner out of the way but handy when I need them. Light weight unlike the other boards I have owned. I just love them!

First time I washed these boards they started to splinter and warp. After a few weeks they were so warped they became dangerous to use and then just split in half. I know how to take care of bamboo boards, these are clearly bad quality. I never put them in the dishwasher. Total waste of money.

Pure Komachi 2 Series Bread Knife

Pure Komachi 2 Series Bread KnifeAt my house, the bread knife gets used every single day, by every member of the family. It gets hammered.

This thing was under ten bucks, cuts through even hard crusty bread like a laser, leaves very few crumbs on the cutting board, and still cuts like a champ a year later.

When it dulls, if I can't sharpen it using a pull-through sharpener (had a little success with this so far) then I'll just buy another just like it. Your serrated, bread-type knives, should be just like this one. Cheap to replace because sharpening them is just a pain, able to hold a good edge for their purpose, easy to clean, and high performance in their intended job. The Kai reverse-scallop edge on this knife is as close to perfect in this price class as I could find.

The only change I'd make is to make it an inch longer and charge a dollar more. You can still cut the big loaves with this, but you'll wish your blade were longer. A small price to pay.

Best bread knife anywhere. Sits proudly in the block with my Shuns, which get professionally sharpened on a regular basis.

You can buy a Shun or Global bread knife, and they are insanely great. But you'll regret the cost when they need sharpening. This knife uses the Shun bread knife edge, has good quality steel, and is easily cleaned with its nonstick coating. I have two Pure Komachi knives, this one and the sandwich knife with the same edge style. I depend on both. The rest of my knives are full-on Global and Shun, and I recommend them just as highly.

Sometimes the best knife is expensive, sometimes the best knife is inexpensive. In this case, I go with the inexpensive one.

Try it--it's only a few bucks and you'll probably love it as much as I do.

This is the best bread knife my husband and I have ever used. It cuts all kinds of bread (spongy, hard-crusted, holiday fruit and nut-filled cakes, etc.)smoothly and quickly without tearing or excessive crumbs. It's also been used to slice turkey and other items -it's hard to keep it only for bread because it works so well, and also the bright orange color calls out from the knife block! But don't be fooled by the toy-like color; it's supersharp and sent me to the ER for several stitches when I fumbled it as I was showing it off to a visitor (it barely touched my finger and I didn't even feel it when it cut my finger.) The light weight of the knife may have contributed to the fumble, and is something to keep in mind when first handling it. In spite of that, it immediately became a favorite in our kitchen. This was supposed to be a temporary knife until a "good one" came on sale, but we are no longer in the market for a high-end (expensive) bread knife; this knife is great and we both highly recommend it!

I bake bread..lots of bread. Mostly, I bake the hard, crusty hearth type breads...artisan bread, if you will. When you take the time to create a decent loaf, the last thing you want is to have your bread ripped and shredded because you don't have a sharp serrated bread knife . This is the best bread knife I own. I'm ordering 2 more because my family uses the one I have now for just about everything, and I'm tired of digging around the dishwasher to find the dang thing. I like the feel of it, and the weight..it has a good balance, and the curve of the blade is great for cutting into a crusty loaf of rustic bread. I have the expensive jobbies, and nice though they are, this one is everyone's favorite. The one I have is about a year and a half old and still has a good sharp edge. For the money.....the Komachi can't be beat. (This is also great for cutting into a cantelope)

We bought an entire set of these Knives. I read the praise from other Reviewers and they are right. These are wicked sharp and as careful as I tried to be, still wound up cutting myself while cleaning one.

My gripe with these Knives are the Handle material. It is a Hard Plastic. It has no texture, design grip or rubberized coating, etc. It makes it not only feel super cheap, but outright dangerous for slipping when your hands are wet. I really was not expecting much for $8-10 a knife, but this is not something to overlook. The worst part is if the plastic gets a nick in it; you get a reminder of how cheap these knives are each time you use it, as the bur digs into you hand like a thorn. Sorry, Pure Komachi... I really wanted to like these Knives because the Blade is of fantastic high quality for the price.

I own a set of the Komachi knives: Santoku Multi, Veggie, Fish, and Tomato blade. This is by far my favorite out of all of them! This light weight blade easily maneuvers through tough crusts like butter! With the other knives, I feel like I need extra weight to the blade for stability. This is not so with the bread knife. The scalloped blade makes for a really clean cut that you can't get with a serrated edge. Excellent product for an excellent price!

LamsonSharp 10-Piece Forged Knife Set with Block

LamsonSharp 10-Piece Forged Knife Set with BlockI remember as a kid my dad had a carving knife by LamsonSharp. He'd take it out for thanksgiving and easter and then hand wash and dry it and put it away in it's case. He was a meat cutter so he knew knives.

These knives are cast, not stamped, so they feel solid without a lot of flex. They are heavier than low quality knives but not too heavy. The rosewood handle is thick enough that the handles feel more square than cheaper knives (which tend to be flatter). This makes them very easy to hold. They cut through things like a warm knife would cut through butter. Even my wife is impressed by their ease of use.

These are expensive but over the past 25 years we have bought and thrown away dozens of knives. In the long run these should be practical and we'll pass them onto our kids. The factory offers to replace any that become worn or damaged, and to resharpen them for free so there will be no reason to ever throw them away.

I researched and purchased the calphalon knife set. It is nicely weighted, however, I do not know how to hone knives. If I had puchased these, I could have sent them back to be honed. Will be replacing my knives with the Lamson.

I got tired of getting by with cheap knives, and trying to bargain hunt when always, always, you get what you pay for at least when it comes to this kind of product. I've given Lamson carving sets as gifts, ignoring superstition, and gotten appreciation years later. People remember when you believe they deserve top quality.

I got these about a year ago. They work as new. No chips, dullness, and we are dedicated home cookers. We don't dishwasher them just in case it might age the handles, but that's probably obsessive. I think the six inch was judged the finest knife of its kind in a magazine, Bon Apetite? That's my go-to knife for most needs. The bread knife slices like you bought sliced bread. Haven't used the fileters but that's probably my cooking habits. The non-fileting blades are thick, can't say effortless. The balance and heft are extraordinary. Mine came with an extra, Japanese style knife that doesn't fit in the block. Seen it used on the cooking channel. Haven't found it useful for my style, doesn't fit in the block, but a nice knife regardless. Maybe it was a special. There are different handles. Mine is rosewood with a thick resin finish that seems quite waterproof. Make sure yours are drop forged. Lamson also makes stamped. The silvers, these, I think are their top of the line.

As a bonus, you are helping workers in the USA make a living wage. What a concept! If they ever dull, you can send them back and they'll make the factory sharp for the cost of shipping. As a lifetime purchase they're a bargain, and will bring a smile to your face every time you use them.

I was looking for a good set of knives and preferably made in the USA. The LamsonSharp 10 piece set arrived on time and the knives so far are very sharp and seem to hold a good sharp edge. I bought the kitchen shears separately and this was an excellent buy. The Rosewood handles are beautiful, particularly after I applied mineral oil. I didn't give this a 5-star rating because the block that comes with the set is a bit front heavy or light heavy in the back which allow the set in the block to tip forward if you are not careful. This has not been a problem, however and I would buy the set again. I did contact the manufacturer three weeks ago about the block, but have not heard back yet.

Felix Knife Storage, Glass

Felix Knife Storage, GlassBeautiful knife storage unit. Well made, solid, heavy and looks really nice on my counter. Worth the price of $88 -However, the picture is deceiving. It says it holds 5 knives, but what the heck, I might be able to get 6 or 7 depending on the size of the knife, right? Well, not really. Across the top of the glass are two stainless steel bars that protect the top of the glass -no problem with that. But then there are 4 1 inch vertical bars which I wasn't expecting. They are welded to the horizontal bars and guarantees that you can't get more then 5 knives in the holder. This is not shown in the picture and not what I expected. If the company would offer to trade me for no vertical bars or maybe 2 bars if they need it for support, I'd give this 5 stars easily. I'm considering taking this to a metal shop to see if they can be removed without damaging the unit.

1/27/13 I am long overdue writing this review and updating this knife storage to 5 stars. After a month or so I was playing around with this again and realized the 4 1 inch vertical bars would simply flip out of the way. So you can use them or not. My problem was solved.

I chose this glass knife storage because it is sleek and modern with the added advantage of being able to see your knives through the clear glass!

Victorinox Cutlery Edge-Mag 12-1/2-Inch Magnetic Knife Blade Protector, Set of 3

Victorinox Cutlery Edge-Mag 12-1/2-Inch Magnetic Knife Blade Protector, Set of 3I've had clip on and slide on protectors for my ten knives which, as a personal chef, I travel with on a daily basis. All have come loose at some time or another occasionally leaving my knives close to causing harm when my bag was opened, or worse, edge to edge contact leaving my knives damaged.

This isn't even possible with these magnetic sheaths'. Simply pry them open, lay the cutting edge into the fold and close them. No amount of swinging or dropping will make these protectors come off the blades. Since the cutting edge never contacts anything harder than itself, your blade will be as sharp as it was when you put it away. The white color is perfect for using a sharpie to label or write your name on them and stay visible.

The single drawback, and this didn't warrant a lower star rating, is that if food is still on your blade (my fault), and the blade is stored long enough for the food to dry, it may cause the magnets to stick to one another and when you pry them opoen for the next use, the surface may cling together and cause the magnetic surface to tear.

If you spend good money on your blades, as I have, it makes sense to use the best protector you can. This is the best!

I use one of these for my slicing knife: Victorinox 12-Inch Granton Edge Slicing Knife with Fibrox Handle. The knife is much too long for my knife block, and much too sharp to have loose in a kitchen drawer. These protectors firmly cover the knife blade, and are deep enough that they don't touch the cutting surface. I would definitely purchase them again.

Victorinox is one of my favorite brands in knives... They also make knife protectors... But... This one has been returned... As a chef who lugs his knives around, my knife bag becomes heavy enough for all my tools... Adding three of these, made it feel heavier!!!... But, and it's a big BUT, it protects your knives. Keeps your knives in place and won't move around. It won't get loosen unlike the other edge protectors... It's good if you are not carrying your knives around.

It's 'fully' priced at 50 cents per inch

The weight of the product broke through the packaging during shipping.

It costs about as much as the poly knife safes but does not provide storage that is as secure.

The white plastic covering is very thin, delicate and prone to marring.

Magnetic debri from the manufacturing process was a chore to clean up.

Saw it advertised as being made in Switzerland but packaging indicates made in USA.

While more compact than the poly knife safes it can add quite a bit of weight to the knife storage drawer.

Expected better from Forschner Victorinox.

$6 is a lot of tin to cover a $30 bread knife

Pink Imitation Pearl Style Cake Knife and Server Set for Wedding Party

Pink Imitation Pearl Style Cake Knife and Server Set for Wedding PartyThis set worked out just fine for cutting the cake at the wedding. When it arrived, the bow was in a little disarray. It took a while to get it to look as nice as we wanted it to (the "pearl" on the bow is glued on-you need to wlrk around it). The cake was sitting in an area that everyone passed by so it needed to "look" nice as well as obviously, cut the cake. Maybe a change in the packaging would alliviate the bow problem.

Oneida Frost 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1

Oneida Frost 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1I ordered eight of these settings and each one arrived on time and in great condition! These utensils are beautiful! I highly recommend them! They also have a nice weight to them. I know it may sound silly, but they fit nicely in the mouth. The design is well designed!

This matches my older flatware I got for a wedding present 10 years ago!! It pays to purchase quality!! I also ordered iced teaspoons also, and they were equally good!

I love the design and aesthetic appeal of this silverware. I have several sets that I have been using for 3 years. So far they have not tarnished, dulled, or scratched, and as always, Amazon's pricing is hard to beat.

23 Piece Cutlery Set with Triple-Rivet Handle

23 Piece Cutlery Set with Triple-Rivet HandleThis set has everything needed for the kitchen. The revolving base allows for ease of movement to find which knife I need, no matter the area I am in the kitchen. The knives are of well quality. Great addition to my kitchen cutlery.

Great quality knife set blade goes all the way through the handle of the knife which is key for long lasting strength. They come sharp, and there is a sharpener included. There are probably knives you will never ever use in this set, but it's still nice to have them. The meat cleaver is awesome, and the 8 steak knives do a good job.

When I received the set there was a crack in the "rotary" piece for the bottom of the block. It still works fine though. It must of broke while being delivered, because the box was beat up quite a bit. It seems that these knives, though sharp do rust easily, so be careful when washing in the dishwasher. I would just recommend washing them by hand.

Oneida Boutonniere 65-Piece Flatware Sets, Service for 12

Oneida Boutonniere 65-Piece Flatware Sets, Service for 12I bought this set after returning another set I bought on Amazon. This set is the real deal heavy weight steel, very difficult to bend and so far has held up in the dishwasher just fine. All the pieces feel really good in the hand. Nice balance and weight. The larger spoons are a big large but I wanted that. I like a nice large soup/cereal spoon. The tines on the larger forks are pretty long but very sturdy and practically unbendable. Highly recommend this set.
